Naruto was very fast.
The distance from Konoha to the Land of Demons wasn't exactly close.
But with the Flying Thunder God, Naruto arrived within half an hour.
When Naruto found Kakashi in the Land of Demons, he learned that Kakashi's mission had nothing to do with the theatrical version from the original story.
Naruto then explained his purpose to Kakashi.
Kakashi didn't believe it after hearing everything and said, "Naruto, Obito sacrificed himself. He died on the battlefield protecting Konoha."
"Although that guy was unreliable, Obito was kind. He would never attack the Fourth Hokage or Lady Kushina."
After hearing Kakashi's words, Naruto sighed and shrugged helplessly.
Obito was indeed kind, but kindness and darkness were not labels that couldn't exist in the same person.
Naruto thought for a moment and asked Kakashi, "Then what do I need to do to make you believe me?"
"Naruto!" Kakashi suddenly became serious. "I told you, you've never met Obito. Obito would never do something like that!"
The corners of Naruto's lips twitched, and his originally gentle expression instantly turned cold. "Well, it seems your stance is very firm, so I'll have to…"
Puff!
"Ah!!"
Kakashi only saw a flash of golden light. Before he could react, pain shot through his eye.
Blood streamed down.
In Naruto's hand was a Sharingan.
"To make sure Obito can never get this eye, I have to destroy it." As Naruto spoke, scarlet Nine-Tails chakra gathered around him.
Under the burning heat of the chakra, Obito's Sharingan melted instantly.
Finally, it turned to ash and scattered into the air.
Even if Orochimaru showed up, no technology could repair it. It would never appear in this world again.
In fact, Naruto could have used this eye against Obito.
But there was no need.
Naruto was sure that if Obito only had one eye, he could kill him.
There was no reason to make things convenient for Obito or give him the slightest chance of regaining double Kamui.
Kakashi half-knelt on the ground, holding his blood-stained eye, and said, "I don't know what you're doing, but what I want to say is… Obito would never attack the Fourth Hokage!"
"Heh." Naruto had accomplished his goal and didn't bother arguing with Kakashi.
Looking at Naruto's cold expression, Kakashi suddenly remembered Namikaze Minato's gentle smile and cried out painfully, "Naruto… why are you like this?"
Naruto looked thoughtful for a moment, then shook his head. "I don't know… maybe because so many people treated me this way."
He didn't dwell on Kakashi any longer. Instead, he sensed a nearby Flying Thunder God mark and teleported toward Konoha…
…
Not long after, Naruto returned to the village.
With one issue resolved, he wasn't in a rush about the rest.
Konoha was here. It wasn't going anywhere.
He could get the barrier technology whenever he wanted.
For now, he should visit Hinata first.
Of course, Naruto had left a Flying Thunder God mark in the Hyuga compound as well.
He moved, the scenery blurred, and he appeared in Hinata's courtyard.
Before Naruto could take a proper look around, he heard a shout from behind: "Bad guy! Take this!"
Naruto narrowed his eyes and instinctively used Kagura's Mind Eye while dodging.
Then he froze.
He turned around, grabbed the small hand attacking him, lifted its owner up, and asked, "It's very dangerous to sneak up on me."
But the little girl was clearly unconvinced.
Anger flared in her pale eyes. She used her free limbs to scratch and kick Naruto.
But she was too small, her arms and legs too short to reach him.
Hanabi's face reddened from effort. She glared stubbornly. "Bad guy! Don't get close to my sister!"
"Why am I a bad guy?" Naruto asked, puzzled, setting Hanabi down.
Hanabi puffed her cheeks angrily. "You know my sister likes you, but you still go flirting with other girls! That makes you a bad guy!"
Naruto shook his head. "Little brat, go play."
He was in the wrong, so he didn't want to argue.
He tried to walk past her.
But Hanabi clung to his leg and yelled, "Don't go in! If you want me to accept you, you have to do something for me!"
Oh?
What's up with this little Hanabi?
Naruto became curious. He knelt down and asked the arms-akimbo Hanabi, "What is it?"
"Unless…" Hanabi's expression turned shy. She leaned close to Naruto's ear and whispered, "Unless you ask my sister how hers got so big."
Naruto: "…"
Kids these days were too precocious.
Seeing Naruto stunned, Hanabi sneered. "Haha! Just as I thought—my sister appeared in your mind, didn't she?"
Naruto's eye twitched. "…"
This little one was too mischievous.
Seeing Naruto ignore her, she grew anxious. "Well? Are you going to ask or not?"
"Oh, and… don't tell my sister I wanted to know."
Naruto shook his head, reached out, and rubbed Hanabi's head. "Your sister's secret is eating on time, sleeping early, waking up early, studying hard, and improving every day. Got it?"
"Hmph!" Hanabi snorted. "How do I know if you're lying?"
Naruto replied casually, "When have I ever lied to you?"
True…
They had never met before—Naruto couldn't have lied to her.
And this time, it wasn't exactly lying… just redirecting.
Hanabi accepted the answer and stepped aside, muttering, "My sister's in a really bad mood lately. Be careful what you say. She's scary now—say the wrong thing and she'll beat your a**!"
"Thanks for the warning." A thought passed through Naruto's mind. He pretended to search his pocket, but actually pulled a few silver pieces from his system space and handed them to her. "Go buy some candy."
Hanabi happily accepted the silver and hopped away.
Naruto straightened his expression, took a deep breath, and walked toward Hinata's room.
Hinata didn't know Naruto was back.
Naruto quietly stood at the door, looking in.
Hinata lay on her bed, wearing her Hyuga-style kimono.
Her short blue hair spilled to the sides. Her pale eyes held a hint of melancholy as she stared blankly at the sky outside the window.
She really did seem unhappy.
"Hinatā?"
Naruto lowered his voice and called softly.
Hinata's eyes brightened immediately. She turned toward the door.
Seeing Naruto standing there, Hinata's gloomy expression bloomed into joy. "Naruto? Y-You're back?"
She stood up, hurried over in a few quick steps, and the corners of her clean lips kept rising—her happiness impossible to hide.
Naruto smiled and asked, "Little Hinata, I heard you've been in a bad mood lately?"
Hinata froze at his words.
She lowered her head, pressed her fingers together, and shyly explained, "I… I heard that you… completely became a rogue ninja."
