Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: Gang Base

Yang Xiaokun felt it wasn't appropriate to ask further. Ji Xinba genuinely seemed unable to articulate the specific differences between the Tenth Mortal Realm and the Six Kings Realm; perhaps one could only understand through actual combat.

"Starting tomorrow, you can begin taking on missions for the Poshi House. However, it's best not to contact your school for now, to avoid drawing attention," Ji Xinba said to Yang Xiaokun seriously.

"I understand," Yang Xiaokun nodded.

At night, Wu Shiyin began assigning missions. Yang Xiaokun needed to perform a mission alone, and this type of mission was the easiest, yet also the most dangerous.

A direct assault mission, infiltrating a gang's stronghold and killing the gang leader, was this kind of task. It didn't require much preparation, just bringing one's fists and feet.

However, those gang leaders were not to be trifled with; their subordinates might be powerful superhumans, but their specific strength was unknown, so Yang Xiaokun needed to take action.

There were simply too many such missions. The Poshi House didn't particularly like dealing with them, but due to Yang Xiaokun's special circumstances, they took on this type of mission, solely to temper Yang Xiaokun.

Yang Xiaokun also knew that the Poshi House had done a lot for him; just Qiao Nansan's medical expenses were substantial, though Wu Shiyin hadn't told Yang Xiaokun the exact amount.

Yang Xiaokun could only repay the Poshi House's kindness by continuously taking on missions; this was unavoidable.

As for U.A. High School, Yang Xiaokun had no intention of returning yet. As soon as he went back, Zheng Yingshan would definitely find out. He only wanted to improve his strength now and didn't want to be discovered too early again.

The next day, Yang Xiaokun woke up in the training base as usual, running ten laps around the training ground. By this time, Wu Shiyin had already returned with breakfast.

"Eat breakfast. You'll be going on a mission soon, so eat more," Wu Shiyin patted Yang Xiaokun's shoulder, smiling as he spoke.

Yang Xiaokun immediately slapped his hand away and spat, "It's not like this is the last meal I'll ever eat. You make it sound like I'm going to die after today."

"Hahahaha..." Wu Shiyin laughed for a while and then said, "Of course, I don't mean that. Anyway, eating more breakfast helps with your body's recovery."

"That's true," Yang Xiaokun nodded and began to eat breakfast. Not long after, Himiko Toga and the other Poshi House members also came to eat.

"Yang Xiaokun, today is to verify your recovery and practical combat skills from these past days, so don't disappoint me. I don't want to teach you from scratch again," Ji Xinba pushed his glasses up, then picked up his soy milk and took a sip, suddenly spitting it out: "Wu-san, why is it soy milk again? Can we have something else?"

"Don't you know I only love drinking soy milk?" Wu Shiyin chuckled.

Yang Xiaokun knew what Ji Xinba meant by 'I don't want to teach you from scratch again.' It meant that if Yang Xiaokun got injured again and went back to square one, he wouldn't be willing to teach him. Clearly, Ji Xinba would also feel embarrassed.

After all, he was considered half of Yang Xiaokun's master. If this apprentice was always disappointing, then he truly had no potential.

In fact, Ji Xinba had seen Yang Xiaokun's potential from the beginning, that he was a promising stock, which was why he patiently guided and taught him. Although he specialized in leg techniques, this didn't stop him from teaching Yang Xiaokun.

"Don't worry, I guarantee I'll complete this mission," Yang Xiaokun finished his last bun and stood up.

"Don't speak too soon, little Yang, lest you capsize," Himiko Toga said at this moment.

"You're right," Yang Xiaokun smiled slightly at her.

Himiko Toga became somewhat flustered again, simply avoiding Yang Xiaokun's gaze.

Actually, her perception of Yang Xiaokun had changed quite a bit. When he first came to the Poshi House, she thought Yang Xiaokun was just an ordinary person, but ever since he joined the core of the Poshi House...

Regardless of Yang Xiaokun's professional ability or his efficiency, he was above her. More importantly, when he entered the training base, the true strength Yang Xiaokun displayed amazed her.

Himiko Toga had initially thought Yang Xiaokun's Quirk was useless, but Yang Xiaokun could actually spar with Ji Xinba, and he grew stronger with each exchange. This level of strength could be said to have already surpassed her.

In Himiko Toga's heart, only the strong could earn her admiration and appreciation. Before, she had never imagined such a thing would happen to Yang Xiaokun.

That's right, she did have such feelings for Yang Xiaokun now, though they weren't particularly strong.

After finishing their meal, Wu Shiyin and Ji Xinba called Yang Xiaokun alone to an empty room. Wu Shiyin took out a set of disguise equipment and handed it to Yang Xiaokun: "Later, Xinba will help you put it on. With this, you won't be exposed."

Yang Xiaokun nodded. Wu Shiyin continued, "Are you clear about the mission and the person to be executed?"

"I'm clear. I've already done my homework last night," Yang Xiaokun nodded and said.

"Good, in that case, I'll leave first. I still need to watch outside," Wu Shiyin turned to look at Ji Xinba: "Xinba, help Yang Xiaokun put on the disguise. Don't make any mistakes."

After speaking, Wu Shiyin left the training base, and then Ji Xinba began to help Yang Xiaokun prepare his disguise.

Half an hour later, Yang Xiaokun had already left. His appearance was now that of a fair-skinned young man in his thirties, with a very bright face, looking like a sickly person who never exercised.

Yang Xiaokun knew the mission location and took a taxi directly. Speaking of which, this gang's stronghold wasn't too far, about a twenty-minute drive, provided there was no traffic.

Sure enough, there was traffic. Half an hour later, Yang Xiaokun arrived near an unassuming-looking warehouse. There were warehouses everywhere here, and no one would think anything was amiss.

After searching for a few minutes, Yang Xiaokun pinpointed the gang member's stronghold, then walked to their door and began to urinate.

"Kid, you've got some nerve, not even checking where you are before peeing anywhere?"

A cold voice came, followed by a delinquent with tattooed arms walking from behind. He was a bit shorter than Yang Xiaokun, but his presence was strong.

Yang Xiaokun immediately pulled up his pants, looking somewhat scared at the delinquent: "There's no one here, why can't I use the restroom?"

"You still dare to talk back, get inside!" The delinquent directly grabbed Yang Xiaokun's neck and dragged him inside. During the process, Yang Xiaokun didn't resist at all, just letting the delinquent drag him in.

After about a minute of dragging, the delinquent pulled Yang Xiaokun into a large room inside the warehouse. There were more than a dozen people inside, and at least thirty outside, adding up to forty or fifty people.

These people were all gang members. They seemed to be busy handling goods, but most of them were involved in smuggling and even murder.

This was Yang Xiaokun's purpose: he had to eliminate the leader here. Once the leader died, the subordinates would scatter.
