Chapter 130 - Solving Venom

Plop!

A drop of black liquid dripped from somewhere on his body.

Two drops, three drops…Thick, black, viscous fluid kept sliding off Peter, gradually pooling beneath his feet.

This was the Venom symbiote.

It had finally come out.

Peter was drenched in sweat from head to toe, his face a bit pale.

He realized that as the Venom symbiote continued to fall away, the strength in his body was actually fading bit by bit as well.

One minute, two minutes…Another five minutes passed, and the symbiote at his feet had already gathered into a large puddle.

But starting from one minute ago, not a single drop of black liquid had come out since.

Even so, Peter made no move to call it off.

He had a strange feeling.

He felt the Venom symbiote wasn't completely purged yet.

Could part of it still be hidden inside his body?

Memories surged through Peter's mind as he desperately tried to recall everything he knew about the Venom symbiote.

After carefully reviewing his changes before and after, he was ninety percent certain that the symbiote had secretly attached itself to him during his trip to the Earth-92131 universe.

He compared his situation to the Bully Maguire version and the '94 Spider-Man version when they were bonded with the symbiote.

Before that point, he hadn't shown any signs of personality change.

Of course, it was also possible that the symbiote had hidden itself very well and simply hadn't influenced him until recently.

That possibility wasn't impossible.

It depended on what kind of form this particular Venom symbiote took.

For example, the one from the Bully Spider-Man universe didn't really have its own consciousness—it only "amplified" its host.

If it were that type, then in theory it wouldn't have the intelligence to hide itself.

But the '94 Spider-Man's symbiote did have its own mind—able even to clearly transmit its own thoughts.

Regardless of which was stronger, this at least proved that even among symbiotes, differences existed.

The former leaned more toward "symbiosis," while the latter behaved more like an "independent entity."

One could only exist by relying on the host; the other might even devour the host instead.

Yet after Peter clenched his teeth and endured several more minutes inside the sonic array, not even the slightest trace of the symbiote emerged.

"Was it just my imagination?" Peter wondered, finally giving up.

If this couldn't force it out, then either he was mistaken, or the sonic attack no longer worked on it.

Continuing like this was meaningless.

He just needed to monitor his emotional changes over the next period of time.

If there really was any residue left, he would definitely notice it immediately as long as he stayed alert.

Peter forced his feet free from the sticky pool of symbiote goo and stepped toward the opening between the Iron Man armor units.

"No!"

Behind him, the Venom symbiote desperately tried to struggle up from the floor, as if begging Peter to stay.

But Peter, cold and indifferent like a man entering post-clarity mode, walked forward without hesitation. No matter how the symbiote tried to cling to him from behind, he had no intention of stopping.

Stark halted his sonic output and had another mass-production suit take over the sound waves. He himself hurried forward to support Peter.

"How do you feel?"

"I'm okay. Just… hungry," Peter said, rubbing his stomach.

Stark's expression grew thoughtful. "Based on your description, maybe part of the symbiote had already fused into your body. And when we separated it just now, it was essentially like cutting off part of you. The fusion rate seems way too fast. You really should have come to me earlier."

By the end of his words, Stark's tone had grown stern—clearly still angry that Peter kept trying to handle things on his own.

Peter forced a small smile.

After stripping off the symbiote, he felt extremely weak—maybe even weaker than before.

Of course, it could simply be because his body was too exhausted right now.

"What do you want to do with it?" Stark gestured to the Venom symbiote still inside the sonic chamber.

It was still being hit by the sonic waves, limp on the ground like a pile of Muk from Pokémon.

"Hmm…" Peter frowned deeply.

Should he do what the Bully Spider-Man did—just toss in a bomb and send it to heaven?

Or go the '94 route and strap it to a rocket, launching it into space?

"It's too dangerous. Better to just blow it up," Peter said after careful consideration.

Stark nodded.

Several Iron Man suits all opened their back compartments.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—

Dozens of micro-missiles saturated the small area with full-scale bombardment.

After that, the suits continued their sonic output while using the laser weapons on their other arms to sweep the area clean.

When the smoke finally dispersed, only a cratered section of flooring remained. The cement had been blasted apart, revealing the thick steel plating underneath.

As for the Venom symbiote—already reduced to nothing.

"Come on, take a shower first. Then get something to eat," Iron Man said, already arranging everything.

Peter then learned that he actually had a personal reserved room in the new Avengers base.

Not only was the room filled with clothes, but multiple Spider-Man suits had been stored there as well.

There were even web-shooters, mini spider drones, and various other support gadgets, all fully equipped.

Peter took a long, refreshing shower, feeling the fatigue wash away.

Not long after he finished, his food arrived.

Peter didn't hold back at all—he devoured everything.

He already owed Stark so much he couldn't even count it—what difference did one more meal make?

His enhanced metabolism quickly broke down the food and converted it into energy.

By the time he cleared several large steaks, a pile of sandwiches, and chugged numerous glasses of milk, his body had recovered to about seventy to eighty percent.

With the Venom problem solved, Peter felt light all over.

Unfortunately, the first nano Spider-Suit he had ever made himself had been fused with the symbiote—and had vanished along with it moments ago.

So Peter could only "tearfully" take another Spider-Suit from the closet, attach the web-shooters, and bid farewell to Tony Stark.

Truthfully, he wanted to rest in his allotted "work housing," but before the symbiote hijacked his body, he'd been sleeping at home.

If he didn't go back tonight and Aunt May woke up tomorrow morning to find him gone—he'd be dead.

Tony Stark felt this kid was a real headache.

So he simply sent one of his Iron Man suits to wrap around Peter and fly him home, letting him experience the full Iron Man treatment.
