Chapter 95 - hospital

Sirens. Stretchers. Blood-slick hands. Screaming.

The world outside the warehouse was chaos—red and blue lights tearing across shattered metal and burning debris.

Michael staggered through the smoke, Keifer limp in his arms, blood still dripping from the knife wound Yuri left. Behind him, Aries and Angelo dragged the rest of Sec-E and Aces toward the ambulances.

"HE'S NOT WAKING UP!"samuel yelled as the paramedics rushed over."He's losing too much blood! He needs surgery NOW!"

Keifer's head lolled to the side, lips pale, breath shallow. His fingers twitched once—like he was still reaching for Jay.

Then nothing.

They pushed Michael back as they lifted Keifer onto a stretcher.

samuel :"BP dropping!""Pulse unstable!""Get him inside—NOW!"

Angelo stumbled forward, coughing, shirt burned and torn, but still fighting to move."Jay… where's Jay…? Someone find her!" he choked.

But Jay wasn't there.

Only fire.

Only smoke.

Only the echo of her last words.

The ambulance lights painted the night in red and white as aries and the Aces shoved through the hospital doors, dragging Keifer on a stretcher. His shirt was soaked—too much blood, too fast.

"WE NEED A TRAUMA TEAM!" samuel shouted, voice cracking.

Doctors rushed in, swarming like bees.

"Stab wound across the side—deep. Blood pressure dropping!"

"Get him to OR—NOW!"

Keifer's head rolled to the side, unconscious, lips pale. Michael grabbed his hand one last time before they pulled him away.

"Don't you dare die," he whispered, voice breaking. "Jay will… she'll kill you herself if you die first."

Behind him, Cin wheezed on a stretcher. Felix held a fractured wrist. Angelo's knuckles were split open to the bone. Calix and David coughed up gas residue.

Everyone hurt. Everyone shaking.

Except Keifer.

Keifer didn't wake.

On the other side of the hospital—far from the chaos—a nurse rushed a different stretcher down a quiet corridor.

A girl.

Burned hands. Bruised ribs. Hair matted with dust. Skin ghost-pale.Her clothes torn from the blast.

Unidentified.

Unconscious.

Found collapsed outside the warehouse by a cloaked figure who vanished the second the ambulance arrived.

No name given.

Just one sentence left behind:

"Save her."

The doctors didn't waste a second.

"She's losing oxygen!"

"Get her on ventilation."

"Her vitals are unstable—possible concussion, internal trauma—prepare for emergency scan!"

They tried everything.

Minutes stretched. Machines beeped frantically.

Then—flat.

A horrifying flat line.

"She's going into shock—MOVE!"

They shocked her chest.

Once.

Twice.

A third time—

A weak heartbeat flickered back.

"She's in a coma," one doctor whispered, breath shaking. "But—her brain activity… it keeps spiking. She's trying to wake herself up."

Another doctor nodded. "She's fighting. Hard. There's a chance she'll come back."

Back with the Aces…

Michael slammed into the wall, hands in his hair.

"She wasn't inside! We didn't find her body! WHERE IS SHE?!"

Angelo clenched his fists, trembling. "Jay would never just disappear."

Percy sank into a chair, chest heaving. "If she's alive—why hasn't she called?"

aries wiped his tears. "Because she can't."

The moment Michael stepped out, everyone saw his face.

They didn't need words.

Jay wasn't with them.

Not in the ambulance. Not on any stretcher. Not standing behind them catching her breath. Not smiling. Not alive.

Aries broke first.

He slid down the white hospital wall, head in his hands, sobs ripping straight out of his chest."I didn't— I didn't spend enough time with her… she always asked me to hang out and I never— I NEVER—"

Percy slammed his fist into the wall so hard his knuckles split."I promised her… I PROMISED I'd protect her. I told her she'd never be alone again—AND I LET HER suffer!"

Angelo trembling uncontrollably."She… she jumped into fire for us. And I couldn't jump back…"He covered his face, shoulders shaking violently.

The girls ran in—One by one, they froze at the sight of the boys shattered on the floor.

Cin didn't even speak—he fell into rakki's arms, sobbing so loudly every nurse looked over.

The entire Sec-E was broken.

David punched the chairs.Felix kept whispering, "No, no, no… Jay isn't gone… she can't be…"Blaster cried silently, gripping his head.Calix fell to his knees.Josh trembled.Drew covered his mouth, eyes wide with disbelief.Eman, Denzel, Edrix, Rory—every single one broke.

The hospital speakers crackled.

"Code Silver. Unidentified female patient—critical."

Something twisted inside everyone's chest..

In a dark ICU room…

Jay lay completely still.Wires attached to her arms.Bandages around her ribs.Breathing through a tube.

Her eyelashes trembled—not enough to wake her, but enough to prove she was fighting.

The monitor beeped—slow, steady.

She wasn't gone.

She wasn't done.

And far down the hallway, Keifer's stretcher was rushed past—his heart beating weakly, unconscious, desperately clinging to life.

Two rooms.

Two hearts.

Both broken.

Both waiting to find each other again.

Michael sank beside him, crying too.Aries hugged Percy. even Angelo clung to the wall.Everyone cried for the girl who saved them all.

Hours passed.

Teams searched the blast site.Firefighters combed through debris.Police took statements.

Nothing.

No body.No traces.No signs.

Just the memory of the explosion and a bloodstained knife Jay used to free the others.

The world had already started calling her a hero death.

A family mourning their missing heart.

But none of it compared to Keifer.

Because when Keifer woke—

He didn't wake gently.

He woke screaming.

"JAY?! JAY—WHERE IS SHE—JAY!?!"His voice cracked, wild, filled with terror no doctor could calm.

He tried to rip the wires out of his arms, tried to sit up despite the stitches tearing.Nurses held him down, but it wasn't enough.

He roared like an animal in a steel trap.

"LET ME GO! LET ME GO TO HER! PLEASE—PLEASE—DON'T SAY SHE'S GONE—DON'T—"

Michael grabbed his shoulders."Keifer—Keifer STOP! The explosion—Jay never came out—"

A sound escaped him—raw, guttural, heartbreaking.

A sound no one had ever heard from him except once—When his mother died. When Serina died.
