Chapter 112 - Chapter 112: Annihilating the Mo Clan

Chapter 112: Annihilating the Mo Clan

"With just the strength of a five-star Dou Shi, you dare to spout nonsense in front of me?"

Hai Bodong chuckled coldly. If he hadn't been trying to conceal his true strength, he would've already frozen this arrogant fool into a block of ice.

"A mere Dou Ling dares to trespass into my Mo Clan? In that case, why don't you stay here forever!"

A feral glint flashed in Mo Cheng's eyes as he stomped the ground and shot toward Hai Bodong like a beast unleashed.

"Hmph."

Hai Bodong sneered, and cold air swirled violently around him as he met the charge.

Meanwhile, with the aid of his Ice Illusory Body, Xiao Yuan vanished from the battlefield without a trace, heading straight for the secret chamber he had previously located.

"Pretty well hidden."

Standing beside a fake mountain, Xiao Yuan stroked his chin, noting with interest how seamless it appeared. From the outside, there was no flaw. But with his soul force, he detected an irregular passage perfectly disguised beneath it—something only detectable with a god's-eye view like his Listening to the Whispering Wind technique.

He pressed down on a seemingly unremarkable bump on the rock and gave it a twist.

A faint mechanical sound followed. A narrow passage just wide enough for one person opened at the base of the rock. The stone steps descended in a spiral, lit by embedded moonstones.

After confirming there were no traps, Xiao Yuan stepped inside without hesitation.

Though narrow, the passage wasn't long or steep compared to those in the Magic Beast Mountain Range.

Roughly five meters down, he reached a circular hall with seven branching passages. A faint stench of blood and decay hung in the air.

Frowning, Xiao Yuan assessed the guards and stewards inside. Most were five-star Dou Zhes or above, with a few Dou Shis as well.

Thankfully, there were no Da Dou Shis present.

Taking a deep breath, he clenched his fists—and two of his Qi Paths flared simultaneously. In a flash, he appeared in the center of the hall. Before anyone could react, he began spinning rapidly like a top.

Whirlwind Fang—dozens of cone-shaped, azure wind drills burst out, each laced with wisping black-and-white flames. They struck with precision, piercing every throat cleanly.

Mid Xuan-rank Dou Technique: Thousand Wind Fang!

In the next instant, the black-and-white flames devoured the corpses, leaving only ashes.

Whew!

Xiao Yuan exhaled. This kind of output was only possible now that he had reached the Da Dou Shi level.

Not to mention, it demanded a powerful soul to merge Heavenly Flame with wind-element Dou Qi in an instant.

Fortunately, it worked beautifully. He'd cleared out the hall in mere seconds.

Now, to find Qinglian.

He formed seals again—Listening to the Whispering Wind—and locked onto the passage with the densest yin energy.

With a gentle breeze, his form faded into the darkness.

At the end of that passage was a massive black iron door. Even a Da Dou Shi couldn't force it open.

But with his Heavenly Flame, Xiao Yuan could melt through it effortlessly.

Raising one arm, he summoned the Yin-Yang Flame. The searing heat made the metal bubble and drip.

Still too slow.

He injected a surge of wood-element Dou Qi to amplify the fire's heat, unrestrained and crude.

The result: the entire door collapsed into a pool of molten iron.

Xiao Yuan's gaze sharpened, and he dashed forward, leaping into the room like an eagle. His knee crashed into the chest of a startled guard, crushing his ribcage and launching him across the chamber in a spray of blood.

"Who's there?!"

Another man shouted, stunned that someone could dispatch a Dou Shi so quickly and silently.

Realizing the threat, he tried to retreat and raise an alarm.

But a ghostly blue figure appeared before him, and a slender hand clamped down on his throat before he could scream.

Crack!

A twist—then the black-and-white flame flared and consumed him.

Just then, a powerful aura surged behind Xiao Yuan.

A nine-star Dou Shi!

Twisting midair, Xiao Yuan spun and condensed a swirling blue fist laced with his Heavenly Flame.

Low Xuan-rank Dou Technique: Green Wind Spiral Fist!

Boom!

He unleashed a full-body strike: power from his feet to his spine to his fist—driving wind and flame through the enemy's Dou Qi barrier, pulverizing their heart.

Thud!

The corpse collapsed.

In seconds, only Xiao Yuan remained standing.

"You… who are…"

The first guard he had struck finally began to recover, weakly raising his head in horror.

"Die."

Xiao Yuan gave no reply. A flick of a wind-laced finger pierced the man's heart. Then he rushed to the corner.

There, a delicate girl lay shackled to a bed, blindfolded. Her exposed arms showed faint greenish scales.

He approached swiftly and cut the shackles with a precise wind blade—without harming her.

Red marks were left behind where the restraints had bitten into her soft skin.

Frowning, Xiao Yuan lifted her into his arms and removed the blindfold. Upon seeing her frightened, familiar eyes, he finally relaxed.

"You're safe now."

Hearing his voice, Qinglian blinked. Her confusion faded as she caught his scent and looked up. Upon seeing his handsome, familiar face, her eyes lit up.

"Young master?"

He nodded.

"Can you still fight?"

She lowered her gaze in shame. "I'm sorry, young master. I'm too weak. Fire Spirit Snake is also badly hurt—he can't fight anymore."

"It's alright. With me here, no one will touch you."

Xiao Yuan smiled gently and carried her out.

As he walked, he formed hand seals again—this time activating five Qi Paths at once.

After surviving Queen Medusa's forced energy infusion, his body could now handle incredible bursts.

With each step forward, his aura grew stronger.

By the time he emerged into the underground hall, his pressure rivaled that of a low-tier Dou Ling.

The others in the complex noticed immediately.

"Who are you, barging into our Mo Clan's restricted area?!"

A middle-aged man roared.

"You don't need to know who I am. You kidnapped my maid. I came to settle things. I heard you like body modification experiments? Good—soon, I'll shove each of your heads where the sun doesn't shine!"

Xiao Yuan sneered as his Dou Qi surged.

The air warped—massive wind blades appeared, forming a spinning vortex.

Tearing Wind Dance!

In the cramped underground space, there was no room to dodge.

Some clever ones tried to brace themselves, thinking such a large attack would be weaker.

But they didn't notice the black-and-white flames spreading across the floor, fanned by the winds into a blazing tide.

By the time they noticed, fire coiled around their legs and raced upward.

Panicked, they bolted for the stairs—only to run into the vortex of wind blades.

Screams filled the air. The stench of burning flesh rose.

A few nearly escaped—

But Xiao Yuan's voice rang out like a demon from hell:

"Four-Wind Barrier!"

Invisible walls of wind sealed every exit.

The underground hall became a fiery hell. The Yin-Yang Flame twisted the air.

Eventually, the screams faded.

Only two figures remained: Xiao Yuan and Qinglian.

She was untouched, protected by the chill of her Three-Flowered Pupils and innate yin energy.

Xiao Yuan cautiously used Listening to the Whispering Wind once more to scan the area. Confirming there were no survivors, he turned to leave with Qinglian.

As for the other chambers, he didn't need to enter.

The information his soul perception had gathered was enough to make his stomach churn.

Many of the "subjects" were alive—organs removed while they still breathed.

Even with all his experience fighting beasts and men, this was the first time Xiao Yuan had witnessed cruelty of this level.

That's why he had shown no mercy.

Not just for Qinglian—but because the Mo Clan's actions were a stain on humanity itself.

As he carried her out of the tunnel, he was immediately drawn to a powerful aura above ground.

A foreign Dou Huang presence?

Xiao Yuan narrowed his eyes.
