Chapter 71 - CHAPTER 70

Pseudo · Don't God (Part One)

Although Orochimaru was weakened after the Shinigami Seal, he was still a Kage-level shinobi. Ordinary genjutsu could never bring him down. Itachi's illusions, empowered by the Mangekyō Sharingan, operated at the level of Tsukuyomi—far beyond conventional genjutsu.

---

Chen Xing vs. Yuxi Hosi

Chen Xing gazed at Yuxi Hosi calmly.

"Your turn. I want to see the true power of your eyes."

Itachi—Yuxi Hosi—stepped forward. His Sharingan tomoe rotated slowly, and for a moment, neither of them moved.

Suddenly, Chen Xing burst forward like lightning. A sharp, piercing chirp echoed—Chidori concentrated in his right hand, bright enough to illuminate the entire clearing. The blade of lightning swept straight for Yuxi Hosi's throat.

Itachi's pupils tightened. Even with his reflexes, Chen Xing's speed—enhanced beyond even Might Guy's Third Gate—left no room to evade. A sharp pain flashed across his neck as the lightning blade sliced through.

Yuxi Hosi collapsed, eyes wide in disbelief.

But Chen Xing did not relax. His stance remained guarded, senses sharp.

The "corpse" dissolved into a swarm of black crows that scattered into the air before gathering again into Yuxi Hosi's unharmed form. His Sharingan spun calmly.

"A combined illusion and body-substitution," Chen Xing thought. "An illusion so seamless it obscures the real body entirely. This isn't inferior to Orochimaru's trickery… No, it's even more dangerous."

He narrowed his eyes. He had already begun to decipher the truth behind Itachi's technique.

---

Itachi Unleashes the Mangekyō

Yuxi Hosi slowly closed his eyes, then opened them again.

The tomoe transformed into a tri-bladed windmill—the Mangekyō Sharingan.

"So it appears at last," Chen Xing muttered.

"Genjutsu—Tsukuyomi."

The moment Itachi spoke, Chen Xing's vision warped. His surroundings dissolved into a blood-red world. He found himself bound to a cross, unable to move.

"So this is the Tsukuyomi," Chen Xing said, observing without panic. "A world where you control space and time. I've been curious to experience it."

Itachi materialized before him, expression cold.

"You understand it well. But understanding and enduring are different matters."

A sword appeared in his hand. He thrust it into Chen Xing.

Pain surged—amplified beyond physical limits.

But Chen Xing only clenched his jaw.

"Oh? It hurts… but I wanted to test the limits of magnified pain myself. Did you really think this would break me, Yuxi Hosi?"

He lifted his head. His eyes had changed.

A scarlet Sharingan with three tomoe stared back at Itachi.

"You… a Sharingan?" Itachi's composure cracked. "Impossible. You're not Uchiha…"

But nothing he did could stop what came next.

Chen Xing's newly awakened Sharingan rotated, breaking Tsukuyomi's bindings instantly. His spiritual presence surged, tracing the faint link between his right eye and the eye hidden inside Itachi's left Mangekyō.

"So that's where you hid it."

---

The Stolen Eye

With a flash, Chen Xing's right eye shifted—its pattern forming a four-cornered windmill.

"Pseudo · Don't God."

Itachi's Mangekyō snapped shut. His body froze for an instant—just long enough.

Chen Xing's strike was decisive.

He tore forward, a purple chakra chain manifesting from his right eye, plunging into Itachi's left. A sealed eye—another Mangekyō—was ripped free, the spiritual world collapsing as Chen Xing retreated.

Itachi staggered backward several meters, reappearing in the real world, blood pouring from his right eye. Black flames of Amaterasu erupted at the location Chen Xing had stood moments earlier, scorching the earth.

Chen Xing had escaped by inches.

A towering aura burst from him—Susanoo's chakra skeleton flickering for a moment—before he launched into the sky and vanished.

---

Aftermath

Far from the mountain range, Chen Xing placed the stolen eye into a prepared vial of saline, breathing slowly.

"That was close… If I'd reacted even a second slower, Amaterasu would've taken me."

Still, the result satisfied him.

His enhanced physique drastically reduced the strain of ocular jutsu. Tsukuyomi, Pseudo · Don't God, Kamui—only Amaterasu seemed to force bleeding.

---

Back at the Valley

Yuxi Hosi wiped the blood from his cheek, his Mangekyō closing as the three-tomoe reappeared. His breathing was heavy—Tsukuyomi's recoil was not light.

The ghost shark—mortar ghost—watched in disbelief.

"You're hurt… Peacock's strength is that high?"

Yuxi Hosi nodded grimly.

"He's far beyond what our intel stated. He possesses a Sharingan… and he took Shisui's other eye. If I hadn't used Amaterasu instantly, he would've killed me."

The ghost shark clenched his fist.

"Why would a brat like him have a Sharingan?"

Yuxi Hosi didn't answer. There was only calm dread in his eyes.

"We report this to Zero immediately. His strength surpasses mine."

He turned away.

"Let's go. We still have to meet the Leader."
