Cherreads

Chapter 233 - Chapter 225 – Tsunade’s Guidance

Jiraiya burst into laughter and waved his hand dismissively.

"I'm not interested in competing over something like that at all."

Then his tone became serious as he looked at Naruto.

"Naruto, remember this—Tsunade is the greatest medical ninja in the entire shinobi world. No one surpasses her when it comes to understanding the human body, controlling chakra with precision, or studying the relationship between chakra and cells."

He crossed his arms and smirked.

"If anyone can help you complete the Wind Release Chakra Mode within a year—a task harder than climbing to the heavens—it would be her."

Naruto's eyes lit up instantly.

"Really?!"

Without another word, he turned and sprinted out of the room.

"Then I'm going right now!"

Jiraiya watched him disappear and sighed helplessly.

"That boy is still as impatient as ever…"

Afterward, he shifted his attention toward Sasuke.

Unlike Naruto, Sasuke had no prior knowledge of sealing techniques. For him, beginning directly with something as advanced as the Sky Covering Formation was extremely difficult.

However, Sasuke was undeniably a genius.

Whether in theoretical knowledge or ninjutsu mastery, he was not inferior to Naruto in the slightest. Even now, he was already beginning to understand some of the principles behind the technique.

Jiraiya nodded inwardly.

"As expected… Sasuke is talented too."

Tsunade's New Student

Elsewhere, Tsunade had already begun instructing Hinata.

She was still bothered by the wager she had made with Jiraiya, but that only motivated her further. She had even prepared a training plan in advance.

"Hinata."

"Yes, Master."

"I know the Hyuga Clan specializes in the Gentle Fist, a style focused on softness, precision, and internal strikes. My own style, however, is overwhelming strength and explosive punches."

She paused before smiling confidently.

"At first glance, the two paths seem incompatible."

Hinata listened carefully.

"But what I want you to achieve," Tsunade continued, "is the fusion of hardness and softness. Precision and destruction. Control and force."

Her eyes gleamed with excitement.

"If you succeed, it will create an entirely new field of taijutsu."

Hinata's face flushed.

"Y-Yes! Thank you, Master!"

Tsunade nodded.

"Of course, that road is still long. Before you can combine the two styles, you first need to understand where my monstrous strength comes from."

She raised a finger.

"The so-called monstrous strength people speak of is merely a general term. Any taijutsu that unleashes extraordinary power could be described that way."

"My method only appears simple and crude. In truth, it is an advanced application of medical ninjutsu that requires absurdly precise chakra control."

Hinata blinked in surprise.

Tsunade smiled.

"Fortunately, the Hyuga Clan is naturally gifted in delicate chakra control. That means you already possess the foundation."

Hinata smiled shyly.

"In short," Tsunade said, "I gather a vast amount of chakra in an instant, compress it into a single point with perfect control, and release it all at once."

She clenched her fist.

"That creates destructive force capable of shattering earth and stone."

Hinata stared in admiration.

"Your control is excellent," Tsunade continued, "but your weakness is gathering large amounts of chakra quickly. That will be the focus of your training."

Hinata bowed deeply.

"Yes, Master!"

Naruto Arrives

"Ah… so that's how it works!"

Suddenly, a voice came from nearby.

Naruto had somehow appeared beside them and slammed his fist into his palm.

Tsunade jumped slightly.

"Naruto?!"

"When did you get here?"

Then she narrowed her eyes dramatically.

"And how dare you secretly eavesdrop on my lesson? Do you know the punishment for that?"

Naruto nearly leaped backward in panic.

"Huh?!"

"The Perverted Sage told me to come ask Grandma Tsunade for advice! I just got here!"

Shizune laughed softly.

"Lady Tsunade is only teasing you."

Hinata blushed and greeted Naruto quietly.

"N-Naruto…"

Naruto waved casually in return.

Tsunade folded her arms.

"Jiraiya already accepted you as his student. Why send you to me?"

Naruto quickly explained everything.

The moment he finished, Tsunade's expression changed.

"What?!"

"You want me to teach you how to activate body cells with chakra?"

She pointed angrily toward the direction Jiraiya had gone.

"That shameless fool made a bet with me over whose student is better, and on the first day he sends you here for help?"

Naruto looked pitiful.

"So… you won't teach me?"

Shizune stepped in quickly.

"Lady Tsunade, no matter what, this is for Konoha's future."

"Naruto is one of the village's greatest combat assets."

Naruto nodded repeatedly.

"Exactly! Please, Tsunade Granny!"

Hinata also pleaded softly.

"Master… please help Naruto-kun."

Tsunade groaned and rubbed her forehead.

"You two…"

After a long pause, she waved her hand.

"Fine, fine."

"But let me make one thing clear—if I help you and Jiraiya wins our bet because of it, I still won't admit defeat."

Naruto grinned widely.

"Deal!"

Inside, however, he thought:

What does your bet have to do with me? As long as I get stronger, anything is fine.

The Difficulty of Wind Release Chakra Mode

Tsunade's tone became serious.

"Naruto, the Wind Release Chakra Mode you want to develop is unprecedented."

"It is a path no one has walked before."

"And the difficulty… is beyond imagination."

She held up one finger.

"The very first step alone—activating every cell in your body with chakra—is something only a handful of people in the ninja world might accomplish."

Then she proudly placed a hand on her chest.

"Fortunately, I am one of them."

Naruto immediately frowned.

"Why do you sound just like the Perverted Sage? Why do adults always praise themselves before teaching?"

Tsunade's forehead twitched.

"Do you want to learn or not?!"

"Yes! I was wrong! Please teach me!"

She snorted.

"My Yin Seal stores chakra in the mark on my forehead day after day."

"In battle, I can release that chakra all at once. Not only does it multiply my reserves several times over, it also activates Creation Rebirth."

Naruto leaned forward.

"Creation Rebirth?"

"It is a technique that uses chakra to stimulate every cell in the body, forcing rapid division and regeneration."

"In other words, wounds heal almost instantly."

Naruto's eyes widened.

"I get it!"

"So that's the principle!"

He felt as though a door had opened in his mind.

At last, there was hope.

A Harsh Reality

But Tsunade sighed.

"Don't celebrate too soon."

Naruto froze.

"What do you mean?"

Tsunade spoke calmly.

"My Creation Rebirth works because it uses medical chakra—chakra aligned with Yang Release, possessing restorative properties."

"When it stimulates cells, the result is healing, division, and regeneration."

"But your Wind Release chakra is different."

Naruto frowned.

"How different?"

"Completely different."

She continued:

"Ordinary chakra has no special nature. But once chakra undergoes nature transformation, it gains attributes."

"Wind Release becomes sharp, cutting, and destructive."

"Lightning Release becomes violent, fast, and electrically active."

She glanced at Naruto.

"You already know shape transformation and nature transformation, correct?"

Naruto nodded.

"Right."

"Rasengan is shape transformation without nature."

"Chidori combines shape with Lightning nature."

Naruto scratched his head.

"I know all that. But what does it have to do with my technique?"

Tsunade answered bluntly.

"It means if you use healing chakra on cells, they recover."

"If you use Wind Release chakra on cells…"

She paused.

"You shred them."

Naruto imagined countless tiny blades piercing every cell in his body like needles.

He sucked in a sharp breath.

"The first person to die…"

He pointed at himself.

"Would be me?!"

Tsunade nodded gravely.

"Exactly."

Shizune and Hinata's expressions changed immediately.

Naruto swallowed.

"Then… does that mean Wind Release Chakra Mode is impossible from the start?"

The Ray of Hope

Tsunade crossed her arms.

"No."

Naruto blinked.

"No?"

She continued:

"The Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode also uses elemental chakra to stimulate the body. It greatly increases speed, power, reflexes, and durability."

"So the concept itself is possible."

Naruto's eyes brightened again.

"But," Tsunade said sharply, "the difficulty is completely different."

"Lightning chakra naturally interacts with the body's bioelectric signals."

"Nerves already transmit signals through electricity."

"That means Lightning Release, if controlled properly, can enhance nerve conduction and reaction speed."

Naruto listened carefully.

"But Wind Release is different."

"It cuts."

"It pierces."

"It tears."

Her voice became heavy.

"To use Wind Release chakra to activate every cell in your body without harming them…"

She raised a finger.

"You would need nano-level precision."

Then she spoke the final terrifying requirement.

"You would need to control chakra finely enough to stimulate all one hundred and thirty trillion cells in your body without damaging even one."

Naruto instantly broke into a cold sweat.

"That's insane…"

Tsunade nodded.

"Theoretically possible."

"But in practice?"

She shook her head.

"Almost unimaginable."

Naruto's confidence took a heavy blow.

Even he had not expected such a monstrous challenge.

Tsunade looked at him steadily.

"I'm telling you this so you can prepare yourself mentally."

"Perhaps Wind Release Chakra Mode exists only in theory and can never truly be created."

"Or perhaps it can be achieved…"

Her eyes narrowed.

"But only after years—perhaps decades—of relentless effort."

The training ground fell silent.

Naruto lowered his head, fists clenched.

The path ahead was far more dangerous than he had imagined.

Yet slowly, a grin spread across his face.

If it was impossible…

Then he would simply become the one who made it possible.
