"Is that so?"
Facing Ms. Aikins's approaching lips, Eric still maintained a cold, expressionless face.
"Of course, I understand you. You maintain a facade of not wanting anyone to get close, thinking it's a cool trick that will attract girls. I admit your trick worked; I was attracted to you."
Ms. Aikins cupped Eric's face with one hand and slowly leaned in, attempting to kiss his mouth.
At the same time, a faint pink, ethereal mist drifted from her lips into Eric's mouth.
Eric also smelled the strong perfume emanating from her body, along with a faint, fishy sandalwood scent.
Splat!
Suddenly, a hand shot out and clamped onto Ms. Aikins's chin.
Just as their lips were about to meet, Eric stopped her.
"Generally speaking, I don't like being passive, and I especially don't like being treated as prey."
Eric released her chin, his eyes glinting with specks of orange-red light, "Furthermore, I'm accustomed to deterring or even eliminating ill-intentioned presences at the source."
Startled, Ms. Aikins retreated two steps, looking at Eric's reddened eyes with a face full of astonishment.
She was not only surprised by Eric's abnormality but also shocked that he hadn't been charmed by her!
The misty gas she exhaled from her mouth, as long as it touched a member of the opposite sex, would make them obedient to her every command.
Why was her charm ineffective on this high school student in front of her?!
Just as she was panicking, there was a knock on the office door.
"Ms. Aikins, it's Chloe. There's something I'd like to discuss with you."
As if granted amnesty, Ms. Aikins immediately rushed to the door, vigorously unlatched it, and stumbled out, almost bumping into Chloe on the way.
Chloe and Pete exchanged glances, unsure of what had happened.
Only Clark had faintly overheard Eric and Ms. Aikins's conversation, looking at the fleeing Ms. Aikins with surprise and uncertainty.
Eric, meanwhile, emerged from the office with a calm expression, glanced at the trio, and then turned to leave.
"So what happened?"
Chloe blinked, looking at Clark and Pete with some confusion.
"I don't know. It doesn't look like Eric was the one who got the short end of the stick."
Pete quipped, "But Chloe, your impromptu interruption worked well. You successfully prevented a situation that could have developed in an unhealthy direction."
"You mean Eric tried to do something inappropriate to Ms. Aikins?"
"I didn't say that. Perhaps you could refer to Clark's opinion."
Pete tossed the topic to Clark.
"I don't know."
Clark shook his head and said hesitantly, "I think Ms. Aikins might be a bit off."
"Uh-huh."
Chloe propped her chin with one hand, "I remember in the last biology class, you kept glancing back at Ms. Aikins. Or are you saying, Clark, that all these excessively sexy teachers are abnormal in your eyes?"
Facing Chloe's teasing, Clark shrugged helplessly, "I'm not a philosopher, Chloe, so you don't need to look at me with half-mocking, half-suspicious eyes."
"'The reason for such a gaze is that they too easily and too often make mistakes, going astray.' Nietzsche's *Beyond Good and Evil*.
It's truly surprising, Clark, that you're using Nietzsche to debate with me!"
Chloe's eyes widened in surprise, then she smiled and walked over to pat Clark's arm, "However, Nietzsche doesn't acknowledge love. He believes that between men and women, it's just a mutual attraction of hormones. Men desire women, women desire men; it's simply a physiological urge. So, isn't it quite normal for you to be attracted to Ms. Aikins?"
Clark: "…"
A faint sadness welled up.
Discussing Nietzsche with Chloe was like teaching a fish to swim.
Ms. Aikins, unsettled, stayed at school until very late before leaving.
Her entire afternoon was spent in anxiety and fear.
Why did her ability fail?
Why could Eric's eyes emit a terrifying crimson glow?
And the killing intent that suddenly erupted from his body, as if solidifying into blades surrounding her, ready to reap her life at any moment.
That terrifying, chilling sensation made her tremble all over, even thinking about it now.
In the darkness of the night, she walked down the corridor in high heels, her mind heavy with worries.
The "click-clack" of her footsteps echoed particularly long in the night.
Ms. Aikins had only taken two steps down the corridor when she saw a dark figure standing in the shadows ahead.
In the pitch-black night, two eyes emitted a dark red light, terrifying like a wild beast in the darkness.
"Ms. Aikins."
A voice that terrified Ms. Aikins came. Eric slowly emerged from the corridor, the red light emanating from his eyes faintly dissipating.
"You seem a bit uneasy."
"Who… who exactly are you?"
Ms. Aikins, who had always played with emotions and prided herself on understanding men, felt a surge of uncontrollable fear and took a step back.
"Ms. Aikins, I'm very interested in your ability. An ability to charm the opposite sex, like Poison Ivy?!"
Eric slowly walked towards her, "Originally, for a woman like you, my initial plan was to crush you like a cockroach—"
As Eric spoke, he reached Ms. Aikins, extending a hand to gently touch her cheek.
"No… don't kill me."
Ms. Aikins pleaded with Eric, "I can give you anything you want."
Her large, pitiful eyes looked at Eric. After a moment of hesitation, she began to remove her top, then gritted her teeth and unhooked her bra.
Her ample, unspeakable assets immediately sprang forth.
"You… you can do anything you want with it."
Eric: "…"
The visually impactful scene before him momentarily stunned him.
A primal force suddenly erupted within the Homelander Template, giving rise to an impulse that even he deeply despised.
Struggling to suppress this urge, Eric withdrew his hand from her cheek.
"You're still useful to me, so I won't kill you."
Suppressing the unknown impulse generated within the Homelander Template, as well as the hormones produced by his high school body, Eric took a deep breath, "But now you are my research subject. Reign in your overly flaunting hormones, or I might change my mind at any time."
As he spoke, he fired Heat Vision from his eyes, at an extremely low power, towards Ms. Aikins's chest.
The Heat Vision, which terrified Ms. Aikins, did not penetrate her body. Instead, it carved several letters onto her chest like a tattoo machine.
The slightly burning and painful sensation even gave her a stimulating feeling of both pain and pleasure that she couldn't resist.
"These things carved on your body, if I want, they can take your life at any time. So, you will become smart."
After using Heat Vision to carve a mark on her chest, Eric casually bluffed her, then turned and left.
Seeing Eric disappear from her sight in an instant, Ms. Aikins gasped for breath and collapsed to the ground.
After wiping the sweat from her forehead, she looked down at her chest.
"Homelander?"
