Night had fallen over the quiet streets of Beika Town.
Succubus Shota Akashi carried little Loli Haibara on his back, heading swiftly toward Eri's house.
As for Akemi, he'd left her to rest at the hotel. When they parted, she didn't even have the strength to lift her hand—though she was, at the very least, still conscious.
Unlike Haibara, whose gaze had been completely vacant ever since they left the hotel.
It was as if her mental circuits had fried.
Poor girl. She had never experienced anything close to this, yet today she had been swept away by such a powerful emotional wave.
It was no wonder she'd short-circuited.
Since Haibara couldn't move, Akashi had no choice but to carry her himself.
And yet, despite having unleashed his violent powers twice in a row, Akashi wasn't tired in the slightest. This little succubus body of his was built to last.
He could go another few rounds and still be fine.
But his stomach was already growling. He was starving.
Of course, that kind of energy couldn't come out of nowhere. There had to be some cost.
Akashi adjusted Haibara on his back, occasionally bouncing her gently to keep her from slipping. As he walked, his mind drifted back to the day's events at Cat's Eye Café.
In the end, nothing had been wasted.
He had spent 1,300 Yin Points to replicate all the ancient treasures stolen from the Suzuki cruise ship. Now, with Rui helping him discreetly sell them, the profits would soon roll in.
Each gem was a perfect one-to-one replica, indistinguishable even by the most seasoned appraiser.
Naturally, selling these through the Kisugi Family network would yield a tidy fortune—money that could then be used to buy more ancient treasures.
Why? Because the Treasure Phantom skill was one of the fastest ways to accumulate Yin energy.
Of course, the best person to help acquire more treasures… was Rui herself.
The only regret was that today had been a bit rushed—and Rui had been completely exhausted—so Akashi hadn't gotten the chance to visit Kisugi Castle to see the stash of artifacts they'd recovered over the years.
That place must be overflowing with Yin energy.
Still, Akashi wasn't in a hurry though. The babies wouldn't run away, and he could collect their energy next time.
However, the two check-ins today had been somewhat… underwhelming.
From the Kisugi cafe, he'd only received a Level 2 Theft Skill Fragment, which barely helped upgrade his LV3 theft skill to Level 4.
And from the hotel? A temporary APTX antidote.
Clearly, the Dog System was trying to tempt him to give the antidote to Haibara in her current, helpless state…
But Akashi was a man of principle.
He'd never stoop so low as to take advantage of someone.
Besides, as a succubus, he really didn't need to.
Eventually, Akashi returned home, carrying Haibara on his back.
On the way, he naturally ran into strange older sisters, seductive aunts, and a few overly curious grannies…
But they were all effortlessly avoided thanks to his new polarizing skill.
At first, he'd thought it was kind of useless. But now?
Not at all.
Whenever a woman gave him an odd look, Akashi simply activated his polarization ability. A flash of light would hit their eyes, and they'd immediately lose interest.
When there were too many of them, he'd shine the "holy light" directly on his face—making it impossible to see him clearly.
Some even thought he was wearing a miner's headlamp.
It was ridiculous… but effective.
Best of all, the LV1 Polarization Skill used much less energy than LV2's Hypnosis, even after repeated use. Akashi still felt mentally sharp and ready to go.
Definitely cost-efficient.
Haibara, still unconscious, gradually relaxed as she bounced gently on Akashi's back, slipping into real sleep.
By around 7:00 PM, the two finally arrived home.
As soon as they stepped through the door, the house came alive.
Ran rushed over with a concerned look.
"Akashi! What were you doing at school this late…? You said you were going back for a bit—why'd it take so long?"
Akashi gave his usual calm excuse:
"Club activities. Ai-chan and I joined the Biology Experiment Club, and we stayed late running experiments."
"But she's exhausted, so I'm taking her to her room to rest."
Naturally, the fictional "Biology Club" didn't exist… yet.
But that didn't matter. Sumiko Kobayashi, their homeroom teacher, was already under Akashi's influence. A quick word and the club would be registered.
Besides, even the Detective Boys had a so-called "Detective Club."
With Conan around as a convenient guinea pig, the numbers were more than enough for a fake science club.
After gently placing Haibara in bed, Akashi removed her shoes, pulled the quilt over her, and let her rest peacefully.
A good nap should help her recover.
Even plowing a field for nothing will yield crops eventually, Akashi thought with a grin.
He stepped out of the room and was instantly invited to dinner.
Eri, Yukiko, and Ran had all been waiting for him. None of them had eaten yet.
Even though he was just a young boy, Akashi was clearly treated as the head of the family.
And he didn't hesitate to accept the honor—his appetite was roaring after such an intense day.
As he devoured the food on the table, Ran's face lit up with joy. Her eyes turned into gentle crescent moons.
"Akashi, slow down, slow down. If that's not enough, I'll make more for you, okay?"
"You silly boy—you've got rice on your face."
She reached out, brushing the grains off his cheeks and lightly ruffling his hair with affection.
The earlier incident—when Akashi had drawn lewd words on her with a marker—was already forgotten.
Ran couldn't stay mad at this little succubus for more than a few hours.
To her, it was just one of his mischievous quirks.
Nothing serious—just part of his charm.
Eri, however, felt a slight pang of disappointment.
Her dishes didn't seem to get the same glowing reaction from Akashi…
She began to wonder if she should sign up for cooking classes and learn how to match Ran's skills.
At the dinner table, Yukiko joined in as well—helping Akashi pick up dishes that were just out of his reach.
It was a surreal scene.
Akashi sat at the table, being pampered by three beautiful women—each of them doting on him in her own way.
If Conan knew about this treatment, he'd cry himself to sleep.
Meanwhile, over at the Mōri Detective Agency, Conan had once again resorted to instant noodles.
He'd grown so used to them, he could now cook them with his eyes closed.
Sitting in front of the office window, the moonlight spilling in, stars barely visible, and crows crying in the distance…
Conan couldn't help but feel a deep melancholy.
"What's even the point of staying here…? Nine meals in three days, all instant noodles. I'm not even sure Uncle Mōri showers…"
His thoughts trailed off.
Unable to answer himself, Conan picked up his chopsticks in silent resignation.
As Kogoro's chainsaw-like snores echoed through the room, the only sound left was that of Conan…
Angrily slurping his noodles.
