Jugo didn't leave the village of sound, but he used his intangible state to appear a few hundred meters from the village of sound, over an open field, he sensed what he was looking for, a soul.
The next moment, he penetrated the ground without any hindrance, moments later, a white figure with green hair slowly emerged from the ground, with a smile very similar to Jugo's.
There were several of these guys searching for information throughout the Ninja world, including at Orochimaru's hideout. If it weren't for the fact that Orochimaru could sense them if they got too close, they would have already entered the village.
Jugo, who could sense souls after advancing to sequence 5, found him easily, but he never moved against him, waiting for the right moment.
This moment was now.
Jugo first possessed the White Zetsu, then merged with its flesh. Due to Hashirama's cells in his body, he absorbed that Zetsu very easily, with that, he was very happy to acquire the Mayfly technique.
It wasn't even difficult, he could already do that with Hashirama's cells, he just didn't know how. Now he's learned easily.
Not only that technique, but his transformation could now also rival that of a Zetsu, he only needed a small amount of a target's chakra and could perfectly transform into them.
Finally, the last technique he mastered was the Spore Technique, creating spores that do not possess chakra, so they are difficult to detect. He can control them remotely to absorb the target's chakra and create a wood-style clone.
Jugo had wanted to absorb a Zetsu for a long time, but he didn't want to warn the snake. Now? Who cares?
Jugo transformed himself into Zetsu's appearance using Zetsu's transformation ability, now, not even another Zetsu could tell he was a fake.
The next moment, Jugo disappeared as he transformed into a spirit.
Even though he didn't want to go after Madara yet, he had already left several coins along the way, so he began teleporting through the coins at high speed.
Even though the Mayfly technique was extremely fast, compared to teleportation, it was like comparing a hare to a tortoise.
So, it took him less than a minute to reach the mountain cemetery, after all, it was right next to the land of sound.
The place seemed silent and empty, the bones of giant creatures were clearly visible everywhere. Jugo wondered what kind of beasts they belonged to, some were much larger than the tailed beasts, something that might have belonged to Junbi.
Assuming that natural energy already existed, the true owners of this planet in ancient times may have been the beasts that learned to harness energy from nature, growing to impressive heights.
Did this world truly belong to ninjas? Could there still be some creature from ancient times sleeping out there, something so catastrophic that even Junbi would seem like a baby in comparison? Perhaps there was much more, but Jugo has no way of finding out now.
"Jugo Zetsu" calmly surveyed the area, then looked at the enormous mountain in the distance and sank into the ground, using Mayfly to descend deeper and deeper, searching for something that shouldn't be there. He sensed other Zetsus, many more, deep within this place, they resembled stars at night, clustered in hundreds of thousands of clusters.
Everyone was motionless, probably in a dormant state. Jugo moved carefully, avoiding that area, instead began searching the rooms.
Jugo found several things, including a room with the Uchiha Fan and dozens of pairs of 3-tomoe Sharingan eyes in glass jars. He didn't touch any of it. If Madara's body was in a separate hidden room, even if he took it, Obito wouldn't easily notice.
That mountain was enormous, with more branches than he could have imagined, but after more than an hour, he finally found what he was looking for.
In a separate room, hidden down a corridor, he sensed a different kind of spirituality.
it was weak, but he was there. He entered the room, curious and there he found a coffin, a stone coffin covered in seals. If it weren't for his Wraith ability, being able to see even where there was no light, he would have had to light a torch to see.
He approached and looked at the seals, with his current knowledge, he saw the purpose of the seals at a glance, to preserve the contents inside.
Relieved that it wasn't an alarm, he transformed into a Wraith and entered the coffin.
Just to come face to face with a corpse with long white hair, the smell wasn't good, of course, but as a zombie, even the worst stench of rot wouldn't make him wince.
Instead, sensing the spirituality of the corpse, a smile appeared on his face.
Even without a Rinnegan, the cadaver still possessed tremendous spirituality, one could sense the cadaver's superior life force.
Unfortunately, he wasn't quite at the level of an angel, but one corpse in sequence 4 was enough for him, the next moment, he possessed the corpse.
Madara's aged corpse opened his eyes, the Sharingan he was using before he died was still there, so Jugo could still see through his eyes. Unfortunately, unlike the eyes of a Wraith, even a three-tomoe Sharingan cannot see without light.
Jugo used the Corpse Wood Style to perform the Mayfly Technique, causing the corpse to sink into the ground like a puppet. No matter how degraded Madara's body was, Jugo was still able to move it with flexibility. As soon as he exited the mountains, he got out of the corpse, placed it on his shoulder, and used Mirror Teleportation to move quickly towards the Hidden Sound Village.
It took a few minutes, but he arrived at a separate, hidden room in the village, only he could enter. There, a set of items was already prepared.
Jugo lit the candles and began to pray, using a classic sacrificial ritual, the next moment, he felt a pang through his connection to the Tenebrous World.
He entered the Tenebrous World and accepted the sacrifice, opening the illusory black doors and finding the altar set up by Jugo, with Jugo in Zetsu form visible with his eyes closed and Madara's corpse in front of him.
He waved his hand and a strong suction was created, the corpse flew straight down, landing in the Tenebrous World.
Jugo smiled, here, Madara's body would never be taken.
Waving his hand, a black coffin formed around Madara's body, preventing its spirituality from leaking out, which was then placed behind his throne, ready for future use.
With that, Jugo finally managed to breathe a sigh of relief, now at least the path to Sequence 4 was in sight. He only hoped that neither Obito nor Black Zetsu would realize that Madara's body had been taken.
Judging that Kabuto wasn't discovered when he entered the Mountain Cemetery, he expected Obito and Zetsu to stay in the Rain Village and not check something that should be "impossible" to find.
The only other variable in this plan was Zetsu's death, but judging by the fact that news of Jugo's release of the wood would spread quickly, they might think he managed to find Zetsu through it.
Finally... Jugo's paranoid side soon calmed down and instead he reverted to his original form, before transforming into Wraith and leaving the room.
