He stood and left without waiting for a response.
Nyxara's shadow drifted toward the door.
"The calculation I ran during this meeting," she said, not stopping, her voice still coming from every direction, "keeps returning the same result. Chronus's plan — whatever it is — removes options the longer it proceeds. Acting now is costly. Acting later may be impossible." The shadow reached the door.
