It was surprising that Zoe did not try to stop me. It was as if she was letting me speak however I wanted.
Or maybe she realized that if she talked too much, I would kick her out.
"This is not how you used to speak to me," Lady Vivian mumbled, finally realizing she had been fooled.
"Yeah, because that is what happens when you push someone too far. Even the nicest people in the world change how they treat you," I replied with a shrug.
"It is all on you. Not my fault." I glared her right in the eye.
"Now, if you would please let me eat and give me some peace," I hissed at the two women.
Markus did not dare speak because he knew that if he did, I would expose his secret.
"This is unbearable. Let my son come. I will tell him how you were speaking to me," Lady Vivian snapped.
"You must have lost your mind. All the praise must have gotten into your head."
She kept yelling at me, so I slammed my hand on the table.
She immediately went silent.
