Jax was sitting in the auditorium.
In the student section.
He didn't do it on purpose. His brain simply wasn't braining today.
The reality of his situation had finally sunk in. He would have to babysit four students.
Four. Not one. Not two. Four entire beings who would have their own tantrums, their own egos, their own bullshit like:
'We won't accept your orders!'
'You're the same age as us!'
'Who do you think you are?'
He could already hear the complaints. The whining. The inevitable power struggle that would waste days of his precious time.
It would take effort to show them their place. Break their spirits. Establish dominance.
And honestly? He was tired of these things.
He had even asked Lysandra for another assistant. A temporary replacement for Roxana.
That bitch had smiled.
"It will be a good test for you, Professor. Handling students independently builds character."
Jax had stared at her.
