Location the New Earth; North Pole
The team of Young Justice with some of the G.O.G, progressed further into the ever freezing wastes of the North Pole, not only having survived a natural danger, as they were focused they'd failed to noticed some men in black and red cold-gear, spying on them from a hill some distance away.
Under Sin's order, some scouts of the HYDRA forces, were sent ahead from the rest of their forces, scouting ahead, and spotting the young superheroes from alternative Earths.
One of the HYDRA grunts, with special red lensed binoculars, lowered them and with a simple nod, these grunts went down the hill, having to report their finding to Madame Sin.
Another part of the pole, Task Force X were striding through the snow, with Boomerang complaining, that they should have sent Freeze instead of him, even with him and the squad wearing special cold-gear to survive the extreme environment of the North Pole.
Katana walked up to Colonel Flag, saying to him, "Rick-san, was there no one else, aside this annoying baka?" Rick responded to Katana, "Listen I don't make the roster, take it up with Waller." at that time, the woman of the hour, Amanda Waller, she spoke to Katana and Flag through their comms, "I'd chosen these people, for a reason Tatsu...now stop wasting time, get to the target zone."
Just when Flag was about to order the squad to quicken their pace, when they were attacked by freaking robots!!
Quadropadic muted gray colored machines, with spider like legs and are mounted with lasers on their backs, rapidly firing at the Suicide Squad, immediately Harley and Flag dived into the snow, avoiding the surprise attack on them.
Katana used her blade to block and deflect all the lasers fired at her, while Deadshot, Peacemaker, and Capt. Boomerang attacked.
Boomer, threw a special metal-edge boomerang, cutting off the first couple of robots legs off, making them easier pickings for Deadshot, using his wrist mounted full-auto hand guns.
After some well placed shots, at the camera like lenses on the front of these machines, Deadshot, he hit kill-shots, blowing up the first two target, as Peacemaker was shooting his gun, causing a lot of damage on his robot, Harley got up and pulled her gun.
Both of them unloading their bullets on the damn thing, eventually Peacemaker started closing in with Katana doing the same, Peacemaker pulled his special hatchet, while Katana used her iconic soul taking blade.
They started slashing and chopping at the robots, in their way, all the while Harly, Deadshot, Boomer, and Flag provided support fire.
Diablo...he was thinking wether to get involved or not...but then a laser hit him in the chest, knocking him back onto the snow, this pissed him off, he'd roared and ignited completely in fire, transforming into Chutriel.
A giant ignited skeletal figure with a Aztecan feathered head dress, when the rest of the squad saw this, they back off and let Diablo handle the rest, panting in anger, as all the remaining robots, changed target to Diablo firing lasers at him in a futile attempt to bring him down, but none of the attacks were affective against pyrokinetic possessed banger.
Diablo cracked his fiery bone hands, saying in Spanish, "¡Estan chingado cabrones!" with that he walked forward melting snow, as steam surrounded Diablo, once close he stretched out his arms, and from his open hands a powerful and large stream of fire, burst forwards.
Consuming the dozen remaining robots, after a moment Diablo's fire, causing extensive damage, and the robots exploded, their remains burning black, and all snow melting and boiling under Diablo's heat, once the robots were dead, he started calming down.
Reverting to his original form, his light blue and white winter coat and pants, visible again.
Both Boomer and Peacemaker were always impressed by the Chutriel form of Diablo, Harley cheered and even rushed over to Diablo.
Placing her arm over her teammate, complimenting him, while Diablo had a blank, expressionless look, while this happened both Flag and Deadshot walked over to the...least, burned robot to check it.
Deadshot looked it over, only commented that "It cheap shit." compare to all the crap that not only them, but everyone else has to face in the world on a daily basis, he wasn't wrong, Flag slightly recognized these robots, a product once pitched to the military by Lex Corp.
Sighing he reached to his right ear, activating his comm, and he reported to Waller that Luthor is involved...
As this happened, Luthor's group was stretching through the snow as well, when Luthor in his Warsuit received a alarm that some of his attack drones, to scout out the enemies on the tundra.
He stopped walking, alerting Capt. Cold, Shiva, and Black Archer all stopped as well, turning to Luthor swipping, and tapping on a holo-screen above the right gauntlet of his suit.
A smile spread across Luthor, as he told his...cohorts...who some of their enemies are, Waller little pet villains, Snart chuckles, as he spoke up, "Those guys are only idiots. Nothing that we need to worry about." Merlyn and Shiva agreed with Snart's comment.
Luthor told them that he'll send more drones, across the tundra, not only letting them learn about the others in the North Pole, but with some luck, some of these disposable drones, might take out some of their rivals.
Once Luthor was done, he turned to Shiva requesting her to lead her assassin ahead, as they're more than capable to take out, a few nuisances.
Lady Shiva nodded, pulling a scimitar from her red and black coat, this immediately made all the female assassins around them to draw their swords, and other weapons.
As they rush ahead, Snart powered up his cold gun, and he decided to join Shiva, as he is the best among them in fighting cold environments.
Merlyn and Luthor, they nodded and started walking with wicket grins on both men, as this battle is just started.
In the further in the east, the mixed HYDRA forces are marching through the snow, feet, treads, and more are rushing forward with the beautiful red themed, feme fatale, Sinthea Shmidt or simply Sin, on top of a HYDRA tank, wearing a thick black coat.
Using binoculars to look around the vast white horizon, looking for her scouts, then she'd spotted some black snow-skies, shredding over to her and her forces, making the wicket HYDRA vixen smile, lowering her binoculars, she made a arm gesture to hold the march.
As the entire force stopped, Rhino grunted as he stood next to Sin's tank, with Electro landing beside Rhino, while Attuma was on his vehicle and Atlantean soldiers.
In a bit of moment the scouts reached the main force of HYDRA, when they're attacked by Luthor attack drones, shooting lasers at the entire HYDRA force.
Attuma growled and commanded his troops to attack, Sin added to the warlord's command, also ordering the HYDRA troops to also attack.
Pressurized water blasts, and energy bolts soared across the snow, hitting the several drones, Sin gritted her teeth, pulling a energy pulsing handgun, shooting also the enemies.
Some of the mech, started firing energy blasts, missiles, and charging forward, Rhino let out a chuckle, smashing his fists onto the snow before charging in too, Electro flew the air in surges of yellow electricity, once high enough he started blasting burst of electricity at the drones, blowing a couple up.
Once Rhino reached a drone, he rammed through it with his horn, piercing deep and causing the robot to explode, without leaving a mark on the Rhino.
Attuma finally having a opportunity for battle, stomped his way forward, with his three-pronged broadsword, held tightly in his blue hands, with incredible strength and might, he'd slashed through all the robots.
All the while, the one responsible for this "meager" attack, has been watching, while Luthor doesn't personally know these individuals, the data he'd...percured...has some information on these individuals, Sin of HYDRA, Attuma a Atlantean warlord, Electro a infamous electrical based criminal of New York, that can give Livewire a run for her money.
And lastly Rhino, someone that Luthor saw the financial benefits of obtaining the special armor of his, for Lex Corp benefits, regardless the other enemy is HYDRA.
The last to encounter the vast number of Luthor brand attack drones, are the Young Justice and G.O.G, currently Aqualad with twin water condensing handles, transformed in a pair of short swords, slashing apart a drone with Cheshire doing the same with her sais.
Robots exploding in their coordinated attacks, Red Arrow was shooting a mix of trick arrows, from explosives to shock arrows, with Arsenal standing beside him, shooting his various firearms at the robots, another trio bulldozing through the robots, literally, is Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Invincible.
With Superboy leaping onto a robot, pulling back his fist and smashing through another drone, exploding under the force of Superboy's punch, all the while Invincible was blurring through drone, using his superstrength and speed to blitz through them all, lastly Wonder Girl was similar to Invincible, but mixed things up, by using her own magical lasso.
One of the robots, were lassod by Wonder Girl, pulling the drone and spinning it around, as she smashed it onto another robot, destroying them both, as Atom Eve and Miss Martian, they'd used their power to attack the drones, Atom Eve firing pink blasts, and even arrow tipped projectiles, piercing through the robots.
Miss Martian used her telekinesis to back-up everyone, while also fighting directly herself.
Phasing through attacks and robots, while she also crushed these drones with her mind, as Batgirl and Spoiler threw their special "rangs" as the drones, taking out some of them on their own, whilst also staying away from the enemies fire-line, Dupli-kate, literally using numbers against the drones.
She leaped onto the air, created two duplicates and dived kicked onto a drone, smashing it onto the snow.
Then duplicating again, they pummel the machines until their destroyed, Robot and Gear using both their big brains, and advance tech to take down the robots.
As Robot fired green pulses of energy, smashed metallic fists, and even used special micro missiles against the drone, and Gear skated and flew circles around the enemy, tossing special explosives, shock-packs, and even used Back-Pack to hack some of the drones to fight alongside them, Robot, he saw this and said, "Impressive, nice Gear." making the young Bang Bady hero, smile on his face, lastly there's Rocket, and Static.
Static on his trusty flying disk, was soaring through the battlefield, blasting surges of electricity, blowing up the drones, or sometimes even magnetizing them to crash against each other, taking out quite the numbers, as Rocket, she's firing force-bubbles at the robots, blowing them away, while also protecting herself with the same ability of her inertia belt.
Together these young adults, were making quick work of these common variety of Lex-tech, with this Luthor knew all the players on this hunt, clearly having the advantage, since his harassment through constant waves of cheap attack drones, kept all their enemies busy.
This is a good...but boring plan for Mao, as he'd watched Luthor and his Legion pushing forward without struggle, that is quite the bore, so the Lord of the Forsaken thought to spice things up, not just for DC's biggest display of a inferiority complex, an actual challenge...
Commanding the Nature's Heart to surge with more power, further twisting and changing the environment of the North Pole to cause everyone more trouble.
Luthor, accompanied by Black Archer were stretching through the tundra unimpeded, as Capt. Cold has just reported that there isn't anyone near them, meaning not only do they have a good lead on their "rivals", they might not need to get their hands dirty for this mission.
Lex laughed, as he loves when he obtains a overwhelming victory over any adversary, if only Superman was amongst those being crushed, by his tactics and resources.
Just when he was about to laugh, the entire tundra started to shake, even with the special balancing systems of the Warsuit, couldn't keep Luthor straight, as Merlyn was forced onto his knees.
They weren't the only ones, everyone else in the pole, were struggling to stay on their feet...unless that they flying...all over the frozen landscape of the North Pole is changing.
A massive drop in temperature was occurring, snow increased in it intensity, huge icicles and glaciers are emerging from the snow and ground, as the center, the exact center of the North Pole a massive structure made from pure ice was starting to erect itself.
Like a giant fortress of ice, rivaling the Man of Tomorrow's, Fortress of Solitude, it was completely geometric, as massive ice spikes, surrounded the structure location, it resembles a thick, and solid ice cube, covered in snow.
As this structure was finishing in it own construction, a massive entrance cracked on the side of said structure, Mao made a special...field, for all these people to fight and struggle, as he commanded the Nature's Heart to calm down, the quakes were lessening around the pole.
Finally allowing all four group, a chance to stand and steady themselves, as all these group could see, even from incredible distance a shape of the horizon, this is clearly their target.
Luthor, called off his drones, as the reports on what happened on Hawaii, has made him cautious, and when testing for dangers, it's better to send mindless machines ahead.
Merlyn contacted Snart and Shiva, both were unharmed, shaken but well, Snart commented on the new...object, that they can see from afar, Luthor cut in and told his team that, that is their target.
Seems that just like Moana Loa, this structure or whatever it is, contains their prize, they most secure and then eliminate it before the other groups do so before them, Shiva and Snart agreed, as they went on ahead.
Luthor picked up Black Archer, and they started flying towards the structure, all the while, with the Suicide Squad, HYDRA, and the heroes, they shuke off the shock, they started to rush towards the target with greater haste, as it was clear an enemy was ahead of them, as things are getting more hectic on this Core hunt.
