One week later…
Isaac sat on the edge of a red velvet couch that wrapped around the perimeter of the room. Two ornate wooden tables sat in the middle of the room, topped with fine wines, expensive cheeses and various seafood dishes. In the middle of the table sat a large bowl with shark fin soup.
Ms. Friendly entered the room and beelined to Isaac, sitting down right next to him.
"This is a different vibe than GoGo's Girls in Oregon. I think I prefer this one," She whispered to him.
Isaac smiled and whispered back, "I'm pretty sure GoGo has investors in this club. He has to protect their interests, so he keeps it up a lot better. Besides, we're in Cali. You know people are a lot pickier here."
Dirty Bomb pushed himself off of the couch and grabbed a plate of crab legs. He sat down next to Ms. Friendly with them and messily cracked them open.
"So when is GoGo supposed to be getting here? He left us out to dry on that 'party'. If he was there, half of our people probably wouldn't have gotten captured."
Isaac leaned forward and smiled at him, "Don't worry, Eli. He'll be here. He wouldn't miss this."
Before Isaac could finish his sentence, someone pushed the doors open and closed in on Isaac. Ms. Friendly got up in less than a second and stood between the two of them.
Once she examined the figure's features, she sat down with a sigh.
"Cameron. Weren't you on assignment directly from the boss?"
The young man with long curly hair covering his face nodded, "The assignment is done. Finally. I wanted to get it done before your party, but the Mob pulled out a secret weapon on me."
Isaac raised an eyebrow, "The Mob gave you trouble? Don't they pride themselves on doing things the old-school way, no metahumans?"
Cameron squeezed in between Isaac and Ms. Friendly and laughed heartily, "Apparently they made an exception for one guy. And I see why. But now that that's done, I can finally be back where I belong."
Isaac breathed a sigh of relief, "Excellent. We just had a lot of our people get bagged, we could use your firepower, Cameron."
Cameron frowned, "Wait, so you'll call her Ms. Friendly with no issues, but you still won't call me the Commander? Even after I taught you so much…" He mock cried into his sleeve.
Ms. Friendly rolled her eyes and pushed him lightly, "You change your codename too much, Cameron. I'm sure you'll be calling yourself something else by next month."
Cameron laid his head back on the couch and groaned, "Ugh…and they only put seafood out for us too. I hate seafood, I want lamb or steak…"
GoGo, Chef Tim and Derrick the DJ pushed the door open and entered the room with several unfamiliar faces following behind them.
"Sorry about the menu, Cameron. You should've come on Thursday, "Chef Tim called out sardonically, "We had some glazed lamb chops over yellow rice. You would've loved it."
Cameron groaned louder, "Ugh…we missed it by two days…"
GoGo adjusted his mink coat slightly to cover his bare chest and walked over to Isaac. He gave him a firm handshake, "Isaac. Nice to see you again. Sorry we've missed some of the recent events out in Oregon, your boss assigned us to help Cameron with the Mob, since we were already feuding with them."
Isaac smiled pleasantly, "No need to apologize. I should be saying sorry for allowing your Goldenboy and the Others to get captured. I should've planned that operation more carefully."
GoGo shook his head, "It's fine. If Goldenboy didn't want to be captured, he wouldn't have been captured. He probably just wanted a short rest before we begin our next phase of operations. From what I'm aware of, he's in a county jail since he's not a metahuman. So we'll spring him out soon."
GoGo looked at the ceiling, "And as for the Others…I don't believe they're strong enough for what's coming next. Unless something drastic happens and we desperately need more firepower, we can leave them in whatever hole they're in. Since the feud with the Mob is finally over, I finally have access to all of my executives."
Isaac looked at all the people that entered behind GoGo.
"There are some faces here I don't recognize. I know Chef Tim and Derrick, but who are these others?"
Chef Tim chimed in, pushing a young woman toward Isaac, "This is Sous Chef Darrien. She prepared the hors d'oeuvres and the soup, so if you're enjoying them, thank her."
"Thank you, Chef Darrien!" Dirty Bomb called out from across the room.
Chef Darrien, clad in chef's whites, nodded and looked at the floor.
Derrick the DJ motioned to a young woman in baggy clothes with a pair of large headphones on, bobbing her head to music, "This is Inez. While I'm more of a mobile DJ, she plays exclusively at this club. Her ability is similar to mine, she gets stronger as she listens to music and dances. But she has a downside I don't. If she stops dancing for a long period, she starts to feel ill. So don't mind her if she seems a little…hyper."
GoGo motioned to two twins, a boy and a girl, with striking features like runway models and red skin, "This is Simi and Sammi, our head host and head server. Along with Chef Darrien, they are chief of strategy for planning any discreet operations."
Sammi put his hand out toward Isaac, "Wow! You're that Isaac, right? You're like…famous dude! They say all the meta incidents in Oregon recently are because of you! Is that true?"
Simi hit him hard in the ribs, "Idiot! In our business, it's a bad thing to be famous. And you know to never ask about what crimes someone has committed."
Isaac chuckled, "It's fine. If I didn't want to be known, I wouldn't use my real name all the time. And to answer your question, Sammi, I'll just say I've been keeping the heroes on their toes. I can't wait to work with you two."
Sammi rubbed his ribs, and Simi clasped her hands together and swooned over him.
GoGo grabbed a few pieces of sushi and put it on a small plate, "Your last mission was a success, but there were a few critical losses, Isaac. Should we be wary of them leaking any information?"
Isaac leaned back and smiled, "Not at all. I know exactly what they know. And the information they know is only going to help us trap and eliminate the heroes. Pretty soon, Oregon will belong to the Black Company."
Isaac glanced at Cameron and Ms. Friendly, "Imagine that, you two. Our organization controlling an entire state. It's exciting just thinking about it."
