The guards rushed at Baki. Baki smiled before vanishing from his spot. The guards couldn't even see what hit them before they were embedded in the metal walls.
Sirens began blaring throughout the ship. Footsteps echoed before several men surrounded Baki. An old man with a goatee came forward. He muttered something in Chinese before switching to Korean.
"Young man, may I have the courtesy of asking your name?"
Baki leaned backward and several darts flew over him. He smiled. "Old man, isn't it discourteous to attack someone you just asked to introduce themselves?"
Darts flew toward Baki from several directions. Baki dodged through them nimbly. Suddenly, two men wearing traditional masks appeared before him and slashed down with spears. Baki did a backflip and dodged the attack.
They thrust at Baki with their spears. Baki jumped and stomped on the spear shafts, breaking them. Another man thrust a spear at Baki. Baki grabbed it with both palms and quickly slammed it with his forearm, snapping it in half.
The old Chinese man stroked his goatee. "Hmm... You're very skilled, young man. I have heard that Korea is home to monsters. Are you perhaps one of them?"
Baki chuckled. "Old man, I can see through your intentions." Baki swept his hand through the air and opened his palm, revealing a very small needle. "These cheap tricks won't work, old man."
The old man smiled. "I am Zhang Wei. What is your name, young boy?"
This time there were no secret attacks. Baki smiled. "I am Baki. Baki Hanma."
The old man's smile widened. "Good. Very good. So, are you ready to put your life on the line?"
Baki vanished from his spot and grabbed one of the masked men's heads, kneeing him in the face. Then Baki grinned. "Old man, there's no historical drama shit going on here."
Several guards attacked Baki. Baki weaved through their attacks and punched them. Bodies were sent flying with each punch.
Three masked men appeared, surrounding Baki. Though their spears were broken, they didn't abandon them and thrust the shattered weapons at him.
Baki smirked and crouched slightly before jumping. He performed a 1440-degree spinning kick and landed it on the neck of one of the masked men.
BOOM!
The sound echoed through the ship. Dust and debris flew. When it cleared, a massive crater had appeared. Inside it, the masked man lay with his neck bent at an odd angle.
A spear slashed down at Baki. Baki sidestepped and kicked the masked man in the ankle, making him fall. Then Baki immediately followed with a kick to the chest. The masked man flew back and slammed into a wall. The last masked man threw a flurry of thrusts at Baki, which Baki easily dodged. Then Baki grabbed the spear and swung it. The masked man was lifted off his feet and crashed into several guards.
More guards poured in from the side corridors, at least twenty of them. They wielded batons, knives, and chains. Zhang Wei watched from a safe distance, stroking his goatee with interest.
"Surround him! Don't let him escape!" one of the guards shouted.
They closed in from all sides. Baki stood in the center, completely relaxed. The first guard swung a baton at his head. Baki ducked under it and delivered an uppercut that lifted the man off his feet. Before the guard even hit the ground, Baki had already pivoted and caught another guard's wrist, twisting it until the knife clattered to the floor. He swept the guard's legs and used the falling body as a shield against three others rushing in.
A chain whipped toward Baki's face. He caught it with one hand and pulled hard. The guard on the other end stumbled forward, and Baki's knee met his stomach. As the guard doubled over, Baki wrapped the chain around his fist and used it to deflect incoming attacks, the metal links sparking against knives and batons.
Two guards tried to grab Baki from behind. Without looking, Baki dropped low and swept his leg in a wide arc, taking both men's legs out from under them. He sprang back up and delivered a spinning backfist to a guard charging from his left, then immediately transitioned into a side kick that sent another guard crashing through a metal door.
"He's a monster!" one guard shouted, backing away.
"Don't run! There's only one of him!" another yelled, though his voice trembled.
Baki grinned wider. A guard swung a pipe at his ribs. Baki caught it, and the impact echoed with a metallic clang, but Baki didn't even flinch. The guard's eyes widened in horror. Baki ripped the pipe from his hands and bent it into a U-shape with his bare hands before tossing it aside.
Three guards coordinated an attack—one high, one low, one middle. Baki jumped over the low attack, twisted in mid-air to avoid the middle strike, and caught the high attacker's fist. He used the momentum to spin and throw the guard into his two companions. All three went down in a tangled heap.
The remaining guards hesitated, fear evident in their eyes. Zhang Wei's expression had shifted from confident amusement to concerned calculation.
"Interesting," the old man muttered. "Very interesting indeed."
Meanwhile, Johan was fighting several guards. Johan performed a slight hop into a vertical roundhouse kick, sending a guard flying. More guards jumped at him. Johan executed a high-standing vertical upward heel kick and sent them all flying.
A masked man thrust his spear at Johan. Johan sidestepped and performed a somersault, hitting him in the jaw with a kick.
Two more masked men appeared before him and thrust rapidly. Johan kept backing up until his back hit the wall. The masked men increased their speed. Johan leaped into the air while spinning and delivered a powerful hook kick. The other man immediately pivoted toward Johan, but Johan moved quicker and threw several side kicks with his other leg extended. The masked man tried to block with his spear shaft, but the wood splintered under the force of Johan's kicks.
Seeing that all the enemies were knocked out, he sat on one of the downed bodies. Suddenly, his ear twitched. He immediately rolled back from his spot.
The body he'd been sitting on was cleaved in two. A man wearing a traditional mask with a lion-like mane appeared before him. "Hmm... I didn't expect the intruder to be this young."
Meanwhile, Baki was pulling Zhang Wei by his goatee. The old man was badly bruised. Baki asked, "Where do you keep the drugs?"
Zhang Wei kept his mouth shut. Baki sighed and pulled his goatee hard. Zhang Wei cried out in pain but still didn't answer. Baki sighed and chopped the old man in the neck, knocking him unconscious. Since the drugs were on this ship, he decided to blow the whole thing up.
Suddenly, a body flew back at Baki. Baki quickly caught the person. It was Johan.
Johan wiped the blood from his mouth. Zhou Bao walked out. "I didn't expect just two guys to decimate our crew."
