Chapter 24 - Morality Not Caculated

Miss Silvia, finally getting to her senses, pushed Trevor away slightly.

"Trevor, no—stop that, please," Miss Silvia said, gasping, her hands weak but her face stern with seriousness.

Trevor's mouth had already sent shivers down her spine, making her feel wanted by a man again, but she just couldn't take it.

She couldn't do this with her own student—what kind of teacher would that make her? And the risks were too much. What if someone walked in?

Trevor didn't flinch. He moved closer, his face just a breath away from hers.

He slowly lifted the hair that slightly obstructed the view of her eyes and whispered,

"It shouldn't be like this. You're more precious than how you're treated. Just let me show you how much you mean to me."

Miss Silvia flinched slightly, goosebumps appearing across her skin. She could feel it—every single word he said was making her hot.

The restlessness kept creeping in, the urge to kiss him deeply and show him how happy she was that someone admired her.

But she couldn't—she couldn't just do it. Summoning all the self-control she had left, she wore a stern face and pushed him away.

"Trevor, this should be the last time this ever happens. Am I clear on that? Now leave," she said quietly, almost regretting her words.

Trevor looked at her for a moment before finally stepping back.

"Well then, I'll still keep admiring you from a distance.

After all, I've faced a similar fate myself. I've never been accepted throughout my stay here. Just last week, my girlfriend even cheated on me…"

Trevor paused again, realizing he had said too much.

He then calmly lowered his head.

"I've always valued you. I've hated all the ignorance and lack of appreciation.

I really thought one day I'd get the chance to talk to you. But I guess that's just a dream. Still, I'll never stop valuing flowers in the midst of grass."

Trevor said quietly as he proceeded out of the room.

Well, system, I thought her emotional barrier was down. The bonding was high, and even her arousal shot past 80 percent. So what the hell happened? What on earth actually went wrong? Trevor asked, his tone low as embarrassment began to set in. He had only been that bold because he thought the stats were on his side.

> [Well, you forgot one stat — moral barrier and conscience. This can't be handled by the system. If your partner has a low value in this stat, then you're lucky. If not, you'll have to break it yourself.]

"What on earth…" Trevor squinted his face as he headed back home.

Just as he was about to leave, Miss Silvia called out,

"Trevor!" she said as she walked out of the door.

Trevor turned to look at her without saying a word.

"Well, it's late. Let me drop you off," she said. She had already been feeling intensely bad for the way she treated the only person who had ever shown real interest in her.

Trevor silently declined the offer, giving the excuse that his house was close by.

He turned and began walking home. Miss Silvia watched him from her car as he drifted farther away, a whole swarm of emotions swirling through her.

After some time, she quietly got into her car and left for home.

Trevor kept walking slowly along the street. In truth, Miss Silvia was being undervalued. Scenarios kept popping up in his head—like the time she had lectured them throughout the entire combat class period, only for Mr. Alex to report her to the principal, claiming she had given wrong instructions.

And what did the principal do? Well, what else—she suspended her for a week, for no just reason.

The more Trevor thought about it, the sadder he became. She really didn't deserve that.

Before he knew it, he was already at his doorstep. Opening the door, he saw his mom at the dining table. She had already prepared a really nice dinner.

Trevor glanced at the table—the meal looked delicious, but he wasn't in the mood to eat anymore.

"Trevor, you should come eat before the meal gets cold," Mia said, her voice laced with care as she noticed how pale his face looked.

"Yeah, is anything wrong?" she asked, standing up to meet him.

"Well, nothing really… I'm just—" Trevor stopped as his mom turned, worry crossing her face.

She had gone through all the stress of preparing the meal just to make things less awkward between them after yesterday's incident.

It had taken a lot of her energy, especially since she couldn't do much work without tiring herself.

"Mom, I'm so grateful, but you shouldn't have—" Trevor started, but she cut him off.

"I'm not complaining, really," she said, looking at him. "I just want us to spend some time together."

"Okay, Mom. I'll be back down soon. I just want to change into something more comfortable," he said calmly.

Once his mother nodded, he headed to his room.

She sat still, not knowing what was really going on with him, quietly waiting as the meal grew cold.

Trevor stepped in, changed his clothes, and sat by his bed with a sigh—the day's activities had drained him heavily.

After a while, he decided to bring out the two books in his bag. He had stolen the books on Dungeons and Ancient Magic from the library during his lunch break.

He sat on his bed calmly and began flipping through them. He decided to start with Ancient Magic—at least he already had slight knowledge of dungeons.

With that, he set the dungeon book aside and began to engross himself in the study of ancient magic.
