Chapter 2: Status
Eight months had passed since the old man took him home.
Now his whole body was healed. The old man was surprised to see his wounds recover that fast.
"I will ask him when he regains consciousness," he said, leaving Ank on the bed.
He regularly checked Ank's condition and tried his best to help him, but he was shocked by how fast Ank was recovering.
He had seen many beings that healed fast, but Ank's healing was terrifying among all.
And after the old man left Ank, he slowly opened his eyes. Regret was the first emotion that struck him. Slowly, he stood and scanned his surroundings.
The room was neither large nor small, just a modest space with a single bed fit for one person. The ceiling was plain, the walls were normal, and the room was not very decorated.
The first thing he remembered was the emotion of regret.
Not about his condition.
Not about the surroundings.
Not about the fact that he was alive.
Only regret.
Regret for betraying his friends, the ones who believed in him.
"Sorry," he murmured to himself.
Tears started falling from his eyes, and this was the second time the First Emperor of the Universe cried.
"I must not lose myself to the greed of power again," he thought, quickly understanding his condition.
The past was gone. I have to change.
I have to move on, he murmured to himself.
He knew that he was saved by someone, so he had to live.
A memory came to him of his friends fighting him before they were sealed like him. Their cold words struck his heart. All of them said they would kill Ank after they were unsealed.
After regretting for some time, he decided to stop crying. Slowly, he wiped his tears and summoned his Status Window to check how weak he had become. He knew he had become weak, but he wanted to know how much.
Ank was smart. He immediately understood that he was now saved somehow from death.

Ank's eyes did not believe what he saw on his status. This was the first time he saw something this strange.
"What is with my status? What is Noob? How am I supposed to live like this?" His voice cracked with both anger and despair. "Why do I have to complete quests just to unlock my power?"
He knew his power would be sealed after the battle he fought before sealing in the meteor.
He knew the consequences and the price of the battle where he fought with his life on the line.
And now he survived that battle, but he did not know about rank, secondary status, and quests.
I have to complete quests to regain my power. Why do I have to do this? This was the first thing he thought after seeing his status.
And the quest will unlock in one month, so I can only do it after one month.
He clenched his fists.
When he read which gods were going to give him quests:
"Why? Why are the Gods of Creation and Protection doing this to me? That I can't understand. The God of Destruction is fine. That one makes sense. But you two, why?"
"I understand the God of Destruction hates me.
But why are you both doing this as well?"
I know all of you were watching me at that moment.
He walked away from the bed and tried to summon both gods. He had the power to summon them, and they would come.
But he failed.
The system screen popped up:

It was like a spam message surrounding him, and his head started hurting.
"Fine. I won't try to summon them."
He lowered his head, eyes dark.
"But what is this system?
I don't understand anything."
The last thing he remembered was waiting for his death. Ank was on the brink of death before someone sealed him to save his life.
And now he noticed that he was somewhere, not in empty space.
Where am I? I remember fighting with my friends and afterward waiting for death.
He quickly tried to summon his armor.
A new message popped up.
You cannot summon.
You cannot summon.
You cannot summon.
"What the heck is this? Why can't I summon my armor?"
When he tried to summon a weapon, the same message appeared again.
You cannot summon.

When Ank politely asked why he could not summon his armor and weapons, the system replied in a cold tone:
The owner's level is very low. All of your weapons are not available because you first have to complete the quests. As rewards, you will receive your weapons and armor.
Why do I have to complete quests for my items? My armors, my weapons, all are mine.
And why is this system attached to my status?
I want to know, system. Who attached you to me?
The system replied in its usual cold tone:
This information is confidential. You have no access to this information until the system creator wants to reveal it.
After hearing this, Ank became furious.
I swear I will kill the system creator.
Wait until I find you and kill you.
Far, far from Duskwild,
Somewhere in the universe,
A person standing in an empty space started laughing.
"Ha ha ha ha."
The person was made of dark energy. From top to bottom only darkness could be seen.
"You want to kill me? Ha ha ha ha.
I am waiting for you to come and kill me. Ha ha ha."

Hello Everyone
This is my second chapter, so there might be a few mistakes here and there, but I'm learning and improving with every update. Before making any opinion, first read 10 chapters. If you don't like it, I will try to improve.
Spoiler Alert
In the first hundreds chapters ,Story will entirely follow how Ank would complete Quests and then his power regaining arc would began.
And I am also trying to remove all grammar mistakes and pacing mistakes. If there are any other mistakes, feel free to point them out. I will try my best to solve them.
