Chapter 80 - Chapter 81: We Are Leaving Tian Shui Academy

Chapter 81: We Are Leaving Tian Shui Academy

Ye Wen and the others had already packed their belongings and returned to the villa.

Ye Wen then arranged a private meeting with Shui Bing'er, intending to tell her that they were going to leave.

At ten years old, Ye Wen's human form had already shed much of his childhood innocence. His features looked more defined, handsome, and had an added touch of youthful masculinity.

Although still showing some signs of youth, he was gradually growing into a handsome young man.

At 10 years old, he had already reached a height of 1.65 meters, and it was highly likely that by the time he was 12, he would reach around 1.75 meters.

He sat alone at a beverage shop, waiting for Shui Bing'er to arrive.

Soon, Shui Bing'er appeared.

At 13 years old, Shui Bing'er had already blossomed into a graceful young woman. People in this world developed much faster.

Her body had already started maturing in all the right places, and Shui Bing'er was nearly fully developed. She had the mature charm of a woman and was incredibly beautiful. Her smile was enchanting and blurry, and she had the elegant aura of an older sister type of beauty. Her personality was mature, composed, and gentle.

In fact, she had fallen for Ye Wen long ago. If she had to trace it back, it probably started when they first met, during that unexpected kiss.

But until now, Shui Bing'er had never confessed her feelings to Ye Wen; she had been in the phase of secretly admiring him.

Today, Ye Wen suddenly asked her out for drinks, and Shui Bing'er was extremely happy. This must be their first "date," right?

So, Shui Bing'er had carefully prepared before leaving the house. She had just washed her hair and had it styled at a salon. She wore her favorite and most beautiful ice crystal-colored dress, paired with light blue ice sand stockings and blue high heels.

She looked especially charming and attracted the attention of countless men along the way.

Excited and full of expectations, she rushed to the beverage shop to meet Ye Wen.

Shortly after, Shui Bing'er arrived, pushed open the door of the beverage shop, and sat down in front of Ye Wen.

Ye Wen looked at Shui Bing'er, who had dressed up so carefully. Shui Bing'er, feeling a little shy under his gaze, brushed her beautiful hair and said with a hint of embarrassment, "Why are you staring at me like that?"

"I'm just thinking you look quite beautiful today," Ye Wen said honestly.

"Just today? Was I not beautiful before?" Shui Bing'er asked.

"No, you've always been beautiful."

"Alright then. So why did you suddenly ask me out for drinks today?" Shui Bing'er looked at Ye Wen with anticipation.

She wondered if today was some special day, or perhaps Ye Wen had finally realized that he liked her and was going to confess his feelings?

Thinking about this, Shui Bing'er's heart raced a little, and she eagerly waited for Ye Wen's answer.

Ye Wen's expression turned serious. After a brief silence, he looked into Shui Bing'er's expectant eyes. Of course, he didn't know what Shui Bing'er was expecting, and after a moment's hesitation, he spoke directly: "Bing'er, we are planning to leave Tian Shui Academy."

"W-What?" Shui Bing'er froze in place, unable to react immediately.

"We... are planning to leave Tian Shui Academy," Ye Wen repeated.

"Why?" Shui Bing'er finally reacted, her excitement from earlier completely evaporating. She had come over so happily, thinking Ye Wen would express his feelings, but instead, she got the answer that they were leaving.

Her heart sank, as if struck by a thunderbolt. The sudden change from sunny to cloudy felt like a heavy weight pressing down on her chest, and she couldn't accept it at once.

She felt a tightness in her chest, unable to breathe. The contrast was so strong that she couldn't even imagine it. She had never expected things to change so suddenly.

In her mind, Shui Bing'er had imagined that Ye Wen would join the advanced class with her, then participate in the Soul Master Tournament, graduate together from Tian Shui Academy, and then set off to explore the continent together.

Everything had seemed so perfect, but it seemed like in an instant, it had all fallen apart.

"Why... why do you have to leave?" Shui Bing'er looked at Ye Wen, her mood heavy and unable to understand.

Seeing Shui Bing'er's expression, Ye Wen sighed inwardly. "For certain reasons, we must leave Tian Shui Academy, but I can't tell you the reason right now. In a few years, perhaps you'll understand."

"Do you really have to go?"

"Yes, we really have to go. I'm sorry, but we won't be able to participate in the Soul Master Tournament with you."

"I understand now. No wonder you've been helping us improve our strength so intensely this past year, spending so much time with us. You've already decided to leave, haven't you?"

Shui Bing'er's voice trembled slightly as she fought to control her emotions.

"Yes," Ye Wen nodded.

The sadness was written all over Shui Bing'er's face, and her eyes even welled up with tears. It was clear that she was very upset.

Ye Wen didn't understand why she was so upset, but for some reason, seeing her so sad made his heart ache. He forced a smile and said, "Don't be like this. We're only leaving Tian Shui Academy, it's not like we'll never meet again. We'll still have plenty of chances to see each other in the future."

"Don't say that. Whether you stay or go is your decision. The academy can't force any student to stay, but can't you at least tell me why? How am I supposed to explain this to the other members, to the teachers, to the dean?"

"I can't tell you right now, but in three years, I will tell you the truth, no matter what the outcome is," Ye Wen said seriously.

He had already decided that after the Soul Master Tournament, whether their soul beast identities were discovered by Spirit Hall or not, he would tell Shui Bing'er the truth—that they were soul beasts in transformed forms.

Then, he took out two Immortal Herbs with water and ice attributes and handed them to Shui Bing'er. "These are rare, top-grade Immortal Herbs. You and Yue'er can each absorb one."

"Their effects can strengthen your foundation, improve your cultivation potential, and they will boost your soul power by several levels."

"Take them."

Shui Bing'er was stunned. In the past, she would have been thrilled to receive such a gift, but now, she could no longer be happy. Compared to the huge benefits the Immortal Herbs would bring her, she seemed to want Ye Wen and the others to stay more than anything else.

"Then, please go and say goodbye to the dean, Teacher Xiuzhen, and the other students."

"Goodbye, Shui Bing'er. But in less than two years, I believe we will meet again soon," Ye Wen said, forcing another smile. He liked the idea of leaving on good terms.

After speaking, he turned and left the beverage shop.

Looking at Ye Wen's departing figure, Shui Bing'er clenched her fists, hesitating over something.

Eventually, she gathered her courage and, in the next second, quickly ran out of the beverage shop.
