Braelyn's POV
Silvia's sudden resignation felt suspicious and made me wary. In the end, there wasn't much I could do about it. I didn't have her contact information, since in all she was still a maid, and speaking to Raphael wouldn't amount to much.
"Dinner is ready," a soft voice informed me from the door. I let out a soft sigh then stood up from the bed. I had no idea of what to expect.
Soft chatter could be heard from the table, as expected Raphael was back with Amelia. My eyes lingered on her a bit longer, noticing she was seated at the normal spot, usually close to Raphael.
I pursed my lips and did not bother to say much. She could have the seat for all I care, I didn't want to sit close to Raphael anyway.
They seemed lost in their world, or were probably ignoring me. The chair creaked against the floor as I took the seat farthest from them, opposite Raphael.
