Chapter 84 - Chapter 84. The Demoness: Her Last Breath

Something supernatural was happening to the All-Seeing. Her hair was lifted by winds from other realities. She rose several feet above the ground and now moved forward only through the air. The energy field of her magic was so strong that it filled the Cursed, who walked beside her, with power. His eyes ignited with blue flames. In his hands, his dagger and sword burned with the same fire.

The All-Seeing flew forward through the air toward the castle.

She swept her right hand to the side, and all the black creatures hunting them were in an instant swept away and carried off by magical winds.

She extended her left hand forward, and the castle's drawbridge, obeying her will, lowered, opening the passage.

They entered, bringing death and destruction to their enemies. No creature could survive under the force of the All-Seeing's magic and the Cursed's weapons.

They reached the main dark hall, where the High Mage of the Demoness was guarding the red crystal of her life.

The All-Seeing's magic and the Cursed's blades destroyed the mage, and then the crystal.

The world trembled for the third time.

The veil of the hostile land dissipated, and they found themselves in the dark hall of the castle, where many bodies lay on the floor. These were the bodies of the City's inhabitants. Among them lay dead monsters and warriors with terrifying faces. On the dais near the throne, the bodies of the Sorceress and the Demoness lay motionless. The Sorceress rested her hands on the floor and slowly pushed herself up.

The Cursed and the All-Seeing approached her.

"I have caught up with you," the Cursed said. "Your evil path is over."

"This is not the end," the Sorceress snarled with a hunted grin. Her lips were bloodied. Blood dripped from her mouth. "In the Valley of Sorcerers, where I came from, new and terrible magic is being created, and soon they will find a way to deal with you."

One wide swing, one strike—and the Sorceress's head rolled across the floor.

Something very wrong was happening in the hall.

The Cursed turned and saw a gigantic female face beneath the floor, which had suddenly become transparent. Her enormous eyes burned with white light, and her mouth was opening, revealing wedges of long, sharp teeth, intended to crush and devour yet more doomed victims.

What is that?!!" someone among the remaining survivors screamed in a voice that was not his own, simultaneously losing his sanity.

The All-Seeing raised her hand, and streams of white fire rained down upon the giant face from above. The terrifying visage vanished. But then it appeared again beyond the tall narrow windows of the castle. The blazing lights of her eyes stared piercingly at the Cursed.

"Come to me!" a terrifying voice rolled in uncontrollable thunderous waves, breaking all locks and barriers within minds.

The Cursed felt his body become paralyzed, and an alien will took control of him. He rose into the air, smashed a window, and flew straight toward the terrifying face.

Black clouds thickened above. Between them and the cursed land hung a gigantic white female face. It was both beautiful and horrifying at the same time. Its mouth, with long giant teeth, opened, and black winds began to pull the Cursed inside. This was the inevitable end.

But already on his approach to the monstrous maw of ancient evil, he felt the power of the All-Seeing. It changed the direction of his movement and granted him strength. With a furious acceleration, he raised his sword and dagger and burst straight into the giant eye blazing with white fire. The ancient creature screamed. Its roar shattered all the windows of the castle, and cracks ran across some of the walls.

The cracks also spread across the face of the ancient sorceress. After a moment, her giant face shattered into pieces. The Cursed remained hanging in the air. Then he fell to the ground and did not move for a while.

When he got up, he saw the All-Seeing had come up to him.

They embraced.
