First approach — left shoulder. The Void Fang ate through the barrier's reduced density and made contact. Real damage. Chronus displaced.
Second approach — the new position was compromised. The cascade's accumulation working through every displacement. Right side. Real damage. Chronus displaced again.
Third approach — the barrier's rear coverage was the thinnest it had been in the entire fight. Satou came in from behind for the first time.
Chronus caught the warning at 0.21 seconds instead of his original 0.09 — enough to partially clear but not fully. He came out of the displacement with three damage points and a new position visibly less optimal than any he'd occupied before.
He stopped.
Looked at Satou.
Satou looked back.
