"Yes," Freda said. "By a specific and decisive margin." She looked at her folio. "We don't need to defeat twelve Inquisitors plus two ECD operatives. We need the ECD operatives to commit to a plan built on an assessment that doesn't include what Lord Satou has actually become."
She closed the section.
"The rest of the framework is execution," she said. "Section ten through twelve are unit-specific protocols. Cael will walk each unit through theirs in separate sessions this week."
The unit leads had more questions.
It took two hours to address all of them.
When the session ended and the unit leads filed out, Gruk stopped in the doorway. He looked at Freda with the specific quality he had when something required acknowledgment and he was deciding how to give it.
"Good work," he said.
He left.
Freda looked at the diagram on the table for a moment.
