Lucien's POV
She sprinted off like she was being chased and maybe she was. I was curious what she would ask for if she won didn't expect she would waste it on something I was already keen on doing
I wondered if she suspected I let her win.
A sigh escaped my lips as I watched her back disappear into a corner until she disappeared. I could finally breathe.
She was completely caught up in her world, she didn't seem to notice anything or the effect her proximity had on me. Braelyn slept leaning against me the entire ride, and for the first time, I noticed her soft floral perfume.
It reminds me of flowers after being wet by the rain. It was calming yet intoxicating at the same time
My body reacted in ways it couldn't have. I hissed once more before approaching the stairs, ignoring the fact that I was so damn turned on my loins ached.
She didn't even notice my discomfort the slightest. Her expression kept resurfacing in my mind. Her words didn't match her actions.
