Iris:
"Don't worry. I'll find a way to get those things deleted," he said. "And your mother is going to answer to me."
He hissed the words, and I almost spoke something before I stopped.
He scrunched his eyebrows because he noticed.
He leaned forward with hands on his knees and nodded for me to speak.
"I was going to say she deserves whatever is coming to her for doing that to you," I said quietly, referring to the fact that he had not even been aware when it happened.
He shook his head and straightened his back. And then slid his hands into his pockets.
"No. She deserves punishment for hurting you."
My head snapped up, but he had already turned and walked out of the room.
Still, I knew he would not confront her recklessly. At least now, I was not alone.
