Chapter 167 - Chapter 169: High-Level Profession?

A bizarre sight unfolded before Sakeer's eyes, causing his pupils to contract.

What kind of subhuman race is this?

Or is it an entirely different species?

"Aaghhh!"

Ripples of visible sound waves pulsed outward.

The Archangel Flame, which had been charging forward, was suddenly repelled, its momentum shattered by the force.

"Human, leave now. If you go, I will overlook your intrusion into my domain."

The Twin Witch's body trembled. The leaves wrapped around it rustled violently as its bright yellow eyes fixated on Sakeer—full of fear.

Yet, deep within those terrified pupils, there was something else—

Disappointment.

It had expected more.

If the human was strong enough to wipe out the five great Lizardman tribes, then why…

Whoosh!

Before it could finish her thought, the misty head protruding from its chest continued to emerge.

And then—

A second figurefully detached from its body, landing lightly on the ground.

"Sister, your voice is unbearable."

The new figure, wrapped in a dense shroud of white mist, slowly stood up.

Its tone was weak, almost frail, yet there was an unmistakable edge to its voice.

For the first time—

Sakeer now faced two distinct figures:

One shrouded in leaves, the other enveloped in mist.

"So this is what you truly look like."

Sakeer's gaze swept over them, his face betraying a flicker of surprise before he spoke in a calm, even tone.

"Leave? That's not impossible. Hand over the Lizardmen's treasure."

The Mist Witch let out a hoarse sneer, her yellow eyes gleaming with resentment.

"So that's what you're after… the Magic Cauldron."

Her voice darkened.

"Then die, human!"

With a piercing shriek, the Mist Witch lunged forward, throwing herself toward the Archangel Flame standing between her and Sakeer.

Her body, still shrouded in swirling mist, moved with an unnatural lightness.

"Magic Armor!"

The Emerald Leaf Witch lifted a hand, conjuring a green glow that enveloped the Mist Witch, forming a layer of protective magic.

Swoosh!

The Archangel Flame swung its flaming sword, slashing at the Mist Witch.

But—

The blade struck the Magic Armor, dispersing in a flash of protective light.

The Archangel readied another strike—

Yet, the Mist Witch did not retreat.

Instead, she continued to dive toward it, faster than before.

In an instant!

The Mist Witch's body collided with the Archangel Flame's silver armor—

Or so it seemed.

Instead of an impact—

Her mist-shrouded form phased straight through the armor, vanishing inside the angel's body!

The Archangel Flamestiffened.

Then—

Without hesitation, it turned and charged toward Sakeer!

Sakeer's eyes flickered as he quickly scanned his attribute panel.

No warnings. No system notifications.

His frown deepened.

The Twin Witches' abilities were strange. Their level didn't seem particularly high, yet their powers were unlike anything he had encountered before.

What kind of race are they?

Whoosh!

The Archangel Flame at Sakeer's side flared its wings and rushed forward, intercepting the possessed Archangel Flame.

"Weaken!"

The Emerald Leaf Witch raised her hand, releasing a magical glow.

The moment the light struck—

The Archangel Flame battling the Mist Witchslowed down significantly, its movements turning sluggish.

SLASH!

SLASH!

The possessed Archangel Flame took advantage of the weakness—unleashing a flurry of slashes.

Within moments—

The weakened angel was cut down, its body dissolving into white motes of light.

The Mist Witch, still in control of the remaining Archangel Flame, turned her attention back to Sakeer.

She pressed forward.

Sakeer scoffed, shaking his sleeve.

"An interesting ability... But if this is all you can do, this battle is over."

FLASH!

A blinding white light erupted in the forest.

Then—

A towering figure, three meters tall, materialized in front of Sakeer.

A new summon.

This one wielded a massive shield in its left hand and a short hammer in its right—

Principality Observation.

"Holy Strike."

The Principality Observation raised its short hammer, its body blurring as it teleported forward—

And in an instant—

It was upon the possessed Archangel Flame!

A crushing force descended.

For the first time—

The Mist Witch's face contorted with fear.

"Weaken!"

"Giant Magic!"

Two voices rang out simultaneously.

The Emerald Leaf Witch's spell struck first, slowing down the Principality Observation's hammer strike.

At the same time—

The possessed Archangel Flame began to expand, its form growing larger in an attempt to withstand the incoming attack.

BOOM!

The hammer and flaming swordclashed with an earth-shaking impact.

A shockwave exploded outward—

Leaves scattered from trees, and even the distant fog was momentarily dispersed.

Yet—

The Archangel Flame, despite its reinforced size, lasted only a moment before being completely obliterated—

Bursting into white light particles.

And from within the explosion—

The Mist Witch was violently flung backward, crashing into the ground.

She coughed up a mouthful of blood, her fog dissipating.

For the first time—

Her true body was revealed.

A pale-skinned, slender subhuman lay before Sakeer.

Her figure bore a resemblance to humans, but her sharp ears and twisted features gave her an unnerving appearance.

At first glance—

She almost resembled a Naga.

But—

Her lower body wasn't serpentine.

Instead—

She possessed legs, just like a human.

Sakeer stared at the figure before him, and a single thought flashed through his mind—

Banshee.

But almost immediately, he dismissed it.

This creature—whatever it was—was not the same as the banshees found in legend.

Ding!

Just then, a string of notifications surfaced on his attribute panel—

[Class Skill Discovered: "Giant Magic"]

- Requires basic caster class: Witch.

- Current conditions: Not met.

[Your profession "Genius" has successfully transformed.]

[Learning conditions met. Consume 1 skill point to learn?]

Witch?

Sakeer frowned slightly.

Among the caster classes he had already mastered, there was "Wizard."

And now—"Witch."

Two different paths.

But what caught his attention most was the direct opposition between their class skills.

"Giant Magic" belonged to Witches.

"Shrink" belonged to Wizards.

Both were spiritual casters, yet their abilities countered each other perfectly.

A thought crossed his mind—

"Learn."

The moment he acquired the skill, Sakeer prepared to press the Twin Witches further, intent on uncovering the whereabouts of the Lizardmen's Magic Cauldron.

But then—

Something shifted.

The magic within his body suddenly became unstable, churning like an unseen force was stirring from deep within.

An immense energy began to build.

And then—

The attribute panel trembled.

[High-Level Class Conditions Met!]

A low hum resonated through his mind.

[Requirements for High-Level Class Unlocked!]

Magic Caster: Lv 15

Faith Caster: Lv 15

Spirit Caster: Lv 15

Other Caster Type: Lv 15

[All four caster categories at Lv 15—high-level profession unlocked: "Mad Magician"!]

[Would you like to change your profession?]

Sakeer froze in place.

A high-level class… appearing at a time like this?!

He had expected that unlocking a powerful profession would be a momentous occasion, requiring extensive preparation—

Yet here it was, arising amidst battle, completely catching him off guard.

"AAAHHHH!"

A pained shriek pierced through the air.

Sakeer's gaze snapped forward.

The Mist Witch, who had been sent flying by the Principality Observation's attack, was writhing in agony.

Blood gushed from her mouth as she clutched her stomach, her entire body trembling violently.

"Sister!"

The Emerald Leaf Witchrushed over, her voice filled with panic.

Without hesitation, she pulled out a small, cloudy glass bottle, its contents swirling ominously.

She quickly uncorked it and poured it into the Mist Witch's mouth.

Sakeer narrowed his eyes.

Something is wrong.

The Principality Observation's attack had been powerful, but it shouldn't have caused this level of suffering.

And yet—

The Mist Witch's pained screams weren't merely cries of injury.

They sounded… different.

Like something else was happening.

Then—

Sakeer's eyes widened.

An expression of pure disbelief appeared on his face.

Before him—

The Mist Witch's stomachbegan to bulge unnaturally.

Rapidly.

Her once-flat abdomenswelled at an alarming rate, stretching grotesquely.

"AAAAAHHHH!!"

She let out another ear-piercing shriek, her body convulsing in unspeakable agony.

But then—

A new horror emerged.

A sickly green huespread beneath her pale skin, radiating outward like a poisonous infection.

And then—

RIP!

Her stomach tore open.

And from within the gaping wound—

A grotesque, slime-covered creaturecrawled out.

Its body dripped with translucent liquid, its skin slick and amphibian-like.

Its massive, fist-sized eyes were filled with blank confusion as it staggered forward.

A Frogman.

Born not from eggs—not from the waters—but from inside the body of another race!

Sakeer felt a wave of dizziness.

This must be an illusion.

A Frogman… being born like this?!

It defied everything he knew!

By nature, Frogmen were not mammals—

They were supposed to begin life as tadpoles, growing and transforming over time.

Their unique biology was precisely why they lacked traditional races, family structures, and inherited classes.

But this—

This was something entirely different.

Then—

Frogman…

Sakeer's gaze darkened.

A cold realization hit him.

"You can't kill the Frogman."

That phrase—uttered by the Cavelizard before its death—echoed in his mind.

Had the Twin Witches deliberately provoked him, orchestrating this entire encounter?

And now, seeing this horrifying scene before him—

Could it be…?

His instincts screamed at him.

Without hesitation, the Principality Observation, still hovering above, immediately retreated to his side.

At the same time—

Sakeer unsealed a third-tier magic scroll.

BANG!

A flash of white light erupted.

From the depths of the radiance—

An Archangel Flame emerged, immediately lifting its flaming sword and lunging toward the newborn Frogman.

But—

BOOM!

Before the Archangel could even close the distance, a blinding blue thunderball shot out from the shadows of the dense forest.

It streaked through the air—

CRACKLE!

And struck the Archangel Flame head-on.

BOOM!

The Archangel shattered on impact, its body disintegrating into motes of white light.

Then—

A voice emerged from the depths of the forest.

Cold. Disgusted.

"The people of the Slane Theocracy are as annoying as ever."

A shadowed figure loomed beyond the trees.

"Surprised, are you?

This… this is a great masterpiece.

You should feel honored to witness the birth of a new life with your own eyes!"
