It had been an hour since Tristan's car broke down on the deserted road, and it had been a long time since the last car passed by. He tried to call someone to pick him up, but unfortunately there was no signal in that area.
They were surrounded by the ocean on their left and a steep hill on their right. The road was rarely traveled, but it had beautiful scenery.
Now they were both standing near the car, hoping that another car would pass by so they could take them back to the city.
"Great. Now we're both stuck here and who knows when another car will come. It will be dark soon and there's little hope of getting out of here," he said.
"Wasn't this your idea? You insisted on bringing your car without checking that it was almost out of gas," replied Evelyne, leaning against the car.
"No need to remind me. I just forgot to fill up the gas, even though I had intended to do so."
