Chapter 86 - Ch. 86

The Waverider departed from Ritou, drifted at sea for several days, and finally docked at Tatarasuna.

As soon as she disembarked from the Waverider, Yunling felt her stomach churning.

"Yunling, are you alright?"

Paimon's small hand gently patted Yunling's back.

Yunling felt like throwing up, but nothing came out.

"It's fine, let's just take a moment to recover. We'll leave in a bit."

She hadn't expected this clone to get seasick. While it was possible the small Waverider was too shaky, Lumine and Paimon seemed perfectly fine, so it must have been her own issue, right?

After resting for a while on the beach of Tatarasuna, Lumine, who had a fishing hook with her, made a fishing rod from local materials and went fishing with Paimon.

Once Yunling recovered, she gathered some branches and started a fire.

Then she took out some bottles and jars from her Vision space, roasting by the fire while waiting for Lumine's catch.

The food they had brought was already eaten during their time on the Waverider, leaving only some seasonings.

These seasonings were brought by Yunling a few days ago, specifically for special moments like this.

Soon, Lumine returned with several fish. Yunling helped process them, and then the three of them sat together to roast the fish.

Free from the discomfort of seasickness, Yunling seemed very excited.

All things considered, this was her first time traveling so far from home!

If she had dared to run off this far before, her second sister would surely have lectured her upon her return.

Uh... Yunling suddenly realized a problem: wouldn't her second sister still beat her up if she went back now?

Never mind, she wasn't going back yet anyway.

The three of them enjoyed a delicious meal of roasted fish, then set off together for Nazuchi Beach.

After several more days, they finally arrived at Nazuchi Beach.

Mainly, they weren't in a great hurry, resting when they were tired on the road and sleeping when they were sleepy.

With Yunling, the little chef, along, the journey didn't feel like an escape but more like a leisurely trip.

Nazuchi Beach was very wide and quite empty; there were no signs of Shogunate troops or the resistance.

"Could it be that we arrived too late, and they've already left?"

Yunling shielded her eyes from the sun with her hand and climbed onto a relatively tall stone:

"Lumine, it looks like there are people over there. Two Shogunate soldiers are surrounding one person. Judging by their attire, it's very likely the resistance member we're looking for!"

Paimon came to Yunling's vantage point and also saw the person.

"Lumine, let's go help him!"

They quickly ran over, not intending to kill, but merely driving away the two Shogunate soldiers.

The rescued person was wearing a red and white military uniform and appeared to be in his early twenties.

"Phew— I'm saved. I thought I was going to die."

"Thank you so much for your help. I'm Teppei of the Gobious Platoon. I'm with the resistance."

"I was just recently transferred to the front lines and hoped to earn some merits, but I didn't expect such an unfortunate start. You must be laughing at me."

"You don't look like resistance members in your attire. Are you here to join the resistance?"

Since they had just helped him drive away the Shogunate soldiers, Teppei already considered them to be on his side.

Lumine: "Yes."

"That's great! I heard General Gorou complaining recently about a shortage of manpower. This will be a huge help."

Led by Teppei, Lumine and the other two followed him to the resistance's main camp.

Along the way, Teppei introduced them to the current situation of the resistance.

In general, the resistance's situation was not optimistic, and they desperately needed capable people like them to join.

When discussing the issue of strength, Teppei regretfully said:

"If only I also had a Vision, I could help Her Excellency and General Gorou with their troubles and achieve great deeds on the battlefield..."

Yunling looked at Teppei's eager expression and silently sighed in her heart.

She actually had a good impression of Teppei and deeply regretted his choice.

To gain something, one must lose something.

In Yunling's view, so-called great deeds were completely incomparable to one's own life.

But this was Teppei's choice.

Chatting along the way, they quickly arrived at the resistance camp and met the General, Gorou.

Gorou first spoke about the resistance's goals, duties, and the requirements and standards for joining the army, then asked for their reasons for enlisting.

Lumine got straight to the point and told Gorou about the hundredth Vision.

Gorou: "Although this happened in Inazuma City, we have also heard about it here."

"I heard there were some unexpected changes during the process. Strange, even the Raiden Shogun herself appeared."

Lumine put her hands on her hips, slightly raising her small face: "I did it!"

Paimon chimed in from the side: "We not only fought the Raiden Shogun but also rescued the holder of that hundredth Vision."

Paimon then pointed at Yunling: "This one also fought the Raiden Shogun. Her name is Yunling, and she's incredibly powerful, and her cooking is super delicious!"

After some discussion, Lumine and Yunling were arranged to first tour...

When Yunling joined the resistance, a few days ago, Inazuma City.

After the Vision Hunt Ceremony for the hundredth Vision was interrupted by an incident, wanted posters hastily produced by the Shogunate army spread throughout the streets and alleys.

They were posted in many places across Inazuma City.

In front of a wanted poster on a wall, Kuki Shinobu looked at the people on the poster and the deeds written about them, her brows deeply furrowed.

Taking advantage of no one being around, Kuki Shinobu tore down the wanted poster and then quickly returned to her and Yunling's residence.

As soon as she returned, Kuki Shinobu saw Itto and the other members of the Arataki Gang, all with anxious faces.

Upon seeing Kuki Shinobu, everyone seemed to find their pillar of strength.

Itto immediately stepped forward: "Shinobu, Little Yun has been wanted. What should we do?"

Kuki Shinobu: "Don't panic. Little Yun should be with the Traveler now. As for Thoma, he should have hidden back in the Yashiro Commission."

"Boss, you stay here with Aki and the others and wait. I'll go look for her."

Itto asked: "Should I go with you?"

Kuki Shinobu: "No need. I can go alone."

Itto nodded. At this moment, he had shed his usual carefree attitude and actually looked like a boss.

"Everyone, may I have a word first?"

Kuki Shinobu looked over and saw that the newcomer was Ayaka. Without much politeness, she directly asked: "Where is Little Yun now?"

She knew why her sister had acted, and she knew it was all her sister's choice, but to say that the Yashiro Commission had not played a role in fanning the flames, she didn't believe it.

Kuki Shinobu saw things very clearly; including the Traveler, everyone had actually been manipulated from the start.

This matter involved her sister and a confrontation with the Shogun; she was very aware of how dangerous it was.

Ayaka said apologetically:

"I'm sorry, we implicated Little Yun. I came here because Little Yun asked me to pass on a message."

Ayaka didn't necessarily have to come herself, but Little Yun was completely dragged into this because of Thoma. If she didn't come in person, she wouldn't feel at ease.

"Little Yun said she's going to the resistance with the Traveler, and she doesn't want to implicate you and the Boss, so she told you not to worry..."

Ayaka relayed what Thoma had told her to Kuki Shinobu and the members of the Arataki Gang.

Kuki Shinobu finished listening and let out a heavy sigh.

That girl!

Why try to be so clever?

If she had just come back directly, she would have found a way to protect her. Why run off to the resistance?!

Next time she sees her, she'll definitely pull her ears hard!
