"Ms. Qiao Mei, you are passing off stolen work as your own!"
Mo Yi froze before she spun around. Her eyes were cold with fury. Whoever came here to tarnish her hard work was going to pay, no matter who they were.
A small circle had formed near the main monitor. In the center stood Qiao Mei, looking pale and confused with a hint of anger in the hands she crossed. Opposite her was Mr. Cao, the lead fashion critic for Elysian Magazine, a man whose reviews could make or break a new brand.
Mo Yi wondered what he was doing here, backstage.
Who even allowed him in?
Standing just behind Mr. Cao, looking the very picture of concerned innocence, was Zhu Ri. Mo Yi finally understood, with a frustrated groan, and she approached them.
In the corner, Zhen Rui was there blending away from the crowd, watching the scene unfold with a hidden smirk.
'You thought you could outwin me? Dream on, Zhen Yi'
