"Catch up, Golduck! Water Gun! Confusion!"
As the battle commenced, Gu Yuan took the lead by having Ditto take to the skies. Yellow electricity enveloped Magnezone as the Charge Beam prepared to fire.
Golduck shot out bursts of water using Water Gun, then reinforced them with Confusion to use as platforms. It stepped upward rapidly, closing the distance to Magnezone. Since she had sent out Golduck, Mitsuki naturally did not fear Ditto transforming into an Electric-type Pokémon.
The moment the Charge Beam shot forward, Golduck blocked it with Ice Beam.
"Golduck, force Magnezone down with Blizzard!"
A bone-chilling wind rose, sweeping toward Magnezone.
"Thunder!"
A yellow pillar of lightning crashed down. The previous Charge Beam had successfully boosted Magnezone's Special Attack by one stage, making the Thunder like a sharp blade that easily tore through the Blizzard.
However, Golduck had already appeared behind Magnezone, releasing an Ice Beam.
"Ditto, Thunder Wave!"
Under the Magnet Pull ability, the speed of the Thunder Wave expansion was incredibly fast. By the time the Ice Beam successfully hit Magnezone, the Thunder Wave had also struck Golduck, leaving it paralyzed.
"Electric Terrain! Charge Beam!"
Compared to the paralysis, the Ice Beam wasn't enough to freeze Magnezone. As Electric Terrain covered the field, Ditto released another Charge Beam.

The freezing winds fell. Even though Charge Beam triggered its additional effect again—boosting Ditto's Special Attack another stage—and was further empowered by Electric Terrain, it still wasn't enough to fully stop the Blizzard's erosion.
The remaining power of the frigid winds was eventually blocked by Magnezone's Discharge.
"Golduck, Surf! Ice Beam!"
Using Surf, a massive amount of water surged forth, which was then frozen into a small falling iceberg by the Ice Beam.

"Alakazam, Teleport! Magnezone, Thunder!"
A rapid series of commands followed. Ditto immediately transformed into Alakazam and used Teleport to appear behind Golduck. As the paralysis effect ended, Ditto transformed back into Magnezone and unleashed Thunder.
At such close range, Golduck couldn't dodge. It could only bite the bullet and resist with Ice Beam. The result was obvious: the Ice Beam was instantly overwhelmed, and the remaining power of the Thunder poured into Golduck.
"Ditto, continuous Charge Beam!"
After the Thunder hit, Gu Yuan had Ditto intensify the offensive. With a high 70% trigger rate, Ditto raised its Special Attack by two more stages during the pursuit. Looking at the charred Golduck, which had lost its ability to battle, Mitsuki immediately swapped to her second Pokémon.
A white light flashed as Ditto transformed into Alakazam and used Nasty Plot.
"Onix, Dig!"
Ultimately, Mitsuki still chose not to send out her Grass-type. Instead, she released Onix to attack. The massive body began to move as Onix quickly drilled underground. Ditto took the opportunity to fly into the air using psychic power.
"Burst out! Stone Edge!"
At Mitsuki's voice, Onix lunged out of the ground, launching itself into the air. Jagged stones gathered, sweeping toward Ditto like a rainstorm.
"Ditto, Psychic!"
Under such a dense offensive, even Teleport would be difficult to use for a perfect escape. Gu Yuan chose to have Ditto strike back directly. With its Special Attack boosted to the limit, the Psychic surged out like a giant python, shattering the Stone Edge. Much like the previous Golduck, Onix's move mastery was very high, leaving no room for Gu Yuan to be careless.
"Onix, Dragon Tail!"
The moment Ditto released its move, Mitsuki had Onix use Dragon Tail during its remaining airtime. Dragon Tail, one of Onix's egg moves, only had a power of 60, but it could force the current opponent to leave the field and bring out the next Pokémon. Mitsuki was ready; the moment Ditto was forced out, she would immediately send out another Pokémon to launch a fierce attack and seize the advantage.
"I expected that. Ditto, Confusion!"
Facing Onix's attack, Gu Yuan showed no panic. Psychic energy expanded, turning into an invisible hand that accelerated Onix's fall, causing the Dragon Tail to brush past Ditto.
"Kingdra, Hydro Pump!"
The instant Onix was forced down, Ditto transformed again. The Hydro Pump blasted Onix directly into the ground.
"Alakazam, Teleport! Kingdra, Hydro Pump!"
Seeing Mitsuki reach for her Poké Ball, Gu Yuan immediately had Ditto pick up the pace. Ditto first used Teleport to close the distance, then transformed back into Kingdra to fire another Hydro Pump. Onix's Special Defense was naturally weak, while Ditto's Special Attack was boosted to the limit. Combined with the fourfold water weakness, just two Hydro Pumps were enough to defeat Onix.
The red recall beam arrived too late, capturing the already defeated Onix. The third Pokémon took the field. Now, Mitsuki could only rely on her Grass-types to force the issue.
"Ditto, Inferno!"
The moment Vileplume appeared, a massive amount of fire surged out, instantly turning the surroundings into a sea of flames that rushed toward Vileplume.
"Vileplume, Seed Bomb!"
Seeds infused with special energy flew out, exploding the moment they touched the fire to resist the encroaching flames.
"Continuous Inferno!"
With its Special Attack boosted to the maximum, added to Houndoom's already excellent base stats, the surging flames were not restricted but grew even more vigorous. As the sea of fire continued to spread, it soon enveloped Vileplume. Seed Bomb alone could no longer protect Vileplume from the heat. Under the high-temperature roasting, Vileplume's stamina was draining rapidly.
Watching Ditto, Mitsuki could see that its stamina consumption was also very heavy. No matter how excellently Gu Yuan trained Ditto, he couldn't compensate for its rapid stamina drain. In previous battles, although Gu Yuan had Ditto finish fights quickly, releasing multiple high-powered moves was a huge drain on Ditto.
