Nine Snake Island occupied a unique position in the Grand Line—nestled deep within the Calm Belt, that impossible stretch of ocean where winds died and currents ceased to exist. The Sea Kings that infested these waters formed a natural barrier more effective than any fortress wall. Weaker pirate crews couldn't approach at all, their ships becalmed and vulnerable to the massive predators lurking beneath the surface. Before the advent of Seastone-bottomed vessels, only the strongest individuals could reach this isolated paradise—those capable of swimming through Sea King-infested waters through sheer physical power.
This place was paradise for women. A country composed entirely of female citizens who had built their society without the presence of men. They sustained their kingdom by raiding passing ships in the guise of the Nine Snakes Pirates, ensuring their people's prosperity through calculated piracy.
The captain of the Nine Snakes Pirates also served as this nation's ruler—Empress Boa Hancock, current master of the Amazon Lily Kingdom. As the world's most beautiful woman, her appearance could conquer most men on sight, and even some women found themselves helplessly drawn to her. That legendary beauty now marked her as a target.
This expedition by the Marine served dual purposes: abolish Boa Hancock's title as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and imprison the world's most beautiful woman. There would be no negotiation, no room for compromise. They intended to completely eliminate this destabilizing factor from the political equation.
If Fleet Admiral Artoria Pendragon had dispatched any other Admiral, they would inevitably be affected—to varying degrees—by Boa Hancock's otherworldly beauty. The risk of petrification loomed constantly, an occupational hazard when confronting someone who wielded the Mero Mero no Mi (Love-Love Fruit). Admiral Kennen naturally became the only viable candidate for this particular crusade.
As a special variant of the Mink Tribe, he possessed natural immunity to such charms. Boa Hancock simply didn't conform to his species' aesthetic standards. In the eyes of Minks, hairless human females registered as grotesquely ugly—the complete absence of fur made them fundamentally unappealing. Any Mink who married such a creature would face mockery from their own people for the rest of their life.
"Admiral Kennen, Nine Snake Island will appear in our sight shortly. We've arrived at the expedition's destination."
A Marine Captain reported to his superior with crisp military precision. Kennen's eyes snapped open at his subordinate's voice, the small Admiral pulling himself from meditation. He'd been resting with eyes closed to conserve energy, hoping to capture Boa Hancock in one decisive strike.
Admiral Raizumi Kennen would need to maintain extreme alertness when dealing with a female emperor who wielded all three colors of Haki. Even immune to her beauty-based petrification, Kennen couldn't escape the fate of being turned to stone if he entered close combat range. Her Armament Haki-infused strikes could petrify anything they touched.
In short, this combat mission carried tremendous danger. Kennen couldn't bring other Marine personnel to Nine Snake Island—doing so would only create liabilities. He had to land on the island alone, just as Admiral Kaitora had done with his solo assaults. He would face an entire country's military might with nothing but his own power.
Kennen stretched his compact muscles, taking small steps out of the cabin and onto the deck. His eyes fixed on Nine Snake Island's silhouette dozens of nautical miles distant. No confusion clouded his gaze—only fierce, burning fighting spirit.
"Secret Art: Thunder Armor!"
Lightning wrapped around Admiral Raizumi's small frame, transforming him into a brilliant blue sphere of crackling electrical energy. The Goro Goro no Mi (Rumble-Rumble Fruit) responded to his will, its Logia transformation complete and absolute. He shot toward Boa Hancock's Kingdom of Daughters at maximum velocity, leaving a trail of ionized air in his wake.
At this very moment, Nine Snake Island radiated an atmosphere of celebration and joy. Women from distant islands had traveled here to visit, engaging in friendly and warm exchanges with the local female citizens. The usual wariness that characterized the isolated nation had given way to genuine hospitality.
As for the upper echelon, Boa Hancock herself was entertaining distinguished guests. The palace where she resided had been decorated with countless varieties of flowers—roses, orchids, lilies, and exotic blooms whose names only the most educated botanists would recognize. The Empress demonstrated two hundred percent sincerity toward her female friends from the outer islands.
The welcome banquet had lasted ten full days without pause. The Empress's enthusiasm for her honored guests remained undiminished, burning as brightly now as on the first evening. At this moment, she was enjoying afternoon tea with her closest companion, surrounded by fragrant blossoms and warm sunlight filtering through silk curtains.
Two beautiful women sat amidst the sea of flowers, chatting with each other and exchanging stories about their respective countries. They laughed frequently, genuine mirth lighting their faces as they discovered both similarities and fascinating differences. The two daughter countries shared so much common ground, yet diverged in countless delightful details.
"Diana, I absolutely must visit Paradise Island next time," the first woman said, her voice carrying the musical quality of someone accustomed to being obeyed. "I find myself loving your country more and more with every story you tell."
The speaker possessed the most perfect body proportions—a figure that sculptors would weep to capture in marble. A pair of exceptionally full breasts strained against purple silk, the generous curves impossible to ignore yet somehow tasteful rather than vulgar. Her long black hair fell like a cascading waterfall down her back, combed into an exquisite hairstyle that enhanced her already noble bearing.
The woman's eyes were deep and charming—like gazing into the profound blue of the open ocean, inviting and dangerous in equal measure. Her nose sat high and delicate on her face, perfectly proportioned. Her lips appeared soft and smooth, without a single wrinkle marring their perfection.
Snake-shaped gold earrings hung below her earlobes, swaying gently with every movement and catching the afternoon light. She wore a purple cheongsam, its unique cut and design perfectly outlining her magnificent figure while maintaining an air of imperial dignity.

"Hancock, Paradise Island will always open its doors to you," her companion replied warmly. "You'll always be my best friend—there's no one else quite like you in either of our worlds."
If Boa Hancock represented the pinnacle of Eastern female beauty, then the woman seated opposite her embodied Western aesthetics at their finest. The two could compete as equals in terms of sheer physical magnificence, though their appeal manifested through entirely different cultural lenses.
Like Boa Hancock, Diana possessed impossibly long legs that seemed to go on forever. Her facial features carried a classical quality—somewhat reminiscent of the idealized female figures carved by ancient sculptors, all perfect angles and divine proportions.
She wore a form-fitting suit of women's armor that covered all the important areas while leaving her arms and legs free for movement. The armor itself appeared both functional and beautiful, crafted with obvious care. Her chest, however, presented a stark contrast to the Empress—where Hancock's curves were generous to the point of being legendary, Diana's figure tended toward the athletic and lean. Two opposite extremes, both beautiful in their own right.
Character Note: Wonder Woman - Diana
These two women—one representing Eastern aesthetics, the other Western—sitting together created a sight that could only be described as pleasing to the eye. If any man could somehow claim both of these extraordinary women simultaneously and enjoy such tremendous fortune, he must have saved entire galaxies in his previous life.
The Empress had met Diana thanks to her participation in the Battle of Marineford. Though she hadn't contributed significantly to that chaotic war, Boa Hancock had suffered minor injuries before departing the battlefield. In the aftermath, she'd hijacked a passing vessel and drifted across the sea, rudderless and without clear destination.
During that aimless voyage, she'd happened to encounter Wonder Woman, who was embarking on her first sea adventure beyond Paradise Island's protective storms. After the two powerful women became acquainted, they'd begun adventuring together across the Grand Line.
During that precious time, the Empress had set aside her considerable pride and begun to genuinely enjoy life at sea with her newfound friend. Those days remained forever etched in Boa Hancock's memory as a rare period of uncomplicated happiness—no political maneuvering, no World Government obligations, just two women exploring the world together.
The two hadn't deliberately concealed their identities from each other. Both had openly stated they came from countries composed entirely of women. Neither had expected such an incredible coincidence to exist in the world.
Boa Hancock and Diana had grown up in remarkably similar environments. Both had been raised among exclusively female populations, receiving comparable education since childhood. Both had aspired from young ages to become independent women capable of protecting their countries and standing tall against any threat.
The island where Diana originated was called Paradise Island, home to a female nation also named Amazon—a curious echo of Nine Snake Island's own history. The island's outer perimeter was perpetually shrouded by massive storm systems, violent weather that prevented pirate ships and even submarines from penetrating. This natural barrier had kept Paradise Island hidden from the outside world for countless generations.
Due to severe magnetic field disruptions within the storm zones, only people born on the island could navigate safely by following special environmental cues passed down through generations. This unique characteristic explained why Paradise Island had remained concealed for so long, unknown even to the world's most extensive information networks.
Considering the several remarkable characteristics shared between their homelands, Paradise Island and Nine Snake Island seemed almost like natural sister nations—separated by vast oceans yet connected by fundamental similarities. The two daughter countries conducting state visits and diplomatic exchanges felt like the most natural progression imaginable.
This time, Diana had brought her people to visit Nine Snake Island, enjoying the Empress's hospitality. Next time, Boa Hancock would lead her own delegation to Paradise Island to experience their welcome banquet. The friendship between individuals had blossomed into diplomatic ties between nations.
A friendship between equals. A bond between two of the world's strongest women.
Neither woman yet realized that this peaceful afternoon tea would be their last moment of tranquility for a very long time.
