Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 - Real Fear Appearance

Master Phils, I want to tell you that Wellness killed all of them on the very first night, and it didn't take her long to finish them. They are all dead now. And the way she appears… she is not like that at all. She is hiding many things from you. And your master will make her reveal every single truth. So let's see whether she lies or tells the truth.

Your servant, Philip.

"She is hiding a lot from you, Commander," Well said calmly.

"She must have come here with a purpose, right? Because now, we can't even trust children anymore," Well continued.

"No… Wellness is not the kind of girl who would lie to me," Phils said with a soft smile.

"Well… I feel bad for her," Well smiled back.

"You told your master to find out everything about her, and he will torture her until she reveals all her secrets," Well said quietly.

Phils closed his eyes to rest.

"I can't torture her… she's just a little girl. That's why I had to send her to the master. And one more thing—whatever information Philip sends, it should stay only between us. Especially Sam… he should not know anything about this," Phils said.

---

I opened my eyes. Small rays of sunlight filtered through the trees and pricked my vision.

"So I've been lying here the whole night…" I whispered with sleepy eyes.

I stood up and picked a sharp stone. I started searching for a tree that contained water. I didn't know where I was going… I was just walking. Then I spotted a Gotu Kola plant—actually not just one, but many of them.

Gotu Kola… it is a plant whose leaves are very nutritious. Eating them heals wounds and gives strength to the body. It was a life-saving plant for me. I plucked one.

"No, I should take all of them… they will help later," I said to myself.

I pulled out many plants and tied them together using a strong root. Carrying them on my shoulder, I went in search of water again.

---

I had no idea how my body was still alive. Yesterday, I couldn't even move. While thinking this, my ears caught the distant sound of flowing water — like water crashing onto rocks.

Suddenly, a spark of life ran through me. I followed the sound slowly but steadily.

And then… I saw a small waterfall, its water flowing forward in soft waves. A refreshing energy filled my entire body.

I put the plants down and quickly dipped my hands into the water. My eyes were glittering with joy.

"It feels like someone has given me the treasure of the whole world!" I said happily.

I drank as much water as I could and washed my face. I washed the plants as well, then ate them raw — they lose nutrients when cooked, and I had no intention of dying because of hunger.

The taste was mildly sweet and watery. After breakfast, I lay down again… but doing nothing felt strange now.

So, I stood up and decided to do something. I collected colorful flowers and began painting on stones.

The Last Night of the Week

It had been six days surviving in that forest. Tonight was the last night, and after this, I could finally begin the actual training.

While lying on the ground, the delicious smell of roasting meat drifted through the air. I was shocked.

Who could be enjoying themselves in such a wild forest so late at night?

The scent of roasted meat triggered hunger in my mouth. I followed the smell step by step… until I finally reached the place.

There was a tent with light inside, and a few men were sitting outside, eating. My heart started pounding hard. They were drinking… some weren't even wearing shirts. I froze. My legs refused to move.

One man noticed me. He stood up and walked toward me — smiling. He wore no shirt. My eyes trembled. He came too close.

"Hey girl… what are you doing alone in such a lonely forest? Come with us. With you, the fun will be double," he said with a grin.

I couldn't speak. It felt like I wasn't even there anymore.

"Hmm… so your silence means yes? Come on, let's have some fun," he said with a big grin.

"It's freezing tonight, isn't it? You must want some warmth…"

He touched my cheek with his hand.
