As I continued punching, I lost my balance and began to fall. Louis reacted quickly. Somehow he hooked one of my legs and switched our positions. I shrieked from the sudden movement. He landed on the floor and I on his chest with arms wrapped around me.
How had he flipped our positions? Louis's reflexes were something else.
My hands went to his chest and I lifted my torso and head to look at him. His hand, which had been covering the top of my head, protecting it, came away, and his other hand came to my waist.
"Louis, are you alright?" I asked him worried.
"Yeah," he replied in a small voice. His eyes focused on me. "And you?"
"Yeah, you completely protected me and took the brunt of the fall," I reminded him. I'm sure it would have been easier for him if he'd just pulled me up with him. Did he have to fall with me?
"I would love to prove them wrong," he said.
"What?" I asked wondering what he was talking about.
