"Not good, protect the High Evolutionary!" Ursula, the bear-woman, stood up from the ground, patted her head, and had just recovered some of her spirits when she saw the High Evolutionary being knocked away by Peter.
She rushed over here immediately.
John Jameson blocked her.
The two of them, a man and a bear, wrestled together.
Blumray also picked up a weapon from the base and was entangled with Sir Ram.
As for Mrs. Fulmin, the rat-woman, she was entangled by the Bandaged Man.
Tiger King hesitated for a moment, but ultimately didn't make a move.
He did respect the High Evolutionary, his creator, but the High Evolutionary's insane idea of destroying all humans was something he absolutely couldn't agree with.
Perhaps Spider-Man defeating his creator would be a good thing.
The Tiger King thought to himself.
Peter didn't care what they thought.
He seized the opportunity, using his web to pull the High Evolutionary up, while simultaneously rushing forward at high speed.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of rapid aerial combos.
Peter had the High Evolutionary completely locked in the air, unable to fall.
And with his conscious control, the High Evolutionary's attempts to use his hands to release his energy attacks were forcibly interrupted.
The sturdy armor on him was also pierced by Peter's punches.
Finally, Peter slammed a heavy punch onto the High Evolutionary's neck.
With a crack.
The High Evolutionary's neck was directly broken, turning into a corpse that fell from the sky!
Plop!
Peter landed lightly on the ground, exhaling a breath of turbid air.
Peter's heart was no longer stirred by his repeated killing.
The High Evolutionary, a villain who wanted to destroy all humans and achieve a dictatorial rule, deserved to die many times over.
"No, Creator!" Sir Ram shouted, before being shot in the chest by Blumray and falling into a pool of blood.
Ursula and Mrs. Fulmin also stopped fighting.
The two people they were fighting against also stepped back when they saw this.
Unlike the extremist Sir Ram, these two weren't as aggressive.
Obviously, they also had some doubts about the High Evolutionary's decision.
It's just that they didn't have their own opinions and didn't dare to oppose the High Evolutionary directly like the Tiger King.
Or maybe they were afraid of death.
The Tiger King, who had been standing by the door watching, showed a hint of sorrow in his eyes.
He walked forward.
Blumray raised his gun, aiming it at him.
John Jameson pushed the barrel down and shook his head.
Tiger King ignored their actions and went to the High Evolutionary's corpse, kneeling on one knee: "Your Majesty, the Creator, you gave me, who was once ignorant, wisdom. You gave me a higher value for my existence, but I cannot agree with your ideas, so I could only stand by and watch. Now, I am willing to give my life back to you, let me go with you."
With that, Tiger King raised the laser gun in his hand and aimed it at his own head.
Just as he was about to pull the trigger, Peter used his web to snatch the laser gun away.
He came to Tiger King's side: "Sir Tiger King, you can't just die like this."
"What do you want to say, Spider-Man?" Tiger King stared at Peter.
"The High Evolutionary is dead, but the proper order cannot be destroyed. Although you are a flesh-eating tiger, you have a compassionate and merciful heart," Peter said, turning to John Jameson and Blumray, "Perhaps, you can work with them to establish a brand-new order, a brand-new world."
"A New World"
"That's right, a world where humans and animal people live in harmony! Isn't that what you hoped for?" Peter countered.
The Tiger King was silent.
Blumray frowned, seemingly pondering Peter's words.
John Jameson looked thoughtful.
Buzz~ Just then, Peter's Spider-Sense suddenly went haywire.
"Uh oh, I think you need to see this first!" A somewhat familiar voice echoed through the base.
Super Spider-Man's memories told him that the voice belonged to Karen O'Malley, the female leader of the rebels, who possessed abilities seemingly innate and more powerful than ordinary people.
Previously, she had been captured by the High Evolutionary, and she hadn't expected to be imprisoned in this base as well.
"Karen, what do you see?" John Jameson asked.
Karen O'Malley shouted, "Go over to the window, I'll open the window on the flying platform and take a look myself."
As she spoke, the metal wall beside them slowly rose.
Peter and the others walked over.
"Strange, when did Venom and Carnage disappear?" Peter asked.
John Jameson shook his head. "Probably when our attention was all drawn to the High Evolutionary just now."
"I feel like this might be related to them. What exactly is the secret manual?" Peter murmured.
As he spoke, the window of the flying platform had completely opened.
The base was built on the highest point in all of New York City, hundreds of meters above the ground.
But at this moment, from this angle, they could see tentacles-like things emerging from the soil, shooting straight into the sky!
"What is that!" John Jameson and the others were dumbfounded.
Peter's eyes widened.
When he saw this thing, he felt a tremor in his soul.
A strange feeling was growing wildly in his consciousness.
It was the sensation released by the second-generation Venom Symbiote!
Symbiotes!
These world-shaking tentacles are actually Symbiotes!
What is this?
A picture flashed in Peter's mind.
It was shortly after Spider-Man first arrived on Counter-Earth.
Underneath New York City, there was a gigantic "Hive"!
It was said that long ago, during the age of dinosaurs, the Symbiote Hive had come to Counter-Earth. They parasitized the dinosaurs, coexisting harmoniously under the guidance of the Hive's collective consciousness.
Until a natural disaster struck.
This disaster not only caused the extinction of the dinosaurs but also caused the Symbiote Hive to fall to the center of the earth.
Thus, the Symbiote Hive silently took root in the center of Counter-Earth, until the arrival of Venom and Carnage!
Venom and Carnage activated the Symbiote Hive, breeding new Symbiotes, capturing humans and animal-people to be parasitized and controlled, forming their Symbiote Army.
The good news is that most of these Symbiotes, bred by the Symbiote Hive, are similar to the facehuggers in Alien.
Their main effect is to parasitize and control the target, but they can't significantly enhance the target's abilities like Venom and Carnage – perhaps because the Symbiote Hive doesn't have records of powerful genes like Spider-Man's.
After all, Venom is so strong because he previously parasitized Spider-Man.
And Carnage was born from Venom, inheriting the abilities Venom gained from Spider-Man.
Could it be that the Symbiote Hive is the secret manual Venom and Carnage were talking about?
Were they also at Counter-Earth because of this?
