Devil's most well-known ability among the official Beyonders is clearly their Sense of Danger.
Dealing with this is extremely difficult, even some Demigods who don't have a counter-ability for it can only let the Devil slip through their fingers every time.
A Sense of Danger allows Devils to sense the origin of danger, it's not like Spider-Man's danger sense that warns him at the last moment. No, the Devil can sense it the moment someone is acting against him.
Without the ability to hide those thoughts, it's basically impossible to catch a Devil. Of course, if you have enough power or luck, you might still manage it, but in the same sequence? Very difficult.
The best way to catch a Devil is to not know you want to catch it. It's like walking down the street, seeing a Devil, and deciding to attack. Although the Devil might sense it the moment you decide to attack, it's still much easier to deal with a Devil up close that hasn't had time to prepare.
The problem? This premonition of danger comes from the abyss, but in this world there is no abyss yet, meaning Toji is like a cell phone without a transmission antenna or satellite.
Normally, without the Abyss, he could only sense danger if it was nearby. Fortunately, there was another solution, the Tenebrous World. Although Toji didn't have the Abyss, with the Tenebrous World as a means, the reach increased to a much greater level than the Abyss could influence, to a universal level.
Toji smiled, he closed his eyes, feeling this ability.
There were 3 requirements for sensing danger, the first being the ability to do real harm to Toji, enough to threaten his life, which, frankly, was very difficult to achieve.
The second was that this existence was intended to cause harm within a specific timeframe and scope.
The third is action, the moment this existence begins to act, the Devil senses it.
The action doesn't mean a direct attack, but a specific action targeting the Devil. It's not the act of pointing the weapon at him, it's the act of moving to grab the weapon and point it at him.
No matter how many steps it takes to actually get to the act of "harming" the Devil, the Devil senses the will behind the action. For example, if you buy a weapon thinking about killing the Devil, he can sense it from the moment you leave home to do it.
[A/N: It's been a while since I read LOTM, sorry if there were any mistakes in this part.]
It's ridiculous, that's why it's so difficult to deal with these guys, well, Toji is one of them now.
The problem is that the people with the ability, intention, and action directed toward it are actually extremely limited.
Like those idiotic Daimyos who wanted to attack him, unfortunately they were too weak, the people they hired were too weak, in fact, even so, Toji still sensed a target in his Danger Sense.
Turning his awareness to "investigate", he saw a muscular figure with tanned skin and blond hair.
Toji was speechless. Why was that old idiot following him?
Shaking his head, Toji wasn't worried about it, the Raikage's threat to Toji was quite low. Although there was a minimal chance of Toji losing due to playing around too much, it was still such a small chance that the feeling he sensed coming from the Raikage was extremely weak.
Leaving that aside, Toji continued his tests, the next skill was Language of Foulness, a language straight from the abyss. Again, Toji could use the Tenebrous World as a source, making the spells even more powerful.
There were three spells based on specific demonic words for this: Slowness, Death, and Corruption.
The slowing effect is very similar to the previous demonic spell effect that Toji obtained in sequence 8, but this time it can affect multiple targets at once. Although the duration is only two seconds, the degree of slowing varies from numbness to complete stoppage, the effect itself depends on how strong and resistant the target is.
Death is a spell that causes the target's blood to rust and coagulate, victims will cough up clots of rusty blood and exhibit red rust marks on their skin. If the enemy cannot avoid or resist the effects of this spell, it can lead directly to death.
This ability causes the victim's heart to feel as if it is being squeezed tightly by an invisible hand as they die covered in red rust.
The final spell is corruption, an area-of-effect attack that can cause the target area and the individuals within it to begin showing signs and symptoms of corruption from the Abyss. In this case, it's even more dangerous if Toji uses it, it was a direct way to unleash the corruption of the Tenebrous World. Toji wouldn't use this unless he wanted to cause a global apocalypse.
In addition to these spells, there were other spells related to the initial mastery of fire, poison, and filth/foulness.
Sulfur Fireball, capable of launching up to 3 light blue fireballs that explode on contact and poison anything or anyone they touch.
Sword of Lava can conjure a giant lava sword resembling a scimitar with extremely high attack power, it is especially effective against uncorrupted living beings.
Flame Cage, as the name suggests, conjures an extremely resistant cage of flames to contain enemies.
These are just some of the many demonic spells granted in this sequel, there's also manipulation of poisonous flames, volcanic eruptions, highly toxic steam, and much more.
Finally, there is the Devil transformation, different from his Devil form, it's like an enhancement of the previous partial transformation. In this state, he becomes gigantic, gains bat wings, goat horns, his skin becomes opaque black, and his entire body appears to be covered in thick, resilient armor.
Toji tried, he grew to over three meters tall, his skin turned black with a layer of blue flames solidifying like lava around him, horns grew on his head and bat wings and a thin tail with a sharp tip grew on his back, his teeth and nails became sharp and his eyes turned into bright, blazing blue flames.
It seemed like a mix of his Devil form and the Devil transformation, in this form, his spells were even more powerful, with reduced limitations on his spells, such as the Sulfur Fireball, which he could now create dozens of at a time and even more powerful.
The surrounding ground heated up tremendously, even the air seemed to burn at that point. Toji felt incredibly powerful, but the problems also became evident.
This form was incredibly strong, but he felt as if his sanity was slowly slipping away, his desire to destroy growing rapidly.
A roar cut through the air as Toji, now in his Devil Transformation, let his chakra transform into a sea of poisonous blue flames around him, a ten-meter sword made of lava rapidly growing in his hands.
The roar rang out again as the Snake Clone frowned, sensing something was wrong, especially when Toji looked at him with those malevolent eyes. The next moment, Toji's sword aimed directly at the Snake Clone.
Baaam~
