Iris:
I had been taking care of my son in the meantime, feeding him and helping him calm down.
In fact, he wanted to stay close to his father most of the time, while Kash kept getting calls from his fiancée.
Amy had finally stopped crying, but I knew the questions would start again.
"What happened to Colin, Mommy?" she had been asking nonstop.
By late afternoon, Colin was in Kash's arms, his head resting on his father's shoulder as they walked outside in the garden.
Colin refused to get down or talk to anyone, and it seemed Kash didn't want that either.
"Look at them, don't they look sweet?" my mother cheered from behind me, making me clench my fists secretly as I folded my arms across my chest.
Amy was with Scarlett, watching a cartoon movie.
I stood by the window, staring at Kash and Colin.
"Why did you do that?" I asked my mother without turning around.
She played dumb, keeping quiet until I closed my eyes and asked again.
"I know it was you."
