Somewhere on a planet far beyond the Milky Way Galaxy, devastation and ruin reigned. Corpses of its natural inhabitants lay lifeless upon its surface, all mutilated beyond recognition. The entire planet's ecosystem had been erased, leaving behind only a barren wasteland where life had once flourished.
The last remaining survivor was the planet's former ruler. A dragon, an Ascendant alien creature, lay bound upon its surface. Massive rods forged from comet fragments pierced its two sets of wings, pinning them firmly to the ground.
"Humans…" The creature's voice was weak, barely perceptible. Just like its wings, its lower jaw had been driven into the earth by a pole.
Nevertheless, anger overrode its pain, allowing it to speak in a shaky voice.
"You barged into my lands… killed my kind, and if that is not enough… you slowly deal wounds, manipulating the amount of spiritual energy I emit, all to aid you in your cultivation. Heed my words…your actions will not go unpunished!"
