What Chained Jugo felt this time were two different things. The first was a sensation of exaggerated expansion, strange voices flowing in his mind like the whispers of a demon. If he were just a prisoner, there could have been catastrophic effects, but instead it was just a soft voice and a feeling reminiscent of an upset stomach that lasted only a fraction of a second.
The second one was as if the potion was trying to take something away from him, more specifically, his inhibitions, affection, conscience, morals... all of that seemed to want to be pulled away from him, but it was like watching a baby trying to lift an elephant, Chained Jugo felt that even without the Bind the effect wouldn't have worked on him.
Abyss Jugo, on the other hand, felt his strength and chakra grow even more, not only that, but some abilities seemed to flow through his mind, though he ignored them for now.
Without hesitation, he pulled sequence 7 from the Abyss Pathway, Serial Killer.
This time, Chained Jugo only felt the effect of absorbing a potion before it finished working, and it was even stronger than the first time! Doing that once is dangerous, but twice? It's asking for death. Fortunately, besides the heartburn effect lasting a little longer, that was it.
Abyss Jugo, on the other hand, felt his strength and chakra grow much more this time, still far from his peak, but better than before.
His physique had also changed since Sequence 8, his canines had become sharper, as had his nails, but he felt he could control it even without using his Kekkei Genkai.
When he entered sequence 7, he felt his body temperature rise sharply, as if there were boiling lava in his veins instead of blood, but this sensation only lasted a moment.
It wasn't that he had returned to normal, but he had become accustomed to the new internal heat. This heat wouldn't normally change much and could be controlled, but he felt it could grow stronger as he increased his body temperature, although not by much, and the "hotter" he became, the more demonic his personality became.
Although Chained Jugo is currently responsible for dealing with this "mental chaos", in the future it will depend on him to handle it, so it's like a Berserker ability for rare moments, he probably won't even use it.
The knowledge he received this time was different from sequence 8, while sequence 8 seemed to draw power from within, sequence 7 seemed to draw it from without.
The knowledge he acquired upon becoming a serial killer was basically related to praying to demons and asking for power, pleasing them through rituals related to murder, requesting power, or even invoking a demonic projection from the abyss.
The greatest irony was that Chained Jugo could be considered a demon, and through this, Abyss Jugo felt that he didn't even need to perform a ritual, simply asking for help could directly summon a projection, but the cost of the summoning would be the devil himself, that is, Chained Jugo.
Of course, this ability didn't make much sense to either of them, except Chained Jugo could practically get anywhere in the world before a summoning ritual was complete, so unless Abyss Jugo ended up on another plane, it didn't make much sense.
Furthermore, since both were connected to the Tenebrous World, the Chained Jugo could appear alongside the Abyss Jugo at any time, even in another dimension, as long as they remained connected to the Tenebrous World.
Aside from those abilities, the only other good thing about this Sequence was being able to interfere with divination and spirit channeling, but that wasn't very useful in this world, so... this Sequence was practically just a general upgrade.
Sequence 9 didn't offer much good either, besides enhanced physical attributes and heightened instincts that grew as the sequence progressed, and an exaggerated knowledge of how to kill with any type of weapon.
He just needs to pick up a gun and that's it, he instantly discovers a thousand ways to use it to kill someone.
It was very similar to Prisoner sequence 9, but while the prisoner was a master at using random objects as weapons, the criminal was a master at using weapons to kill.
Unlike a Weapon Master from the Twilight Giant pathway, who was more focused on combat, whether attacking, defending, dodging, or countering, the Weapon Master could use weapons for a true fight in any aspect.
The Criminal, on the other hand, focused exclusively on how to kill, for him, a quick, precise, and efficient attack was the objective. Perhaps only an Assassin was better at killing than a Criminal in the same sequence.
Sequence 8, on the other hand, was much more useful, it gave him 3 different spells. These spells were unique to each Unwinged Angel, just as each Uchiha's Mangekyo Sharingan granted a unique power.
He didn't know if the spells depended on the Beyonder's mindset, but he felt that the spells he received suited him very well.
The first was called the Devil's Tongue, it possessed no real power to harm anyone, but Jugo could use it to sense lies, deceptions, half-truths, whoever spoke falsely in front of him, he could discern. Not only that, this ability also made him a great liar, his words could easily point directly to what would make the listener believe him.
The second is called Black Contract, it's a simple spell where two or more parties sign an agreement with a devil from the abyss as a "guarantor". The contract doesn't actually need to be written, but a verbal agreement sealed with a handshake is sufficient.
Anyone who fails to comply with this contract will have their soul taken by the guarantor.
In the world of LOTM, this spell is incredibly dangerous for either side, having a devil as guarantor means the devil would love to exploit any loophole to claim a soul.
The only ways to prevent this are to create a completely foolproof contract or to be stronger than the devil himself used as guarantor.
But in that world? Jugo could directly use Chained Jugo as guarantor, but what would Chained Jugo do? Would he take his own soul? In the end, the only ones bound by the Black Contract were the fools who accepted the deal.
The last spell was one of the most common among the Unwinged Angel's spells, a slowness spell, he only needed to raise and lower his arm towards the target, and the target would feel as if the air around them had turned into thick water. It was common, but not useless, at least, Jugo liked it.
[A/N: Most of the suggestions involved very broad and very powerful applications, which didn't really fit with a Sequence 8, unfortunately. The first two were based on the suggestions, the last one was because I thought the MC should have at least one generic power for a bit more realism. Thanks for the help.]
