Chapter 25 - Segment 25 - A Lesson with King Sylus

The garden behind the mansion was calm, washed in soft sunlight. Tall trees stretched their branches wide, their leaves forming a natural canopy that filtered the light into gentle patterns on the ground. The wind moved steadily through the space, cool and refreshing, carrying the faint scent of trimmed grass and distant flowers. It was quiet, but not silent....the rustle of leaves and the turning of pages filled the air.

The students sat beneath the shade, scattered in a loose semicircle.

Kairo lay on his stomach with a book open before him, one leg swinging lazily in the air as he skimmed through a page, occasionally glancing up as if afraid he might miss something. A notebook rested beside him, half-filled with hurried, uneven handwriting.

Ivy sat cross-legged, her posture relaxed. A small stack of books rested beside her, and she flipped through one slowly, pausing now and then to jot down short notes in neat lines. Every so often, the wind lifted a strand of her hair, but she hardly seemed to notice.

Ren sat slightly apart from the others, back resting lightly against the trunk of a tree. A book lay open in his hands, and though his eyes moved across the page, his attention drifted between the text and Sylus's voice. A small notebook rested on his knee, and from time to time he added a few precise words.

Zipporah sat closer to the front. Her notebook was open, and she wrote steadily, capturing nearly everything Sylus said. Her expression remained composed, though her eyes occasionally lifted to study him before returning to her notes.

Sylus stood before them, speaking calmly, his voice carried easily by the wind. He did not raise it, yet it reached each of them clearly.

Not far away, but separate from the group, Damian sat on a stone bench beneath another tree. His legs crossed and posture straight, he was reading a page in the SinBound Chronicles, he was past the common knowledge about the sins Sylus was giving the student, the ones he seek for are the forbidden ones in the Chronicles, the more he lean the more he understood the concept about the sins.

From that distance, he watched each movement from time to time, each reaction, each habit, His gaze moved from one student to another, quiet and calculating.

Close enough for Sylus to see him.

Far enough to remain uninvolved.

The wind passed again through the garden, turning another page, lifting loose notes, and carrying Sylus's words softly through the shade as the lesson continued.

Kiro lifted his hands and sat up, " Sir Sylus? question "

"speak up "

" a page I read talked about a contrast between master and sin but never explained, it just mentioned it and moved on to the next, I really wanted to know about that part"

Sylus paced slowly, " that part of the lesson is for another time, when its right I will let you know"

Ivy raised her hand

" spake"

" you mentioned something about the absorbing of a sin, you said that the power transforms into a spiritual core ones it gets into a person spiritual core,"

" yes"

" it is also commonly known that the slightest shifted or unbalance of a person's core will cause it to burst, how does the power get in you lat alone manifest it's core without killing the person"

a small silence loomed around them, Sylus sat on a bench and a round table under the shade, one that they refused to use, the pleased his elbow on the table and crossed his fingers in front of him, he looked at the other and they slowly came to sit around the table.

Sylus breathed out " burning our session last two days we went though how the seven sins were created, any one care to repeat what went on"

Zipporah looked around and spoke " you mentioned, long ago when the world was half of it's population now, the negative emotions, raw and untamed powers gathered and many places then the pillar of balance was formed and it took these energy under it's control thus teaming them and giving each a purpose and uniqueness- "

' Damian ' Sylus called mentally.

Damian looked up from his book at the mention of his name

' yes master '

'Where is Asta '

' he is currently with Sir Diablo, my little brother wishes to give advice and Sir Diablo agreed to have him as a helping hand '

'of course he would, with the hurricane of questions he flooded he with about Asts and you, I knew he had some personal motive'

' should I get him'

' no need, let them be but I need you to get the books we discussed of yesterday evening '

' yes Master'

Damian stood up and walked to inside,

" Do you four know the sins" Sylus cut in.

" yeah we all know them" kairo responded

" name them"

"there is Pride, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath, Lust"

" did you notice anything "Sylus asked.

" they are named after negative human emotions" Zipporah answered.

" correct, and do you know why "

" is it secretly the negative human emotions:" Ivy whispered

" depending on how you look at it " Sylus replied

" have you heard of the three clans of Zennin "

there was a short silence before Zipporah spoke

" I know about those clans"

In the long corridors Damian walked politely moving outside with three books in his hands, looking down at them they contain information of the sins that the public didn't know, its not like it was a secret to be hidden but it contains the origin about the sins,

he has long read through those books after Lady Asha defeated him and decided to take him under her care,

he passed by the field it was big but empty, at the corner Gen stood with a man taller than him, he seems to be given orders to him.

' how does one give orders to one who is looking down at you' he thought, looking at them for a while he shock his head,

' why did the Lady pick a man with the body of a woman' he whispered.

after going down a stair and another corridor he saw the fields where Sylus sat with his student around a table,

For the past two days he has been busy with his students and forgot about something important,

he touched his blindfold softly feeling irritated,

Asta is no more, he is somewhat into the student of Sir Diablo, it's not a surprise since he would talk to the other sins and they have given him a mission, one that he has to see through not because it was an order but because he has something to gain too, me leaves the masters side early and returns late, but with him gone it should be easy, but master Sylus isn't bothered about the folds anymore, later he wanted it gone and Asta interrupted, now seems to be the best time, Sylus is too busy with his student to pay attention to something easy to miss.

The wind pushed past his hair and they fell back when it stopped, he smooth them into the neat appearance of a sin bound to his master.

If master Sylus isn't gonna pay attention he would make his.
