"Ten billion." Seth Kenshin shook his head slightly.
If it had been a few years earlier, he might have had some savings left.
But in recent years, he had spent everything seeking doctors to cure Sabrina.
On top of that, compensating the Trainers he rescued left him penniless.
He'd even gone to work on construction sites—his telekinesis allowed him to do the work of ten men.
"Hey, hey, Natsume, that's going too far." Misty looked at him.
"Right, Natsume, how much does one of those things cost? Could you sell me one for cheaper?" Ash felt sorry for the man.
He didn't blame Natsume—he just wanted to buy one himself and give it to the old man.
He was sure Natsume wouldn't overcharge him.
"Hmm, production cost is about five hundred thousand." Natsume said casually, not treating Seth Kenshin like an outsider.
"…"
He really could sell anything.
"Natsume, then I'll buy one and—" Before Ash could finish, Natsume handed the spotlight straight to Seth Kenshin.
"It's yours. But I want the telekinesis training method—complete with personal insights."
Seth froze for a moment, then accepted the flashlight.
After a pause, he pulled a thick notebook from his coat.
"This contains the telekinesis training method, along with my own notes. I hope it helps you control yourself."
With those words, Seth picked up the powerful spotlight, then vanished with Teleport.
"Whoa! A human can use Teleport just like a Pokémon!" Misty was stunned, her view of telekinesis deepening.
"But to reach the level of Mr. Seth or Sabrina… there can't be many in the world." Brock said sincerely.
"Wait, Natsume—you already had access to telekinesis training, didn't you? Why ask him for it again?" Giselle asked curiously.
"I came to Saffron a long time ago. The training methods sold publicly here are all watered down." Natsume explained.
He figured Seth didn't want another Sabrina appearing.
Telekinesis training could be roughly divided into three parts—Outer Realm, Inner Realm, and Core Realm.
The Outer Realm was the most obvious—applications like moving objects. That's the common version.
The Inner Realm involved invisible applications, like inducing illusions or communicating with Pokémon telepathically.
The Core Realm meant creating a world of one's own mind. But if someone wasn't mentally mature, entering too early risked being trapped in it, unable to escape.
Sabrina had stumbled in the Core Realm—that was her problem.
Natsume flipped through the notebook, confirming it was a complete training guide, then finally began reading carefully from the beginning.
He had just finished the Outer Realm's beginner section when a commotion erupted at Saffron Gym's doors.
*Bang!* The doors swung open, and Seth Kenshin was thrown out.
Along with him flew countless shattered pieces of flashlights.
"Mr. Seth, are you okay?" Ash and Brock rushed forward, poking him with a stick.
"Why? Why won't Sabrina react?!" Seth suddenly sat up stiffly, crying toward the sky.
"Old man, not reacting is normal. When it comes to making people angry, Natsume is in a league of his own." Misty shook her head.
Her words snapped Seth back to his senses. He scrambled to Natsume, dropped to his knees with a heavy thud.
"Mr. Natsume, please—I beg you—make Sabrina angry!"
???
An old father kneeling in the street, begging a passerby to upset his daughter.
Even the tabloids couldn't make this up.
"It's like this," Seth hurried to explain, seeing Natsume's confusion:
"Sabrina's condition is unusual. I don't know what kind of Core Realm she's stepped into."
"The only way to gauge it is through her emotional reactions. Only then can I find a way to guide her back out!"
"So I beg you!" Seth bowed deeply.
"You mean I'm supposed to be her trigger point? I don't think so." Natsume shook his head.
Sabrina's anger had begun when he snatched away her doll.
But from the original storyline, her emotional trigger should've been Pokémon.
Still, maybe it didn't conflict—the doll had a strange aura, almost like a Pokémon.
Natsume thought it over, deciding to try resolving things the same way as in the original events.
"Head east from here, there's a Pokémon Tower. Inside, you'll find a Haunter—go and catch it." Natsume pointed Seth Kenshin toward a solution.
"Ghost-type Pokémon…" Seth frowned.
Years ago, he had already tried the method of using Pokémon to heal, hoping to pull Sabrina out of the Core Realm.
Eevee, Pikachu, Growlithe—he had given her all kinds of cute Pokémon, but none had worked.
Ghost-types, however, he had never tried.
"But Ghost Pokémon… how could they possibly be connected to Sabrina's Core Realm?"
His voice was heavy with doubt.
In his view, Sabrina had entered the Core Realm for two reasons: first, her extraordinary talent had let her reach that realm at an early age; second, her lonely childhood with little companionship.
Her Core Realm should have been filled with cute, comforting Pokémon companions. How could a frightening Ghost Pokémon become her emotional trigger?
No matter how he thought about it, it didn't make sense.
"Think of it as a last resort. You've failed so many times already—one more won't hurt."
Natsume patted Seth on the shoulder.
He wasn't joking—this was the most likely method to succeed.
After all, Ash and his friends had already proven it in the original events.
And with an S-rank mission hanging over him, Natsume wanted Sabrina to recover quickly—maybe then the task would resolve itself.
"Besides, wasn't becoming a Gym Leader Sabrina's own choice?"
Natsume coaxed gently. Seth blinked, then slowly nodded.
"That proves Psychic-type Pokémon mean a lot to her. And since Ghost-types are natural rivals to Psychics, it's reasonable they could be connected."
Seth nodded again, dazed.
True enough. Aside from the doll, Sabrina also had a Kadabra she'd raised since childhood—no, by now it was already an Alakazam.
"Mr. Seth, don't overthink it. If you want to try, then try!" Ash encouraged him from behind.
"Ash, go with him." Natsume patted Ash's head.
"Sure thing!" Ash agreed instantly.
"I'm going too!" Misty raised her hand.
"It's a two-day round trip—I'll handle the cooking!" Brock lifted a frying pan.
"You kids…" Seth paused, then broke into a smile.
"Natsume, when do we set out?" Ash asked excitedly.
"Me? I'm not going." Natsume waved his hand, saying he would stay at the Pokémon Center.
Behind him, Giselle, who had been quietly packing her things, froze in place.
