Chapter 65 - Tombstone Instantly Defeated

Peter sighed, watching Miles's bewildered expression.

This guy was a complete troublemaker!

First, he accidentally stumbled into the battlefield between Blonde Spider-Man, Kingpin, and his men, distracting Blonde Spider-Man and causing him to get injured, which ultimately led to his death at Kingpin's hands.

Then, he broke the overload key that Blonde Spider-Man had entrusted to him before his death, which was supposed to shut down the particle collider.

And now, after just returning home, he'd brought the enemy here.

Even if Kingpin and his men had originally thought Aunt May was no longer a threat and wouldn't attack her, Miles's arrival could potentially bring trouble to Aunt May!

If he didn't know Miles was inherently good-natured, he'd suspect he was an enemy spy!

He hadn't done anything good, but he kept causing one mishap after another.

This was also before Peter knew about his experience with Amazing Spider-Man B at Ockmax Labs, otherwise, that would be added to the list.

It was pretty ridiculous.

Peter remembered what Amazing Spider-Man B had told him not long ago: With great power comes great responsibility; it's a gift, but also a curse!

Miles was also bitten by a mutated spider and possessed Spider-Man's abilities.

Could this be his curse?

Constantly getting into mischief and causing trouble for those around him?

Em, does this suddenly feel weirdly familiar?

It was as if, when he first got the Glowing Web, a voice in his mind was accusing him: Other Spider-Men solve problems, but he creates them!

His Spider-Sense told him that the voice was talking about him.

Did this mean that, without the existence of the Glowing Web, he would be like this anyway?

"I, um, I..." Miles knew how to admit his mistakes, understanding that Peter wouldn't pick on him for no reason.

Peter released him, placing two web-shooters into his hands: "I'm giving you these on behalf of Blonde Spider-Man. Since he had high hopes for you in life, hoping you could shoulder his responsibilities. In the future, New York will need you to protect it."

Peter had also come to a decision.

Since he couldn't revive Blonde Spider-Man, he could only nurture Miles.

That way, at least if he were to disconnect from this world permanently someday, there would still be someone to continue acting as Spider-Man.

Of course, it would depend on Miles' own willingness.

Fortunately, based on the current situation, Miles's desire to be Spider-Man was as strong as his own.

"Tell me, what did you find?" Peter looked at the distant street, his Spider-Sense frantically tingling.

Blonde Spider-Man's instinctive Spider-Sense was indeed more powerful than his. Even in his current, not-fully-recovered state, he could sense the impending danger from such a distance.

Miles trembled, "My uncle, Aaron, is the Prowler. He works for Kingpin. He wants to kill me!"

Peter frowned slightly, pointing at the distance, "That's your uncle?"

In the distance, a motorcycle rumbled toward them, ridden by a man in a gray-black suit with silver-gray skin.

"No, no, that's not him. My uncle wears purple clothes," Miles quickly shook his head.

Peter blinked, and memories flooded back.

Oh, it wasn't the Prowler, but rather an old acquaintance of Blonde Spider-Man.

Tombstone.

Tombstone, whose real name was Lonnie Thompson Lincoln, was one of the heads of the underworld gangs that had long been entrenched in Hell's Kitchen, and was also a capable subordinate of Kingpin.

He was originally Black, but he suffered from albinism from a young age, so he was often ridiculed by those around him, and because of this growing environment, he gradually embarked on his current path.

In school, he used his strong body to extort his classmates - which made Blonde Spider-Man think of his school bully, Flash.

Seeing this, this Peter from the fragment was stunned for a moment. Luckily, the Flash over there was just a goofy guy who liked to seek attention and wasn't very good at fighting.

Later, Lonnie went further and further down the path of crime, and even took the name "Tombstone" for himself, and continued his criminal activities for nearly 30 years.

During a criminal operation, he was locked in a room filled with a preservative gas called Diox-3.

This special chemical agent mutated his body, giving him skin as tough as steel and incredible speed. He could also withstand extreme temperatures, massive impacts, and even attacks from large-caliber bullets.

His previously pale skin had also turned a metallic silver-gray.

Blonde Spider-Man had often clashed with Kingpin and wasn't intimidated by him.

Peter's gaze scanned the street back and forth.

Just Tombstone coming to cause trouble was underestimating them.

Given Kingpin's usual caution, he wouldn't do something so foolish.

Sure enough, a moment later, Peter spotted two familiar figures in a car not far behind Tombstone.

"Doctor Octopus" Olivia Liv Octavius.

"Kingpin" Wilson Fisk!

They were all familiar faces to Blonde Spider-Man.

Kingpin, of course, needed no introduction.

Doctor Octopus had once been Blonde Peter's quantum physics mentor during his school days, and Blonde Spider-Man had even interned at Ockmax Labs for over a year, assisting her.

He had once admired her seriousness and rigor when it came to science.

But later, he discovered that Doctor Octopus's seriousness bordered on obsession, even to the point of disregarding consequences.

He hadn't seen the Prowler, the one Miles had mentioned.

Since they meant trouble, he would take the initiative!

Peter saw Miles was busy attaching two web-shooters to his wrists, so he let him take his time.

Whoosh—

A web shot out, sticking to a streetlight across the street.

Tombstone was riding his motorcycle very fast. Even if he had noticed the web, he probably wouldn't have had time to dodge it.

Boom!

The next second, he was directly bound by the web and the motorcycle flipped over, skidding a long way before stopping.

Tombstone's entire body was flung into the air, flipping forward.

He was a bit dazed.

Although he hadn't had hot pot, he was humming a little tune, going 70 miles per hour, and feeling carefree.

Didn't expect to be suddenly tied up by something the next second!

What did he do to deserve this?

However, before he could even hit the ground, Peter reached out with his other hand, and a web attached to Tombstone's body, pulling it hard.

Bang! A fist the size of a sandbag slammed squarely into Tombstone's face, smashing him from the sky directly into the concrete ground.

Tombstone's hard, steel-like head directly smashed a large pit into the ground.

Snap! Peter slowly stood up, stepping on Tombstone's head, which was slightly exposed above the road surface, and beckoned with a finger towards the extended Lincoln parked not far away.

"Since you're here, why hide? Mr. Fisk, and Doctor Octavius!"
