It began with reflections.
At first, they were small things — the kind you could dismiss if you weren't paying attention.
A shimmer on the window glass that didn't move when Seo Jin did. A faint silhouette in the screen of his turned-off phone. A glimpse of gold and violet eyes in the reflection of the tea kettle that vanished when he blinked.
He told himself it was just exhaustion.
He'd survived a possession, a neural merge, and an entire Core stabilization — hallucinations weren't impossible.
But the first time Li Ran saw it too, he knew something was truly wrong.

"Jin," Li Ran said quietly, eyes locked on the mirror above the sink. "Don't move."
Seo Jin froze halfway through brushing his teeth. "What?"
Li Ran's voice was a low growl. "Your reflection's still moving."
The air seemed to thicken. Seo Jin turned his gaze slowly toward the glass — and his breath caught.
His reflection smiled.
He hadn't.
