Chapter 264 – Divine Realm Decision: Exterminating the Beast Gods of the Mortal World
All of this was because, back then, the God Kings had agreed to the condition set by the awakened Dragon God.
As long as the Dragon God returned and the dragon race revived, beast gods could ascend to godhood. Otherwise, the beast gods would not have been so quickly defeated by the human gods.
But now, the God of Shura's words and tone denied this rule altogether.

"Forgive me, Life, but this time, I cannot stand with you," said the God of Destruction, casting a glance of apology toward the Goddess of Life before declaring, "I agree."
The God of Destruction was arrogant, domineering, and possessed a strong lust for power. He feared no one, always holding himself above any other god—even the God of Shura.
But the sole exception was the Goddess of Life. To her, he was always honest, never deceitful, and held her in the highest regard. In fact, the Goddess of Life was his wife. She was the only one in the Divine Realm who could make him truly listen.
They were husband and wife.
Yet, when it came to the decision about the beast gods, the God of Destruction had to follow his own beliefs. This time, he did not yield to his wife.
Because he, like the God of Thunder, belonged to the group of gods who deeply despised beasts. After the Dragon God's fall, most of the remaining beast gods and divine beasts of the Divine Realm were personally exterminated by the God of Destruction.

"God of Shura, you are the highest enforcer of the Divine Realm. I beg you to allow me to descend and wipe out this scourge—these wicked, sinful creatures!" the Sea God declared righteously.
His words, however, were full of exaggeration and slander, deliberately painting Ye Wen and the others as villains plotting rebellion against the Divine Realm.
In reality, this was not the case at all. The Sea God merely sought a reason to descend personally and kill Ye Wen.
Yet upon hearing more about the beasts of the mortal realm, the God of Shura's desire to kill Ye Wen and his companions only deepened.
But rules were rules. The Divine Realm had its order. Everything had to follow procedure. And besides, even if action was to be taken, it was not the Sea God's place—he was not part of the Divine Enforcement Squad.
The God of Shura said: "I understand your feelings about your heir's death. I have already dispatched a squad of Divine Realm Enforcers to descend. Even if there is to be action, it is not your role."
"They've already been dispatched? What did the Divine Committee decide?" the Sea God asked quickly.
"Full investigation of the soul beasts of the mortal realm. If any beast gods are found—they are to be eradicated." The God of Shura replied bluntly, hiding nothing.

The Sea God's heart leapt with joy. To him, as long as Ye Wen was killed, it didn't matter whether he did it personally or not. Of course, killing Ye Wen himself would have been more satisfying, but it no longer mattered.
"Very well. Since that's the case, I will say no more. God of Shura, I will take my leave."
