Chapter 10 - Knock out

'i think im going to pass out'

My head hurt so fucking much thanks to these weird things happening that i didn't care about them anymore.

The reincarnation was quite surprising to me but u believed there to be some sort of thing before dying so i took it normally.

People using magic? Sure! I wanted to see something like that so im not complaining.

Leaving me inside a space i dont know anything about and then throwing me into beasts without any means of protecting myself, even though i would still run due to their unnatural and scary appearance?

Why the hell not!

But to make people also be weird sorts of monsters that can change their shape and basically not be considered human?

That was the last straw.

.

"So? You're going to show me anything or am i supposed to get rid of you."

The brute chuckled to himself as he got closer to the two people.

His name was Francine Groisure, a disciple aswell as a son of the current headmaster Eugene Groisure.

He is a talented person who could be considered a once in a decade miracle.

His father who was also his master, trained him every single day so that the position of a headmaster was handed down to him.

Today he was tasked with testing the new first years abilities and the result was..

'Marvelous'

To think that there were these kinds of people hidden somewhere around the world.

The way they moved was like that of experienced warriors, reading every move their oponent made and responding in the most efficient way.

It made Francine excited.

'will i be able to become a headmaster?'

Thoughts like these crossed his mind but everyone had their own lives.

It was almost guaranteed that he would have a smooth journey towards his dream.

That's why he needed to make sure students of this academy were the very best.

"Hey."

The student in front of him spoke up getting his attention.

'he's not half bad.'

He held a sword that seemed to be of grade 7.

His posture was calm and yet he couldnt find any openings inside it.

The mana he felt from him was also quite impressive which he noticed right before falling from the ceiling where he hid to ambush next applicants.

Now that he stood right in front of him, he didn't know if the boy was really just a child.

It's not like there werent more people like him but it just made things more fun and rewarding.

'wait a minute.'

Now that he focused on the boy, it seemed as though he didn't actually say anything to him.

It was weird though, he could swear that someone just spoke to him-

"Hey, you."

The same voice seemes to come from behind that boy as not soon after, another person walked from behind him.

"Can you just like, get away from the door?"

Walking up to him, the boy looked straight at his face with tired eyes.

It confused Francine to the point that he needed to rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

He thought that there was only one person here.

And to the point that it might have been mistaken for two people.

His proficiency at sensing people was quite high because manipulating mana is his talent after all.

Yet it was as if the mana was avoiding his body.

There was no trace at all of him on that spot as if he was just a mirrage.

After years of training with his father. He learnt two most important facts about mana.

'Everything living being has mana inside of them.'

And the other, which shouldnt even be considered in this scenario.

'Mana can be hidden if its greater than yours'

Just the thought of the second option made him smile nervously.

"Hey? Are you deaf?"

The boy got closer almost face to face with him.

Without a second thought, Francine gathered his strenght for the most powerfull attack he could make before throwing a punch straight to Vlad's gut and flinging him straight into the wall as smoke alongside debree flew from the impact.

Contrary to his expectations, Vlad didn't seem to walk out of the smoke like some sort of powerhouse, he didn't move at all as the place overtook and awkward silence with Francine's face filled with surprise.

'so it was an illusion?'

To make something so realistic would take hours of mastering not counting the many tutors and resources sacrificed for learning.

It just made him more curious about the boy who stood in front of him.

It was then that he noticed him making the same surprised expression as he did a few seconds earlier with his jaw hanging down.

'?'

If he fell for his illusion then this would be the perfect moment to catch him off guard.

Wasn't that the way illusionists fought?

He didn't really seem to know due to his lack of experience fighting magic focused people.

It irritared him that all they had to do was cast some weird spells from the side and then shoot their enemies in the most boring way possible.

Where was the fun in that!

"Hey."

The blue guy suddenly spoke, fixing his eyes on Francines.

He could feel slight chills creep up his spine, making him more riled up than ever.

Marco raised the sword above his hand, gripping it tightly around the handle.

"I won't let you off the hook for this."

He spoke as if he knew already the outcome of their battle which to be honest wasn't impossible considering what hes shown so far.

It just made it seem more fun.

'who does this brat think he is, threatening me?'

"Whats your name?"

He just had to know.

There was no other time when he could find a person as interesting as him.

He thought for a moment before smirking and declaring proudly.

"Im Marco, Marco Wenric."
