Emily was reviewing schedules when Isaac appeared in her doorway, no knock, just that signature stillness that said something was weighing on him. She looked up immediately. "Oh dear. You've got that look again." He frowned. "What look?"
"The one you get when you're thinking about a certain Miss Kang."
Isaac froze. "…I'm not."
Emily smiled over her glasses. "Of course you're not. That's why you've been standing there for three minutes, deciding whether to come in or flee." He sighed, closing the door behind him. "You're insufferable." "Occupational hazard. Now sit before you combust." she said, casually. He sat, shoulders tight. "You were right. She's been on my mind. More than I'd like." Emily folded her arms. "So you admit it now."
"I don't have to like admitting it," he muttered. "It's not appropriate. She works for me. I don't… I can't think of her that way."
"Then what way do you think of her?"
