Chapter 191: You... are an Angel

After backing away a few steps to maintain a safe distance, Shibuki swallowed hard. His body was slightly tense as he looked at Yuto and Konan with a nervous expression.

"What on earth do you two want? My mission is complete, the payment was made in advance. You can leave now."

Konan glanced indifferently at Shibuki, her gaze sweeping across the surroundings before she spoke in a cold tone.

"We didn't come here just to escort you."

As Konan's voice fell, Shibuki's expression turned ugly. He stammered, "You... you Kirigakure ninja broke your promise!"

Hearing Shibuki's words, Yuto couldn't help but find it amusing. "Kirigakure never made any promises with you. We've already completed our part regarding your mission. Now, we're here to attend to our own business."

Shibuki backed away a few more steps, biting his lip. A rare, determined expression appeared on his face. "You're here for that thing, just as I thought. I won't let you get near Takigakure!"

That thing?

Yuto and Konan exchanged a glance, both showing a hint of surprise. From the sound of Shibuki's words, it seemed Takigakure was hiding a secret they didn't know about. As for Shibuki's attitude, prepared to fight to the death, neither Yuto nor Konan paid it any mind, simply ignoring it.

Just as Shibuki was on high alert.

Suddenly, whistling sounds came from behind.

Dozens of kunai, coming from different directions, enveloped the three of them.

Seeing this, the determined look on Shibuki's face instantly vanished. He covered his head and scrambled towards a large tree nearby.

Shibuki hid behind a nearby tree, panting heavily, his face filled with a look of fear.

Meanwhile, Yuto and Konan, who were standing at the center of the attack zone, remained completely calm.

Konan gently raised a hand, and dozens of sheets of paper flew from her person. She formed a hand seal, and the papers quickly transformed into kunai, colliding with the incoming projectiles and knocking them all to the ground.

As for Yuto, standing next to Konan, his attention had never been on the attacks in the first place.

When Yuto's gaze fell on Shibuki, hiding behind a tree and panting heavily, a hint of amusement flashed in his eyes.

Yuto extended a finger and gently tapped the Three-Tails, Isobu, on his shoulder.

Feeling Yuto's gaze, Isobu's body trembled slightly. A miniaturized version of the Three-Tails detached from its body.

The moment this mini-Isobu appeared, it quickly scurried in Shibuki's direction.

Calling it a mini-Isobu was a bit of a stretch; it was merely a small clump of Isobu's chakra.

Whether for combat or support, this ability was quite useless. However, it was perfect for dealing with Shibuki.

Meanwhile, as Konan neutralized all the attacks, several ninja hidden in the surroundings stepped out into the open.

These ninja had cold expressions on their faces as they looked at Yuto and the others.

"So this is the leader of Takigakure. I never expected it to be a brat, and a cowardly one at that."

Kirisame had a cold smirk on her face as she looked at Shibuki, who was hiding behind the tree, and mocked him.

After speaking, her gaze shifted to Yuto and Konan. The moment she saw the Kirigakure forehead protector on Yuto, her brow couldn't help but furrow.

A Kirigakure ninja!

"You two must be the escorts for this brat. I assume your mission is complete now that you've delivered him here?"

Kirisame crouched slightly, getting ready to attack at any moment, but had a smile on her face as she spoke to Yuto.

After finishing, her gaze swept over Konan. For some reason, Konan gave her an extremely familiar feeling. But Kirisame knew she didn't recognize any ninja from the Five Great Shinobi Villages, let alone Kirigakure.

"As for that mission, it is indeed complete," Yuto said with a faint, casual smile.

Hearing Yuto's words, the sense of tension Kirisame had been feeling instantly vanished, and her smile grew even wider.

Kirisame looked at Yuto and the others with a smile and said, "Since your mission is complete, I won't keep you any longer. I assume the rest of this has nothing to do with Kirigakure."

After speaking, Kirisame's face once again turned cold as she walked towards Shibuki.

Seeing this, Shibuki fumbled a kunai from his pocket, his face full of tension as he looked at the approaching Kirisame.

Just then, a cold voice suddenly rang in everyone's ears.

"The mission may be complete, but our business is not done yet."

Konan's face was calm, though a cold glint flashed in her eyes.

"What do you mean by that, ma'am?" Kirisame's body spun towards Konan's direction as she quickly crouched.

"It's been a while, Kirisame! I don't see Hisame here, I take it?"

Konan glanced around, noticing Hisame was not present, before her gaze fell back on Kirisame and she said with a cold laugh.

Hearing Konan call out her name, Kirisame froze for a moment. Then, the hazy impression in her mind suddenly became clear.

He finally remembered who this woman was. It wasn't that his memory was poor; it was that the Konan before him now was completely different from the Konan of Amegakure.

"You... you're... an Angel of Mercy!" Kirisame looked at Konan, his body suddenly trembling as he stammered.

The next moment, Kirisame turned and ran in the opposite direction as fast as he could. As he ran, he shouted, "Flee!!!"

Along with Kirisame's scream, the other ninja snapped out of it and quickly fled in the opposite direction.

"As a rogue ninja from Amegakure, you've already escaped once. You will absolutely not get a second chance. Since you're here, you will all stay."

Konan watched as Kirisame and the others fled in the opposite direction and spoke in a frigid tone.

Paper Flower Dance!

Rustle! Rustle!

A pair of wings, completely composed of white paper, suddenly burst from Konan's back.

Konan lifted into the air, her wings flapping powerfully towards the direction of the fleeing ninja.

In the next instant, a fierce gale erupted from Konan's body.

At the same time, a torrent of white paper swarmed out, forming a white curtain that enveloped the area before them.

The speed of the paper was incredibly fast; in the blink of an eye, it had appeared before Kirisame and the others, completely cutting off their escape route.

A sky full of white paper formed a massive, white square array, trapping Kirisame and the others inside, unable to flee.
