Cassandra's POV

I blinked at Alaric, he still had a stern expression with no hidden intentions but his words were ambiguous, staring at his body was pure temptation.
I gulped trying my best to let my eyes not wander. "Come one Cassandra i need your help," Alaric added quietly snapping me from my thoughts.
I bit my lips and pried my feet off the floor walking slowly towards the bed until I got to his side. On a closer view, he looked more intimidating and alluring.
"Where is the ointment?" I asked. Alaric handed me a washtub for me then slowly turned his back to me.
His back was masked with several purplish marks, I heard there was an accident from the rescue operation for him to be hurt like this it must have hurt and the entire time he didn't show the slightest indication he was hurt.
I sank on the bed sitting behind him. The tube was already open or all I did was take a bit of the ointment and start to apply it to his bruises.
