Michael and Gabriel spent some time talking. Their discussions largely consisted of mundane things.
It wasn't enough to bridge the gap that the time spent apart had formed between them. Still, it was a nice start toward forging a new relationship between a father and a son.
"But still a King? I can hardly believe it…" Gabriel exhaled deeply, his back resting against the golden tree.
"So… is this the end? The peak? An old man doesn't know much about cultivation and all that, but I can guess that only the Emperor realm, which is supposed to be the cap, remains."
Michael didn't answer immediately, his eyes reminiscing about his past life.
"The Emperor… Do you think that's our limit? As far as humankind can go?" He asked.
His father raised an eyebrow, studying his son.
"I mean… is it not?" He reasoned. "Even before the moment of my birth, the Emperor has always been at the top, standing unchallenged like a God."
