Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: Vision and Head Lang? (First Update, Please Subscribe!)

"Swish--"

A golden portal opened, this time directly inside the fence of the Caspian Sea Camp.

Everyone passed through the portal one after another, and were suddenly surprised to find that the zombies outside the fence were acting strangely.

They were too quiet!

The densely packed zombies stood motionless in front of the fence.

It was clearly a flimsy wire fence that couldn't possibly stop so many zombies, yet they weren't taking any action.

Seeing them, these zombies didn't show the excited reaction other zombies had upon seeing living people.

This was very unusual!

"Why aren't they afraid of the fence?"

Winter Soldier Bucky stared at the zombies outside, his brows furrowed.

"Maybe they don't need to climb everything?"

Spider-Man said something he didn't even believe himself, because he saw that the fence in a certain spot had already fallen, but the zombies were still standing there and hadn't entered.

"We need to be careful, Baba Yaga is all around us."

Kurt looked left and right, speaking mysteriously. "I can feel it."

"Baba who?" Bruce Banner asked curiously.

"Baba Yaga, a Witch. Legend says she wanders the dark corners of the Sacred Burial Ground."

This was the Witch from Russian legends.

"Pak!"

A hand suddenly rested on Kurt's shoulder while he was concentrating on describing.

"Baba Yaga--" Kurt was startled, overreacting.

"Ah, sorry, I just scared You, my bad, I didn't mean to."

Spider-Man, who had tapped him, quickly apologized.

"It's just a spider-boy, You scared me to death." Kurt breathed a sigh of relief, still a bit fearful.

"Pak!"

Spider-Man's shoulder was also tapped.

Spider-Man and Kurt's movements and reactions were almost perfectly synchronized; they were both startled and their hair stood on end.

The one who tapped Spider-Man's shoulder was a red and green bionic arm?

"Vision!"

Bruce Banner walked excitedly towards Vision and hugged him tightly.

"You're the normal Vision, oh God, You can't even imagine how happy I am to see a familiar face like Yours instead of those disgusting faces with half of them gnawed off."

Wasp, Spider-Man, Winter Soldier Bucky, and Bruce Banner were considered Avengers members.

But at this point in time, they weren't that familiar with each other.

Wasp and Bruce Banner didn't participate in the Civil War, while Spider-Man and Winter Soldier Bucky were enemies during the Civil War.

As for Vision, who suddenly appeared, some of the survivors didn't know him, some knew him but weren't close, and only Bruce Banner had the deepest feelings for him.

After all, Bruce Banner also contributed to Vision's birth.

Vision stood there blankly, letting Bruce Banner hold him, and explained, "That's one of the advantages of being a robot. I'm not on their menu."

Bruce Banner released Vision and looked up, seeing the Mind Stone glowing on Vision's forehead.

"So that's it, that's why You can keep those zombies at bay."

Bruce Banner suddenly understood, realizing why the zombies outside the fence were so quiet.

"Follow me."

Vision led everyone into the interior of the camp.

As they walked, he said, "The Mind Stone, my essence. Zombies dislike the sub-frequency emitted by the stone."

Sensor lights lit up one by one as they arrived at the camp's communication console.

The others didn't understand Vision's explanation, but Bruce Banner did.

"Does this mean the zombie infection is a form of hepatic encephalopathy?"

Kurt raised his hand, wanting to ask a question, but Spider-Man, who was also considered a genius, said directly, "Something related to the brain."

This answer was easy to understand!

"Exactly."

Vision continued, "The virus overloads the limbic system, so I discovered this characteristic of the infected disliking the Mind Stone."

"I've been testing if directing energy from the Mind Stone towards them can restore them to their original state."

"Have You succeeded?" Okoye asked.

"Ta-da! Look!"

Before Vision could answer, a lively voice full of energy shouted out.

"Wait, who's talking?"

Everyone looked around but couldn't find anyone.

Wasp suddenly became a little excited.

"Scott! Is that You? Scott?!"

Scott?

Scott Lang?

"Hope? Oh my God, oh my God, it really is You, someone help me turn around, quickly, I can't wait any longer."

Vision walked to the chair and turned it around.

"Hiss--"

Seeing Scott Lang's appearance, Samuel, who had been calm all along, finally broke character and sharply drew in a breath of cold air.

On the chair was a transparent glass dome seat, and inside the glass dome was a head, Scott Lang's head, a lively, hopping head!

Okay, it wasn't hopping, but Scott Lang, who was only a head, was clearly still alive!

His appearance instantly reminded Samuel of someone...

Deadpool!

To be precise, one of the many Deadpools, Headpool!

This Headpool was the Deadpool from the Zombie Universe, but he was only a head, yet his bloodthirsty and motor-mouthed nature remained unchanged.

Bloodthirsty aside, when it comes to wise-cracking, Scott Lang was even better.

Deadpool survived with just a head because of his powerful Self-healing ability.

Although Scott Lang was the second generation Ant-Man, he was just an ordinary person himself, so something like surviving with only a head would never happen.

Combining Vision's words just now, Samuel had a guess.

"Oh my god, Scott, you—how did you become like this."

Scott's friend, Kurt, didn't know what to say.

Winter Soldier Bucky also recognized him with a surprised look.

"Lang?"

Wasp didn't say anything, just walked over and picked him up.

Truly holding you in the palm of my hand!

Although Scott Lang's eyes were red, his Gossip nature remained unchanged.

"I just lost a little weight, thanks for everyone's concern."

"But don't worry, I won't let my head get infected."

Everyone looked speechless.

Scott Lang: "Sorry, I just use cold jokes to tell sad stories. Hank really didn't like my cold jokes, uh, Hank used to really not like them."

His tone gradually dropped.

"Hey, hey, don't cry, it'll fog up the cover." Okoye walked over and tapped the glass cover.

She, who usually gave off a cold vibe, actually used a coaxing tone to comfort him.

"Sorry, I know, I know, it's just, if that old man with the bad temper could scold me one more time, I'd be willing to do anything."

Scott Lang was miserable, but his talkativeness and cold jokes made him seem not so miserable.

Vision also started talking about why Scott Lang became like this.

"I cured it."

"Sure enough, it's just as I guessed!"

Samuel remembered in Wasp's memory that Scott Lang was bitten by the newly emerged zombie Hank and his wife.

Scott Lang should have only had his head left, but because he became a zombie, he didn't die.

Vision used the Mind Stone to cure the zombie virus's effect on Scott Lang, so Scott Lang regained his sanity and became a human again.

Also because of the characteristics of the zombie virus, he was able to survive with only his head left.
