Chapter 73: War of Survival
Now Prince Marek was in front of his first opponent, the Stone Plant Commander.
The third and strongest Stone Plant Commander heard Marek's motivational speech and could not stop himself from fighting Marek. His body was covered in blue flames mixed with green energy radiating from the center of his chest.
He was holding a sword that was also covered in blue flames, and one of his eyes was blue while the other was green. When his foot hit the ground, smoke started coming from it and the ground started melting.
Prince Marek also noticed him, and from SHO details, he knew he was one of the commanders of the Stone Plant monsters.
He knew there were four commanders that were controlling the Stone Plant army.
He also summoned his sword in his right hand when he saw the sword in the commander's hand.
Both Prince Marek and the Stone Plant Commander's eyes met, and they immediately launched themselves towards each other.
Both were warriors, and they did not need introductions on the battlefield. Their swords were their introduction.
Clang!
A massive shockwave was released from their clash.
The Stone Plant Commander moved backward while Prince Marek was standing without moving.
The Stone Plant Commander started laughing, and from his body, steam started releasing, and he said without stopping laughing, "Ha! Ha! Ha! So there was someone as strong as you.
Now I will enjoy the fight to my heart's content."
And the first battle started.
Behind them, their armies also reached, and now both armies were only fifty meters away.
And then the two armies collided.
"We fight for our future," the Empire army's First Commander, Elyn, said, so she could motivate the soldiers.
She was wearing her golden war armor. She had golden eyes with no pupils and long golden hair with pure white skin.
According to their plan, Commander Elyn would back the army from the rear, but now Prince Marek was busy fighting the Third Stone Commander.
So she had to take control of the army, but she did not come here only to control the army. She came to fight someone strong. She wanted to defeat one of the Stone Plant Commanders.
"Let's make them remember who we are," she once again shouted and threw her sword at the Stone Plant King. The sword gathered a coating of purple mana, piercing the air directly.
The Stone Plant King was surprised. "So someone wants to kill me this early."
But the Fourth Stone Plant Commander came in front and blocked the sword.
"Tsk!" Commander Elyn said and started fighting the Stone Plant soldiers.
The clashes of swords echoed throughout the battlefield.
The Empire army was slowly gaining the upper hand. Fifth Commander Robin and Sixth Commander Kaelith, without wasting any time, were killing all the stone Plant soldiers that came into view. They were fighting on the front line.
They had a clear aim to kill as much as possible.
"Hold the line. We will win," shouted First Commander Elyn, killing thousands of soldiers in one swing of her sword.
She was fighting and commanding the army.
Not far from the First Commander, the Second Commander Adrian and Third Commander Cael were also killing as many as possible.
Everyone was fighting and taking their lives on the line.
Plant soldiers were using their veins to pierce the soldiers' bodies, passing through the heart.
The Empire soldiers were also killed without any mercy. They were killing one, two, or three, but more came to fight. With the help of the commanders, they were gaining the upper hand.
Only an hour passed, and millions of soldiers died on the Plant King's side, while the Empire had lost in the hundreds of thousands.
The Sixth Legion, commanded by the Third Prince Cyrus, was now losing.
Prince Cyrus's legion was surrounded on all corners.
Stone Plant soldiers were now preparing to shoot thousands of leaf missiles at them.
Prince Cyrus noticed, but he could not do anything. They were trapped. He tried to stop them, but every time he tried, he failed.
With not much choice, he called for help. Before coming into the war, every prince and princess had been given a small box from which they could call for help if they were about to be defeated or in any harm.
He quickly opened the small box. Inside the box, there was a red button. He quickly pressed it. A small flash appeared from the box.
Now in the mountains,
Horskey and Earthspider were protecting and fighting with Stone Plant monsters for the last thirty hours.
Whenever Horskey and Earthspider tried to relax, massive armies of Stone Plant soldiers started attacking.
For the last ten hours, they were slaying Stone Plant monsters.
They made a silent agreement in which one would fight and the other would recover their strength and stamina while protecting both Maya and the unknown princess.
They were doing their best to protect both of them, even though they had to put their lives on the line.
But they were slowly losing. Horskey's one hand was cut, but he did not stop.
Earthspider's condition was far more concerning. His three arms and one eye were destroyed, and blood was dropping on the ground from his wounds. Besides his condition, he did not run, protecting them at any cost.
But suddenly, one Stone Plant soldier pierced Horskey's chest with his hand, making a hole in his body.
Earthspider noticed Horskey's condition. He got up from his position and moved towards Horskey to protect him, but he was late. Horskey was lying on the ground, and his heartbeat had stopped.
Earthspider summoned swords in the sky and attacked the Stone Plant monsters, but he also failed, and from the side, a Stone Plant cut his other two legs with his hands.
His balance was disturbed, and he fell.
But the Stone Plant monsters did not stop. They continuously attacked him until his heartbeat had stopped.
Now both Horskey and Earthspider were dead.
In their green eyes was pure hatred and only one aim, to kill everyone that came into view.
And the entire army of Stone Plant soldiers was moving towards the unconscious Maya and the unknown princess.
